Staff were delightful. Our friend was taken ill on last morning and we had to call an ambulance. The hotel were tremendously sympathetic and supportive and were happy for his car to remain in their car park until he was able to collect it. The food, service, ambience, and location were all very good.

Next time I will ask for a downstairs room as the low beams were a hazard and meant also that there was insufficient height for a wardrobe. Also the bathroom mirror was on the opposite wall to the sink which made shaving a little tricky and in the unusually high temperatures the upstairs was the warmest but a good fan was provided. I should say that we were put on the top floor because I asked for a quiet room so the hotel were being accommodating.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was really tasty & high quality Our room was very clean and comfortable & air cooler was a nice touch during a warm.sunny week The location is great as a base to walk in the local area and the views from the breakfast/dining area would be hard to beat anywhere in the Lakes

Struggling a bit here but the sticky benches in the beer garden (caused by the leaves from the trees) a bit annoying (but still a lovely place to have a drink after a walk)

We had a wonderful stay. The bus stops a short walk up the street so we were able to hike and then finish at the Inn. The hotel was gorgeous and the staff were so lovely and accommodating, they even arranged us dinner bookings because they knew we'd need them given how small the village is and shuffled things around so we could sit with our friends who booked separately. Our room was super clean and cosy, with a lovely view out to the mountain, huge bed and a bath! Just the ticket after a day of hiking.

Beautiful location, close to the hike we had planned. The room was large, clean and comfortable with lovely views. The cooked breakfast was delicious and the food at dinner was good too. Very relaxed atmosphere,

There wasn't a TV in the room, only one in a communal guest lounge. We spent most of our time out hiking in the beautiful mountains, but it would have been nice to have access to watch something in our room in the evening after dinner.

Lovely scenic location, cosy room was more spacious than expected. Friendly staff, lovely food. Good outside seating area for drinks in the sun. Bonus packed lunch service.

No TV in room. There is a TV in the residents lounge but didn't like to put it on with other guests there. Evening g food was very good but pricey.

The food and accommodation were very good the location was senic and a good getaway from everyday hustle and bustle. The staff couldn't do enough for you Phoebe and Chelsea were good working in the dining room and bar and the lovely ladies who cooked and served our breakfast were excellent.

The road to the Inn is very challenging but worth it. And phone reception is none existent but maybe that's a bonus for a relaxing holiday 😀

Location, staff and food were all amazing.

The room was very hot and stuffy due to the beautiful weather but a fan was provided. On the last day we had no water in our room due to the weather conditions and water supply being very low. Staff provided jugs of water but we had no shower.

The location of the Langstrath is just stunning. The rooms (we were 2 couples walking the Cumbria Way) were the best we stayed in the whole walk. Lovely not to to have a telly in the room and certainly didn't miss it. The food and beers were excellent.

There's nothing I would suggest changing at The Langstrath.

Beautiful place to stay after doing a long day’s walk on the C2C. Facilities for washing and drying. Bath for soothing aching joints! Excellent and delicious meals!

If you’re not used to brown water can be a bit of a surprise but were assured all filtered etc and we had no problems whatsoever.

Really friendly helpful staff from manager down. Great food, ales and wines. The rooms appeared to have been very recently refurbished so everything was spotless. I liked the policy of no dogs upstairs or in the dining room, though they were welcome elsewhere and provision was made for guests staying with dogs. Location at the head of the valley made the hotel very peaceful. Already planning our next stay here.

Not much to improve on really. A usb charge point would have been useful in the bedrooms (but only because I forgot my USB plug top) Also a Nespresso or similar machine would have been much better than instant coffee sachets. But I'm nit picking.
