Everything. We stayed in the spa suite in the new building and it was perfect. So nicely curated and had everything you could possibly need as well as some nice touches like complimentary home made biscuits and soft drinks in the fridge. The spa itself was fantastic - newly refurbished and never felt too busy in the sauna and steam. Lovely outdoor hot tub and pool with views over the Sussex countryside. The classic charm of the main hotel building contrasted beautifully with the modernity of the spa. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay (took my partner here for her birthday). 10/10 - booking.com need to revisit the 3 star rating asap.

Staff were really polite and friendly. The room was nicely decorated with two period windows - we had the cosy room and whilst it felt lovely and cosy on a cold, winter's night, it was by no means small. Nice walk in shower too. The spa facilities were excellent and loved the indoor/outdoor pool. We didn't eat at Ockenden manor but there were some good eating choices just a short walk away from the hotel.

When we arrived the spa unfortunately was closed due to unforeseen circumstances however we have been given day passes to return another time and thankfully not living too far away, this was sufficient for us.

Very comfortable bedroom which excellent tea/coffee and water facilities in the room. Staff were extremely attentive and professional throughout. Excellent Spa with optional therapeutic treatments available, with a well appointed relaxation room with weighted blankets and a wonderful view across the south downs. Indoor/outdoor heated pool! Fabulous! Access to complementary herbal tea, hot drinks and water. Dinner was exceptionally cooked and beautifully presented.

Spa was so busy on Sunday morning that is was difficult to find somewhere to sit. 12.5% service charge added to the bill, which was optional, but was added without asking.

Very clean, polite and diligent staff, good facilities. Good location, half an hour to the coast, beautiful setting and access to some wonderful restaurants in Haywards Heath. Spa was exceptional and the spa rooms were lovely.

Food choice was limited but delicious. Access to the pool was restricted at certain times for children and the hotel seemed more catered towards couples rather than families. Everything shuts down at 10pm including within Cuckfield itself.

It was lovely to have fresh coffee for breakfast - also the fresh fruit and pastries were good. We loved the pools in the spa and the general ambience there with coffee and water etc. My bed (in Timothy) was very comfortable and the Walter room was really nice with an excellent bathroom.

It was very hot in the spa but the pool water, in contrast, was decidedly chilly! The treatments were good but very expensive. My room (Timothy) was a little cramped, and there wasn't a good shower.

Lovely breakfast and atmosphere was welcoming. Staff very pleasant. Near to the main village area.

Unfortunately the spa was closed due to an unfortunate incident. We had booked purposely for going to spa. No compensation or making up for the fact i.e reduction in bill, or complimentary food or a voucher for another day etc. We had to ask whether we could have any compensation and it wasnt forthcoming only the general manager would be in touch, very poor.

Another wonderful stay at Ockenden Manor Hotel. Our room (Edward) was glorious. Very comfortable with great views of the countryside (South Downs) in the distant. I have been quite ill and had a lot of dietary requirements, which the hotel's restaurant was more than happy to attend to.

Two minor comments. Even though bedroom was wonderful, it could have done with a little more light when all lights switched on. The second comment is that for the spa some people tend to hog the jacuzzis. On the Friday night, there was a party of 6 women who camped in the outside jacuzzi for 90 minutes, which no-one else got a look in. Realise this is not the fault of the hotel itself but maybe consider a polite notice for people to sit in a jacuzzi for say 30 mins max when busy.

Quaint hotel… decor a little dated, but beautiful view from our room, quiet, bed nice size. Nice big bath ! Decent breakfast. Courteous and attentive staff . Local 2 restaurants are fabulous. Spa was nice , with lots of areas to enjoy

Room was too hot for me even with radiator off, dinner was very expensive so we ate out. Treatments at the spa were very expensive so didn’t book anything… which was a great shame.

Everything about our stay was top notch. The staff were lovely, the food was delicious and the spa amenities exceeded our expectations. We came for a relaxing weekend and that's exactly what we got. I would highly recommend Ockenden Manor.

The bed was a little too stiff for me personally and the pillows too soft but other than that no complaints

The hotel & grounds were extremely peaceful and the room and spa facilities were exceptional. All staff throughout my stay made me feel very welcome and comfortable everyone was lovely, it was a spontaneous trip & I visited the hotel earlier than I had planned but I am already planning to come back! Felt like I was on holiday and perfect for a solo getaway.
