We loved our stay, the room was larger in person than in the pictures, it was clean and beautifully presented. The bed was softer than home but very comfortable. Hugh is a fantastic host! The dining room is cosy with beautifully laid out tables and fresh home made bread. Hugh cooking and milling around gives the room some atmosphere along with light music. The breakfast itself was outstanding! I can recommend the porridge with stem ginger also. Access to Lincoln is 25 minutes to the castle and cathedral areas and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants within 15 minutes of the farm. There are also plenty of walks to go on between the villages and footpaths surrounded by countryside. I would recommend Brampton Dales Farm to anyone that enjoys peace, quiet and also visiting the local attractions or walking. It is a lovely place with many possibilities for day trips and a lovely atmosphere. They do have some animals here so the country code is important and the rooster will try to get you up early for breakfast haha.

I wanted to write something witty but I got nothing.

freshly cooked full English breakfast with gorgeous homemade bread cereal and jams available, lovely friendly hosts ,Hugh looked after us and was brilliant and welcomed us. very peaceful place to stay large Ensuite with shower cubicle local pub The fox and hounds was tremendous value for quality food highly recommended room was warm and cosy lovely long views from bedroom large flat screen tv. nice crisp quality bed linen

Really rough road leading to farm full of potholes but fine if you are aware and take care pleased it was daylight tho no complimentary teas or biscuits in room just teabags and coffee and fresh milk not seen that in 40 years staying in B and Bs, still not a huge problem as partner brought her own redbush teabags no shelves in shower cubicle difficult for elderly and less mobile having shampoo on floor etc again we were ok with it

We visited this lovely little B&B spontaneously prior to a day looking round Hemswell Antiques Centres, which we normally do annually and drive up/down in one day. This was the best move we could ever have made. The farm itself is in a very quiet little village so there is absolutely no noise whatsoever. We were warmly welcomed by B&B owner Hugh and shown up to our upstairs room which was so cosy and warm. The chintzy decor and little quirks like the commemorative memorabilia and unique wallpaper design really make this place so special. We quickly settled in and made use of the TV and facilities. Milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate powder are also all in the room, though unfortunately the milk was sour, but we were not going to be complaining. The room was so warm to the extent we did have to turn the radiator down but on top of that the bed was so unbelievably comfortable. The following morning we went down to breakfast - the time of which was completely flexible - and Hugh served us up the most beautiful home cooked breakfast with local ingredients. One of the best me and my girlfriend have ever tasted, and the breakfast room is so beautifully and tastefully decorated too. Had a fascinating chat with Hugh too about his experience of being on (and winning!) Channel 4’s Four in a Bed, 3 years ago, which he so rightfully deserved. Without question we will be coming back here.

Milk was sour so couldn’t use that for a tea or coffee but this was a really minor detail.

Hugh was an excellent host. Very chatty with a great sense of humour. Because of the high winds and rain, Hugh moved us from our original first floor room which had an outside stairway, to one of the ground floor converted cow barns. He gave us a small refund in the morning for the change of room, however it was better for safety reasons. Room was quirky, kept toasty with two oil radiators and good WiFi. Had a good night's sleep, breakfast was good and freshly baked homemade bread too. Also some local homemade Jams. Would definitely stay here again.

The shower although hot enough was not that powerful, still did the job.

Exceeded our wildest expectations! I really mean this! It was like having a haven of peace and life totally slowing down. All the staff were so friendly and extremely kind. Hugh who was the patron was so kind and understanding in dealing with my dietary issues, and every day made different things to tempt my appetite. He was so funny and a real joy to stay with, living on an actual working farm was amazing, even though the rooster made sure he gave us all an alarm call, but isn’t that living on a farm!, definitely will return to this wonderful experience, ans we have asssured Hugh that it’s a promise. It a little gem of paradise. The animals were great, sheep, horses dogs, several chickens and a couple of roosters. Please do you self an amazing visit to the wonderful property. Daily breakfast was included in the price which to be honest was very reasonable and Hugh bakes fresh bread every day and very kindly gave us some to bring home, it is amazing.. treat yourself and discover the county the best way possible.

Nothing at all, it was perfect!!

We were at Brampton Dales to compete at Blyton Park race circuit. Hugh was extremely accommodating with an early cooked breakfast, which was bountiful and of very high quality. The location was close enough to the track (although closer is always better of course!) and we both really liked the fact that the B&B had the owner's character throughout; it's not some nondescript bland place to stay.

One of the rooms we stayed in suffered from excess noise from guests above in my opinion - I know you can't do anything about how guests behave but the insulation seemed lacking, the other room was absolutely superb though.

This time out of the City, into the country. A very warm welcome, though we were early. No problem to change room to groundfloor to avond stairs. Lovely room on the Farm (chicks, roosters, sheep, horses all there) Most certainly the best highlight is Hugh's breakfast. Cooked to perfection and ... freshly baked, wonderful asty bread. And: full English is FULL English. Good company, easy going and lots of humor. If schedule fits we will surely book again. Thanks Marian & Hugh!

Nothing.

A great weekend stay @ Brampton Dale's Farm. Greated by Hugh on arrival, shown around the land, looking in on the horses & ponies, along with Ronnie & Reggie, the resident sheep, the free range chickens & 4 jack russels. Room was clean, comfy & had all the essentials. Morning breakfast was excellent, Hugh puts on a great spread & he had badgered his wife to help out on mothering Sunday. Both are chatty & suggested where to eat locally, on an evening. We shall visit again soon.

Warm and friendly staff. Hugh is a fabulous host. Nothing is too much trouble. Quaint rooms in a rural location. Warm and cosy. Spotlessly clean throughout. Breakfast was the stuff of dreams. Delicious, quality food, home made bread, jams and marmalade. I felt totally spoiled. The farm animals are welcoming too, even the sheep knock on the breakfast room to greet you. I’ve stayed here twice now and already planning my third stay. I can’t wait to return.
