We only had a brief 12 hour stay on our work trip so didn’t meet the staff in person but on the phone they were so very helpful and the room was lovely and they even left us some breakfast in the room the night before as they knew we were heading off early in the morning.

If I were going to be Uber picky, I would prefer if there was some sort of extra lock on the door - it was just a key and if unlocked the dog could push the door open. staying in hotels a lot that always makes me feel a bit more comfortable if there is an extra lock, but this is not really a complaint, more a personal preference. It was probably in my top 3 favourite places I have stayed in my years of hotel staying for work and it certainly hasn’t put me off staying in the future.

We really loved this place. Truly gorgeous and the cottage was fantastic and good value too. A peaceful lovely location. Easy to find and near to a campsite where family were staying. I loved the shop full of gorgeous Indian inspired furniture, handmade jewellery, fabrics, bags, gifts galore. the eating area was beautiful. very tastefully decorated on an Indian theme with authentic items of furniture there. Staff so very friendly and lovely. so much that was brilliant here. We'd want to return.

The mattresses were not very comfortable. The one in the double room was lumpy and bumpy; I guess well-worn. The two single ones in what is a kids' room/second bedroom, were not very comfortable' maybe cheap foam. Such a gorgeous place it is a shame that the mattresses let it down somewhat. Replace them and it would be truly perfect.

Great Welcome, to a lovely venue. Staff friendly and helpful throughout our stay.The room was stylishly decorated and clean, the bed was comfortable. Quality tea and toiletries. Pleasant courtyard setting with table and chairs outside. The Continental breakfast was a real delight, lovely to be served out on the deck. This was an ideal stop-over enroute to the coast. The pizza and prosecco event on Sunday afternoon looked and smelt wonderful, it was a shame they couldn't continue into the evening.

The view from our room was a bit marred by the function marquee, & net curtains would have given us some privacy. The room was quite warm, there was an oscillating fan, and although thankfully the windows opened, the catches wouldn't fasten securely on vent. If we were staying longer we'd have wished for some storage space, a mini fridge and fresh milk. There are few places nearby that serve food on a Sunday evening; our experience at the Griffin inn, a few minutes drive away was disappointing, but that's a different story.

Staff very helpful when they knew we'd be arriving late. Beautifully restored buildings in a lovely landscape, extremely comfortable, tastefully and originally decorated room (with an interesting book about the place's history), excellent breakfast.

Main question -- not a complaint -- is why stick with the name of the overall business rather than calling the accommodation something different? Whatever its associations for the owner, Trading Boundaries sounds like an industrial estate.The Staging Post, Vishisht De Luxe, Lord Sheffield's Pub --almost any name would be better. Oh, and while it's a brilliant place for a short stay, the room might have seemed a little cramped if we had been there longer. (Double room but only one armchair; not a lot of space for clothes.)

Ideally situated for Sheffield Park and The Bluebell Railway. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking, lovely location, historic building, surrounded by countryside.

When booking this property you need to be aware that they have live music events on Friday and Saturday nights that can be noisy with performing groups. We stayed Thursday night which was lovely and quiet but Friday was busy and very noisy. We were unaware until we checked in and was told about the events. Will suit those that enjoy live music, unfortunately not us. The property is close to Gatwick so you will hear aircraft up to midnight and after 6am. Our room No 4 was quite small and the bathroom smaller.

Well decorated rooms with thoughtful touches. Lovely toiletries to use, nice tea choices, biscuits and water. Big soft towels, very comfortable mattress. Very nice breakfast included, Greek yogurt with granola, tea/coffee, juice, toast with good bread and lovely large croissants all with the usual condiments, alfresco breakfast on Sunday ☀️!Really excellent value indeed - our second time staying after we visit The Glyndebourne - we’re very happy guests. 🌟🌟

Only reason we didn’t give it a 10 is because the rooms are beautiful but hot. Ideally aircon would make it perfect- but we are ‘hot’ people, others may find this a positive! We usually remove the duvet from the cover and just sleep under the cover and use the fan provided in each room. Also the beds are doubles so a little snug, BUT the mattress really is super comfortable. We will happily stay again without hesitation.

This is a really interesting place, and overall in a good location for our visit goals. The room we had was large and with a large double bed. It was quiet and with plenty of parking. Overall, a good place to stay that I would use again. The shop and Roger Dean gallery in the hotel were a real bonus that we enjoyed.

Though breakfast was provided, this consisted of a quite limited choice of, ok but not great. I would have liked a bit more choice given that they run quite an extensive restaurant service there.

We had a wonderful stay at Trading boundaries. Apart from the thoughtful and beautiful ambience which is created at this place, the staff are exceptional and really make an effort to make you feel welcome and provide an individual service. It was surprisingly magnificent in every way. We would highly recommend this place and would stay here again. Thank you to all the wonderful team, who all seem so happy and helpful. We were met by a very pleasant person (not sure if he was the owner) who made us very welcome, explained where everything was and showed us to our room. He explained what breakfast was (continental only). Breakfast was super and varied although the toast was a little too crispy for our liking. Room was a little small but very comfortable bed. The owner was only too pleased to show us around their Art Gallery and was very informative about the exhibits and also the upcoming music events they were hosting.

Television could have normal TV channels, was told there was no arial connected but not sure if that was just a temporary glitch. Wash basin in the bathroom was too small. These were only very small things in what was a really super hotel and stay.

When we stayed for two nights this week It was quiet, peaceful, and far enough away for us from the hustle and bustle of Brighton where we have family to visit. They do host weddings though, so you might wish to check if there are any booked for when you plan to stay. The bedroom was lovely, as was the dining area both of which were a bit unusual, and quirky. We were able to take our dog; he sat under our table when we had breakfast, and there are fields which belong to the property we could give him a bit of a stretch around.

There was nothing we didn't like, although I was concerned about checking in between 4 and 7pm due to the length of our journey. I needn't have worried as the staff phoned me during our drive to check our anticipated time of arrival. When we took a break I phoned them and paid for the room and they sent us a key code so we could access the room if we were late, although we did actually make it by 6pm. (I thought the payment would be automatic through booking.com)
