Location is absolutely fantastic and parking up was great even if you didn't get an allocated spot there's a pay and display right next door

Nothing to do with the room but on arrival you had to go to a pub next door to collect our keys which wasn't a problem either but we had to write our bank card details on little piece of paper and wasn't sure whether it was put in a safe place and destroyed after our stay. Other than that all went smoothly And staff was great

Liked it was near the town,shops and the park we stayed for 3 nights and did not have to move the car. The staff was very friendly, the housekeeper was brilliant and went above and beyond.

Place could do with a bit of TLC. The first night was a bit of a nightmare with the lights coming into the room from outside and the noise from the cellar (well, that's where I think it's coming from). The other nights were fine, got used to the noise, and the lights. The shower was rubbish and had to hold it in the end. It also could do with a mat as the bath was very slippy. Had trouble with the tv, but the housekeeper was there to sort it out for us. Would come back as it was value for money.

Good value for money. The room was spacious and clean. There was even an ironing board and 2 small chairs and a table inside the wardrobe. There was also a fridge in the room. The bed was lovely and comfy. There is parking available for 10 of the rooms - we have stayed here 3 times and always managed to park on site. Rooms at the Inn is central and close by are lots of pubs and restaurants. Kings Park is also close by with the River and canal running through it. Lots of lovely walks.

Depending what room you have, there is some noise from the pub below but it isn't a problem.

We stayed one night as we were attending a wedding reception in Retford. We arrived too early, but the lovely chap behind the bar checked us in straight away. The room was spotless and comfortable and so handy for the town. We highly recommend it. Would stay again if we were in the area. It's also a really nice market town with plenty of lovely bars and eating places. 😊

There was nothing to dislike. It was perfect. The parking outside was very handy. We nabbed the best spot. If there had been no parking, there is plenty in the nearby car parks.

Clean, modern rooms. Bar staff very friendly and helpful on arrival. Good location to walk into town and excellent value for money.

Was asked by a member of the bar staff to write credit card details on a piece of paper to leave at the bar in the event of any damages Was offered alternative of £25 refundable on check out once the room had been checked. (I had read this on the reviews though so knew what to expect) Check out was by 10.30 but pub doesn’t open until 12 to get refund, but we were lucky to catch someone opening up. We booked 3 rooms and 2 of them had dirty coffee cups, the bathroom door didn’t open from the inside in one of the rooms.

Fab hotel in a perfect location….and a great pub too!. I stay here fairly regularly. Staff are great.

ROOM 0. I keep being given this room even though always book a larger deluxe room. This room is too small, the bathroom configuration is wrong so having a shower without knocking the door open & flooding the room is nigh on impossible. The bathroom door doesn’t open without banging on the corner of the TV, which is in the wrong place. 10.30 check out is a little too early.

We were a group of friends staying in Retford for a wedding. Rooms at the Inn was in a very handy location. Between us, we had booked 4 rooms of varying size. My husband and I had a small double and it was small but the bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom was very clean and even a fridge in each room. Really good value for money.

No complaints but just to advise, the rooms look out over a pub so it was quite noisy until 1am with people sitting outside.

Bit noisy being above a pub on a Saturday night, also has a fire station across the road. It was a very clammy night and the little the fan in the room was making a spectacular amount of noise for very little cool air. That being said it was convenient for visiting a family member close by and we'd probably use it again but take a fan with us next time, if the weather was hot.

Clean and comfortable room - we opted for the cheapest, good value for money, and perfect for one or two nights, probably want one of the larger ones if staying longer. Unstaffed, so pick up for keys is from pub next door . Very central for the town - shops and eating places within 10 minutes walk, lovely park nearby and the canal opposite (as is the small theatre)

My only negative comment would be the french windows (railings outside, no balcony) - as you're on first floor and the only window coverings are the roman blinds, I did feel a little "on show" to passers by when the light was on - and as it was teeming with rain for our stay, we needed it on to read etc. Didn't really want to pull the blinds mid afternoon. Possibly some nets/voile curtains would be good?

The location is great. The pub next door, where you collect your keys from, has a great selection and the staff are very friendly. Just to note, they do not do food. There is an Aldi literally over the road, so if you need anything, it's on the doorstep. Loved the fridge in the room. We removed the shelf and could fit a lot more in, so we had a couple of cheeky drinks in the room. There are lots of places to eat in Retford.
