Initially, I wasn't expecting much since this was the cheapest stay in the area, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The owners went above and beyond with their service. I arrived on my motorcycle and was concerned about parking. When I mentioned this to the owner, he kindly allowed me to park the motorcycle in the garage/function room. I also didn’t expect much from the breakfast, but it turned out to be more than enough to get me going for the day, which was great! Overall, great value for money, and I would definitely stay again.

Hi the location was perfect, and Sai the owner let me park on the front of the hotel, he was very friendly, helpful and very nice to deal with, nothing was too much trouble, very good value for money, the rooms have tea coffee facilities and an empty mini fridge which was fine as you could chill your own suppies,due the location there was so much choice for breakfast for us that was no problem at all as breakfast is not an option, the bar very nice good atmosphere and reasonably priced with a nice beer garden all in all fantastic stay and will definitely return.

The hotel is located close to the centre and opposite a nice park. Several restaurants including Wetherspoons are within easy walking distance from the hotel. Free parking is available close by between 16:00 and 10:00. The room was nice and quiet and had a large bed and very smart and effective shower.

The hotel is not well signed so it was hard to find when we arrived in the dark. The room was spacious but cluttered up with unnecessary furniture making it difficult to walk past the king size bed. It also had a plethora of bedside lights which are not necessary. Breakfast was continental provided free of charge but was a bit limited in its selections.

Loved this old police stations situated opposite the park in this photo. The manager/owner helped us with our bags and shifted us down stairs as I was on crutches. Not only did he do this but he gave us access to a covered cat park. The dinning room was out of use due to up grades intended but he supplied a continental breakfast which was absolutely. fine. He’s not always at reception but there’s a ph number to call and he’s there promptly.

Nothing really at all. It’s definitely a tired old building and needs upgrading but it served us with a comfortable night on to our next 3 days stop. It seemed that he did everything himself so hats off to him for making us feel welcome.

The place just renovated nice rooms, huge TV decent Internet. Private beer garden at back to break.out into. The bar and restaurant were not opening until Saturday when I stayed. All looked modern decor. It was good to see the old police cell detail kept in the theme.

There was a limited continual breakfast aviaible. But the kitchen was opening on the following Saturday.

Very well equipped and beautifully furnished room, with armchair and comfortable double bed. Interesting park with formal and informal gardens opposite. This hotel is well worth using if you are looking to visit a bigger town in the region and prefer to stay a short drive away.. it is housed ina former police station which has been very well adapted.. Good price compared with chains.

No evening meal as unfortunately the restaurant has closed, presumably due to lack of outside custom. However, we found an excellent modern restaurant and tapas bar inthe town square nearby. Thinly staffed so in some respects had more of an airbnb feel about it.

Great location next to town centre. Opposite park. The staff were exceptional. Really couldn't do enough for you, made me very comfortable and relaxed. Good offers on drinks. The rooms very well laid out and large comfortable bed. Absolutely recommend this hotel. As a seasoned traveler one of the best stays I've had, actually extended stay extra couple of nights. Will definitely be returning on my next visit in the area. Excellent value for money.

The hotel was in a good central location, with nice decor/furnishings. The outdoor courtyard is lovely too! The staff are exceptional and really couldn’t have been more helpful - nothing was too much trouble. I enjoyed my stay so much, I booked for an additional night and then again to return later in the year.

There is a small car park which was full but the staff very kindly let me put my car in their large garage!!

I was greeted by welcoming and helpful staff. My room was clean, tastefully decorated, spacious, and well equipped - the fridge, and TV with YouTube app, were particularly nice features. The bed was comfortable, and the shower very spacious and easy to operate. As an early riser, I particularly appreciated that breakfast is served from 07:00. Breakfast itself included a range of sweet and savoury offerings, and was generally great considering it was included in the already reasonable room price. The provision of decaffeinated coffee, and a selection of biscuits, in the room was also a welcome bonus.

Very hard to fault this stay. If I had to pick out anything, it would be that the soap provided in the shower didn't make much of a lather - perhaps not a good match to what is presumably hard water.

The evening of my stay was quite warm and, despite having windows open, it was a little stuffy, I think due to there being external walls of other rooms projecting either side of the windows, reducing air flow past the windows. But that's a minor problem which might only be remedied with air conditioning.
