Alicija at check in was the most welcoming hotel staff I have ever met 👼🏽 I made a very last minute booking and she accommodated my special requests as soon as I checked in. She was very empathetic and on hand whenever I called. My check in with her was the highlight of my stay as I felt at home instantly. If the hotel manager is reading this then I hope he can pass this on to her and consider promoting her to co-manager ☺️😅 The room: very quaint and cute. If you like Downtown Abbey then you will be overjoyed to sleep in the room 😅 The bed was comfortable and I liked the toiletries in the bathroom. They were all evidently high quality products as my usually sensitive skin reacted very positively to the body wash and hand wash. The area itself is so beautiful and one of the most affluent and safest of London so do not hesitate to book if you’re worried about location.
The man at checkout was very abrupt and came across as very cold. The door of the bedroom had a gap so you could hear anything from the corridor. Maybe they should replace the bedroom door. The shower had a curtain only instead of what was formerly a glass door. Water went everywhere as a result.

I stayed at the Coach & Horses Kew Green for 9 nights, during a work trip. I must say that this is one of the best experiences I've ever had in terms of hospitality in London! First of all, the staff working there was very welcoming and thoughtful, especially Alicjia, who is one of the most kind and beautiful souls ever met! She is a true gem, treats every single guest as a long-standing friend and she makes you feel like home! Breakfast was quite good with lots of choices (buffet with baked goods, juice, fruits, cereal, yogurt etc. as well as a nice menu of cooked breakfast options), room was extremely quiet and clean, with proper room temperature, lots of amenities, and a super comfy bed! The location is ideal if you want to visit Kew Gardens and Richmond (Kew Gardens tube station is at a walking distance). Will definitely come back one day!

The pub/hotel is in a beautiful location, and our room overlooked the green which meant we had lovely views. The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated and had some character with lovey vintage furniture and interesting artwork. The best part was the close proximity to Kew Gardens, and the fact we could park for free not only the day we arrived but also the day we checked out- such a rarity in London.
Very little to comment on, other than the room being quite expensive (but, most decent places in London are!), and also the ladies toilets in the pub itself were not overly clean. The bathroom in the room however was spotless.

This hotel is part of a first-rate pub with excellent food. It is located within walking distance of Kew Gardens which was our main reason for visiting. Our room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. However, the greatest selling point for this hotel is the people. Alicia (sp?) at the front desk is a gem. She's efficient, humorous and always helpful. She made us feel very much at home and was there to help with any questions. We were also very fortunate to have Mandy as a server in the dining room; again, a very present, humorous and helpful lass, The pub also has an excellent pint of bitter.

We had the pleasure of booking the Coach and Horses for a one night stay before flying back home to Australia. We didn't know until we arrived what an absolute gem we had stumbled upon. The staff across all facilities be it hotel or food were so lovely and even helped us store our bags for the day before our flight in the evening. The room itself was the star of the show. Immaculate vibes from the faux rotary phone to the floral theme on the walls. It's clear a lot of love and effort has been put into the accommodation and it pays off in dividends to combine for a wonderful nights stay. The location of the hotel itself came with its own benefits being so close to the Botanic gardens and only a short bus ride into town it was perfect Even though we were only there for a night we wish it could have been longer and cannot recommend the Coach and Horses enough

This is one of those few occurrences when I'm a bit reluctant to write the review the place deserves, because of being afraid that the hotel will become too popular and will raise prices :). I came here to visit Kew Gardens and the hotel's location is ideally suited for that, just 5 minute walk from Elisabeth gate. I was met by an exceptionally kind lady at reception who made me feel right at home. The room was luxurious and comfortable - this has been the first time I've actually stayed in a room which is shown in hotel's publicity pictures. There was an extensive minibar in the room, which I did not peruse, and a great coffee machine, which I did. And an apple as a tasty welcome snack for the guests was very kind touch.
Did not have any serious qualms. The worst that could say was that access to some rooms are not step-free, so if you are concerned about that you should warn the hotel beforehand to get a room without steps. Did not have a chance to try the breakfast.

Location was perfect for our visit to Kew. Lovely receptionist was amazing - when we left we felt we should take her with us on our next part of our holiday! Mandy in the dining room worked so hard and arranged an impromptu birthday cake for our birthday girl. Hotel was warm and welcoming, delicious breakfast and loved the decor. Rooms were lovely. Bed comfortable, room was quiet. Good coffee machine and joy of joy - fresh milk in the fridge! A hamper of goodies if you needed extras (at an extra cost) and toiletries good quality. My second stay and won't be the last.
Bathroom could do with a bit of a revamp in places, looked like there'd been a leak at some point and the grouting needed a good bleach.

It was the warmest welcome I’ve received at a hotel for a long time. Communications were excellent throughout the booking and before arrival. The room had been prepared so there was a relaxing vibe immediately on entering. In fact, the room was perfect. I travel extensively and if anything have become more critical. The location was great and the breakfast was the best vegetarian breakfast I’ve ever had outside of home. The non-vegetarian was also amazing apparently. The evening meal was equally as good. On returning in the evening, one of the staff members welcomed me back my name just to ask If I’d had a good day. Where would you usually get that? Thank you to everyone for making this the best stay away that I can remember. Top quality!

What can I say, I think her name was Alicia, she was amazing! So helpful, welcoming and hospitable. She made the place, it was a great hotel but it’s the staff that makes the ambience and atmosphere and consequently impact on your experience. Thank you for being so wonderful! Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely go back( I rarely write reviews but it was such a positive and above average experience) you rarely have such excellent unwavering customer service. Thank you!😊Breakfast great too.

Wonderful place to stay, eat and drink. We were impressed by the free parking offered in such a busy area. Extremely comfortable bedroom, impressive minibar. Such a friendly, helpful lady on check-in. Excellent Sunday roast beef dinner with good variety of drinks on offer. We recommend this place highly and will certainly look out for other Youngs pubs with hotels in the South.
TV set up with Skybox - we couldn’t get the TV working properly, only showed ITV. Tried to phone reception several times in evening, no reply. The TV issue is a known problem, we were told on checking out. So why not find a simpler basic TV set up? Bathroom - very clean, good fittings; but walls and ceiling had big flaking paint patches, damp? Great selection in minibar of products to pay for; free drinks included coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Seemed a bit mean not to offer free water bottles and biscuits.
