Couldn't take breakfast as I had an early start, this was a bit of a shame. Breakfast could be served a bit earlier than 8:30. Evening meal was pretty good, I had a beef chilli which was a little basic (just a portion of rice, no nachos, cheese, sour cream, veg etc), but it was served extremely fiery. I had asked for a bit of extra heat and they certainly didn't disappoint. Fortunately I can take a bit of heat, many others would have sent it back I suspect. The other meals in our party were also good. Good beers on tap, would definitely consider another stay at Black Horse if attending a Blyton Park track day again.

Parking was tricky when I first arrived. Would be good if they were able to reserve parking ahead of arrival for those bringing classics or rare/valuable/cherished vehicles that aren't suitable for leaving in the road. Eventually got parked up OK after a bit of car Jenga though. Checking in at the bar and queuing behind customers ordering drinks and food took a bit longer than is ideal, given the distance I'd travelled. Could be an easier way of handling this, but this wasn't outside my expectations.

Breakfast choice was fine. A fully cooked English for £9.95, or beans or egg on toast, or bacon or sausage sandwich on white bread + pot of tea £6.45. Ordered the night before, ready in the morning in the pub restaurant. Rooms themselves are amazing value, very well equipped indeed, comfortable and well furnished with good wifi but a terrible phone signal. Good Chinese takeaway opposite as an alternative to pub food if needed, and an excellent ice-cream specialist 50m away which was a nice surprise. Free parking a big benefit.

10am departure time should be 11am on a Sunday when its not the working week and people are generally in less of a rush. The breakfast sandwiches needed to have more about them: more bacon or a more sausage and perhaps the option to add an egg as they are too basic compared to the full English which was only a little more money. The sandwich option lacked value in comparison, £4.50 would have been a more appropriate price for what was served - a minor quibble against a very pleasant stay

Staff was very nice, I was running a bit late and lady on the phone told me that in case they will be closed. She will leave my room open with a key inside. When I arrived the owner was waiting for me, he quickly showed me around and helped me to book a breakfast. Food was very good, I felt good after it. It was light and I felt Full after English breakfast. I came back in the evening for dinner as I was going back to London after the whole day at the race track. Dinner was very good. Elderly Lady who was taking care of my order was very kind and positive. I felt welcome at all times. Smell fo the room pleasant Heating in the room very good. I couldn't connect to WiFi in the room but i didn't mind that. Plenty of parking spaces. Big Patio. Cameras all over the parking makes it safe.

Sofa had some stains on it. Under the pillows on the sofa was lots of dirt. Floor had some marks on it ad if it wasn't cleaned. Two cups for tea or coffee weren't cleaned properly and had some left overs stains after previous drinks. Spoons also were dirty.

As I was having training at Blyton Park race trace the location is perfect as it’s only 2 miles away, I paid £55 per night so an absolute bargain cost wise. The room was clean and tidy with fresh towels each day. The pub itself is ran like a well oiled machine, the staff are 100% on it, food came out hot, tasty and within minutes from ordering! Over the 3 nights I had the chilli, steak pie and the sausages & mash, all were great 👍

If I was to pick one potential thing, it would be the 10am check out, it feels early but saying that I was up out an gone by 9:30am so on this occasion it didn’t make any difference.

Great location for where I was going next day ... literally 1.5miles down the road. Very biker friendly place. Room was a little basic but it was warm, and very spacious with lots of power points. Shower didn't look that good but was really excellent !!

Room was very warm. It was 24 deg outside and the bathroom seemed to have underfloor heating that was belting it out.. Would be great in winter though ! WiFi password was displayed in many places but neither my phone nor the laptop would connect ??

Bit of noise from customers using the beer garden which was directly outside of my room's window, although this never went on very late so wasn't really a big issue. The pull cord for the bathroom was right in the corner behind the door which seemed a slightly odd placement but that could be me just being picky.

Came up for work as I was working nearby at Blyton Park and needed somewhere cheap but nice to stay and this place ticked all the boxes. No fuss check in/out which was perfect for me. The room was rather cold at first but soon warmed up. Was clean and very comfortable and as someone who normally struggles to sleep for a first night anywhere different I slept like a ROCK. FANTASTIC STAY and WILL be returning!!

TV was too tiny to really see properly so I used my laptop instead. Not the end of the world

The venue was chosen only because it was a convenient half way point to meet up with some friends for a drink and was dog friendly so we didn't have high expectations but were very pleasantly suprised. Turned out to be a great choice. The staff were really friendly, the rooms were simple but clean, the food was tasty and served in generous portions and there was even a reasonable selection of drinks.

The room was cold when we arrived but quickly fixed once we worked out the heating controls.

The rooms are very generous and good value for money. The pub has a pleasant atmosphere, a good range of drinks and a menu of pub classics. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wherever I stay I ask for the bed to be made up with two sheets as I do not like sleeping under a duvet alone. Only about 20% of establishments get it right first time and the Black Horse is one of them so well done.

Not serving breakfast until 8.30 am when we had to be somewhere else by that time.

Missed breakfast due to early appointment but the evening meal was homecooked and good sized portion. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Took my meal and drink order and told to sit down and they would bring over everything over when ready. Very good efficient service with a smile.

Early breakfast would have been an advantage. However this is a very minor detail and one of choice.
