We loved everything about our stay. We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on a number of previous occasions, but this time we were staying for 8 days for our wedding which was taking place in Hamilton. Every aspect of our experience was excellent! The room was immaculate and so spacious, the free parking and included breakfast are such helpful inclusions in the room rate. All the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful for the full duration of our stay (particularly Ester)! We were given a lovely card congratulating us on our wedding, a bottle of fizz on our wedding day and they even refridgerated our wedding cake in their walk in fridges for the remainder of our stay. We loved it, and felt sorry to leave!
Nothing- we loved it all!

We always stay here when we're in the area visiting family and friends. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are spacious with a seating area and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom has a lovely walk in shower and the towels are large and fluffy. There is a very good choice at breakfast - hot and cold - and is buffet style. The location is ideal - next to shopping centre, a couple of nice restaurants and the chocolate cafe. Strathclyde Park and Chatelherault Country Park are a few minutes by car.

From checking in, to checking out, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious (double bed with sofa), clean, warm and a good selection of lighting options. The bathroom/shower were spotless and modern. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice for all tastes. Although the hotel is situated near a busy roundabout, the outside windows and the inside sliding window offered a great deal of sound proofing. We were never disturbed by the noise of the traffic at all. I would highly recommend this hotel for short or long stays. We stayed for a week and with the regular buses at the bus stop next to the hotel, it was a perfect and economical way for getting around, especially with a 'First bus weekly ticket' that we bought online. The next door super market is opened well into the night and does offer fresh warm food to take away and during the day, their cafe is open.

It was almost in the centre of Hamilton. Easy access though car parking is odd. There’s no private parking attached to the property. So no parking outside the main entrance is possible. A small lay bay is present but it seems it’s used by locals as free parking as there’s no yellow lines. A public car park is opposite over a main road. It’s free for blue badge holders. Adjacent is also a large car park. Access by ramp or 2 flights of stairs. You can register your car to be parked here at hotel reception. If you are disabled and travelling alone then this could be a problem that needs to be addressed? The hotel was warm and very clean as was the room. Excellent staff and very helpful.
Nothing to dislike except parking arrangements. Could be inconvenient if bad weather or heavy luggage?

Large, comfortable and clean room. large and comfortable bed with two zodiacs of pillows - soft and hard. room very well soundproofed - despite the view of a busy roundabout, no traffic noise penetrated the interior. room was cleaned daily. Service at the reception very nice, helpful and professional. Near the hotel there is a shopping center with many shops and restaurants.
Older TV. In the large room there should be a large Smart TV with access to streaming services such as Netflix or Apple TV. Typical English breakfasts were very good, although a bit monotonous during longer stays. I missed a few ingredients in the buffet such as fresh vegetables (e.g. cucumber, tomato, etc.), cheese or cold cuts. And finally, a small thing: I had to reset my room access card at the reception every 2-3 days because it stopped working, but the very nice and smiling ladies at the reception always helped me.

Excellent cooked breakfast every morning. Room is well laid out and headboard lighting an excellent addition. Complementary free drink for my birthday was a lovely gesture and one I have never had from any other hotel at this time of year.
The dry iron in the room, if this could be replaced with a functional steam iron it would be great as one of my birthday gift shirts received a scorch mark on one of the upper sleeves despite correct iron setting which was a little disappointing- I can use this shirt for work purposes albeit under my dust coat so it wont be as noticeable

Fantastic value, considering free breakfast included. Great location just off motorway and close to retail park. Very polite and cheerful staff on check-in. All very clean. Nice and quiet room and decent WiFi.
Great that parking is free but feel like the website should have a little more detail about the parking as there is a pay and display immediately opposite entrance on Keith Street, but this is not the one to use - it is the main Euro car park retail one. Totally subjective but, for me, mattress and pillow were a little firm. However I did sleep well.

My husband liked the long bed. The breakfast was well done for a buffet style and good quality.
Surprised there weren’t any biscuits on the complimentary tray especially at £130 @ night. We couldn’t get the heating to work, so the room was a bit stuffy on waking as we had to shut the window because of the noise. It was a shame there weren’t any pictures or craft work to adorn the walls to soften the effect of the ordinary as we could have been anywhere in the world in any one of the chain hotels.

The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good. Staff were courteous and helpful.
Getting luggage from car to inside of hotel was not an easy process. There were only 2 spaces out in front of the hotel, which were not marked as a loading zone for check-in or check-out purposes, and when I arrived, these spaces were occupied, so I had to drive around to the designated parking area which is part of a shopping center. After checking-in, the same vehicles were still there, and so to avoid carrying luggage up steps from the parking area, I had to drive back around, stop in a no-parking area, unload the bags, then drive back around to the designated parking area. When I checked-out, I had the same problem. At a minimum, it would seem that the hotel should have the 2 spaces out front properly marked as a loading/unloading zone.

Having spent 7 days on the NC500 driving around Scotland I hit a flat tire and was fed up so rather than drive back to Yorkshire, found this place at a cheaper cost than others in the Glasgow area. The two young ladies who greeted me in the night shift were brilliant and very friendly. They also welcome dogs so my Frenchie was more than happy with the large bed having been camping.
I think £25 for a dog to stay is excessive. At the point of booking I chose the hotel for the price, to then be told at reception this fee was due is a bit of a lie. After booking I drive straight to to the hotel, it wasn’t until I went to bed booking.com had sent me a message regarding the additional charge. My small dog has never caused damage and is house trained, a small child is more likely to wet the bed or mark the walls then him. A great stay overall but this charge I feel is not fair.
