Hotel was lovely and a beautiful setting. Views were stunning. EV charger was a must for us due to travelling from Scotland and no issues. Booked a meal for 22 people and pre-ordered. Food was great and service was good. Room was spacious and comfortable.

Service was a bit slow. Received too many emails regarding my booking - 2 a day on several days. Could do with a vending machine as its quite a way away from any shops and very limited on what snacks to buy at the bar. Prices a bit high in bar but no other option. £5 for a glass of juice!! Leisure facilities were freezing in the changing room and shower was cold.

The derwent manor is absolutely beautiful! From the grounds when you get there, right down to the decor and different lightings. It’s really moody with lovely neutral and dark tones for decor, and warm lighting for a lovely chilled out feel. We had an evening meal and also breakfast during our stay and both were absolutely delicious, my steak I had on the night was the best steak I’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection😍 the staff were also very friendly and nothing was ever too much! Also our bed in our room was massive and exceptionally comfy😍

Literally the only thing is the parking. Doesn’t seem to be a great deal of parking and we really struggled finding somewhere.

Beautiful grounds, building had loads of character, all staff were very friendly, huge comfy bed, great facilities in the room including Def coffee and a complimentary bottle of water. Ate in both restaurants and food was really good in both.

Pool facilities were very dated and poor, took away from the overall look and feel of the boutique hotel. There were signs which explained they were in the process of updating but might have been better to close off this area whilst updating because it took from the ludicrous feel of the rest of the hotel. Also some areas in our room which had been filled on the ceiling but had been left without sanding or painting over - left the room feeling a bit scruffy.

This hotel was beautiful , stayed in the hideaways section as it was the same price as a double room. Watched tv and chilled all night. They had Rituals products in the room so I was sold as I love these. Breakfast was superb good variety of things to pick from including a full breakfast. They even had marmite which is my favourite so I had some nice buttered toast. I couldn’t fault anything the staff were attentive when I went for evening meal. Spot on ! I highly recommend this hotel and would most certainly stay here again. More hotels need to follow the design, service and overall stay.

Reception staff very helpful. Lovely large clean room. The hotel and decoration was excellent. Good quality breakfast, everything required was available.

Restaurant and bar was good but could do better. Dinner we had the fillet steak ordered medium rare, but when arrived was well done, disappointing. After dinner Port was served in a brandy glass and incorrect measure given. The table server did not know what port was. The manager quickly sorted it out. At the bar I ordered a straight brandy but this was served in a tall tumbler and offered ICE!! and coke!! Yuck! Obviously the bar staff do not know how to serve Cognac.

As always from the moment you arrive the staff are absolutely lovely, friendly welcoming and full of information! From the reception ladies, to the bar staff, nothing is ever too much trouble and you instantly feel at ease and relaxed. The food is outstanding, we particularly enjoy the pizzas and have never had a bad meal from dinner to breakfast in the 5 times we have stayed. The consistency of high standards is why we keep returning for an evening away from the kids! We've stayed in a few different rooms but even the standard rooms are just lovely.

The only negative I could even think is the car park gets quite full so could maybe do with a larger area for parking, but we've always got a spot on arrival!

What a stunning property!! Every fine detail was high quality & this showed throughout from the public areas to the design of the rooms. The front desk staff were so kind & friendly even when I arrived to check in just before 11pm due to road delays while travelling to the hotel. Even the cleaning staff all said good morning when I was heading out in the morning which was so nice to hear. I look forward to working in the area again next year so I can make sure I book my stay at this lovely hotel again. Thank you to everyone for making my stay so lovely!

The fact I only stayed for one night!

Breakfasts were very good with.an excellent choice of fruit, cereal etc plus cooked food. I enjoyed dinner on Friday night with a good choice on the menu. Food was delicious, well presented by friendly, efficient staff..

The one area I felt could have been much better was the addition of a good mirror and adequate lighting. I think most women would agree a good mirror with good lighting with a comfortable seat for applying make up would be a good addition to rooms. That said I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this comfortable hotel with extremely helpful staff in beautiful surrounds.

Very good location. The hotel is very well kept. The room was comfortable and great service overall.

We were left slightly disappointed with the restaurant. One, we had booked a table well in advance and were seated next to the kitchen so asked to be moved, which they accommodated. Then there were a couple of issues with the cooking: duck overcooked and the sweet potatoes rolled in puff pastry undercooked (pastry was raw). We notified the waitress and they offered complimentary sides. The service was good and the rest of the dishes cooked well. The bar is absolutely stunning and staffs very attentive.
