The staff were really friendly and so attentive to my needs. They made me feel welcome and were so positive that it made my experience with the hotel more enjoyable. They even went out of their way to show me key features within the hotel from the key fob to the utilities within the room. The room I was staying in was completely spotless and stacked with coffee and tea which I really enjoyed and you can tell that the staff members take care with the rooms with such delicacy and attention to detail I’m surprised this hasn’t been rated higher. The room had everything I needed and the location of the hotel made it that more convenient to access shops. All in all would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Gainsborough.

One thing I would like to put out would be the internet access within the hotel. The range of the internet seems to fall off quite quick and was hard to access in my room so I had to switch to my personal internet.

loved the location central to Gainsborough town centre and to my parents who we was visiting . friendly atmosphere of the staff . the hotel is in middle of revamping . we feel when finished will be amazing once restaurant and bar is open .we would definitely stay there again when we visit my parents which is quite frequently. as the building is 200 hundred yrs old and a listed building its nice to see original features etc .

On arrival I was acknowledged and checked in promptly. The housekeeper/assistant whose name escapes me, was friendly and happy and without fuss showed me to my room and kindly organised a fan for me for the night. The room appeared to be newly decorated and was clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable too. There is a kettle in the room with tea, coffee etc. towels and a good powerful shower. All in all I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. I would use Gainsborough Hotel again.

The rooms were ready early and reception was warm and helpful by the managers. There is a secure car park which was slightly awkward to get to due to one way and pedestrian streets but they were good enough to guide us around to it. The en suite bathroom was very impressive in my room with constant hot water available.

There is no breakfast provision but cafes and a local Wetherspoons establishment is in walking distance

Lovely staff, have stayed here on three occasions now due to visiting a friend who lives nearby. Have stayed in room 4 twice and room 13 once. Room 4 is perfect, the TV has freeview and on demand so I was able to log into my Channel 5 account and watch tv programmes on there as well as the freeview channels too. Stayed for two nights and room was cleaned each day and tea/coffee was refilled too. Beds are really comfy and the plugs and light switches are in the headboard in room 4 so you can easily charge your phone and turn the lights off without having to get up out of bed.

I'd advise against getting the single room if you can help it, it really is worth the additional money to get a double room. The single room felt a little bit claustrophobic as it was so small, and was absolutely boiling too due to it being on the top floor. The TV in there doesn't have the on demand feature, which isn't a problem as such but as I'd stayed previously and had it in another room, I did miss not having it in this room.

Clean, tidy, smelt great and the rooms were so cosy and comfortable. It was located brilliantly and the building was safe and secure with key fob entry. The staff were super helpful at all times and the locked car park put us at ease! I also loved the bathroom too, especially the bath tub - so relaxing!

They were very accommodating about our very late check-in, and welcoming. The place is very central and clean.

It is clearly going through a refurbishment, so no breakfast or bar currently, but this was reflected in the discounted price, so fair enough. We would certainly go again once completed.

Easy check in, the room was absolutely spotless and really comfortable.

Security to the Hotel, no one can gain access without being a guest at the Gainsborough Hotel.

No window keys to look windows. Since my safety is very important. One corridor had no lighting but the Hotel Manager is already aware of this issue and it will be fixed soon.

It exceeded my expectation. My room is spacious enough with new decorations. I would recommend. The receptionist is an amazing soul, she attended to all my needs. She transferred me to a quieter room. I loved it.
