A Perfect Stay at The Steam Packet - Highly Recommended! I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Steam Packet in Littlehampton It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hosts truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast that was not only filling but also thoughtfully prepared. The variety and quality of the food were top-notch, and the atmosphere was made even better by the great music playing in the background. It was the perfect way to start our day! What really stood out was the warmth and friendliness of the hosts. They made us feel right at home, always ensuring we had everything we needed. I can't recommend The Steam Packet highly enough. We'll definitely be returning!

This is our 3rd stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast. We instantly feel rested and sleep so well in the comfortable beds. The steam packet is spotlessly clean. Everything is perfect. The room is so well equipped including a kitchen area, and sitting area with an awesome view of the estuary and river. The sea air and the breakfast make it a wonderful place to visit. We chose to have a full English breakfast and it was delicious. Mark and Arleta work tirelessly to keep everything perfect. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to come back x

The location is excellent for the train station and the local shops, 5 min walk. Room had everything you could want and it was lovely, clean and tidy.

The bed in room 1 was bad on one side of the mattress it has sunk so sleeping on the right side only, luckily I was alone! I was offered z full cooked breakfast, but only wanted cereal and toast. I was only offered museli the whole stay, no other choice of cereal offered. Was not asked if I preferred white or brown toast, it was always seeded bread used. The owners were very accommodating but over asked if everything was OK. As soon as I started on my museli my toast was brought out, it's too quick, so cold toast always!.

We received a warm welcome from Mark and were shown to a large ensuite bedroom with veiws of both the river and the garden.The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The shower in the ensuite worked well. Breakfast in the morning was in the pleasant dining room overlooking the boatyard. The breakfasts we had were delicious and perfectly cooked. There are lots of great walks from the hotel and the town centre has quite a few good shops and restaurants. Overall, we had a very enjoyable weekend and would like to return sometime. Thank you.

We liked everything.

The business is person-centred, so that there are little touches which made me very appreciative of the hosts. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfast cooked to order; Mark managed to deliver crispy BACK bacon which I seldom achieve!!!

Whilst the site is clear about when the bar and evening meals are available, I would've welcomed the opportunity to have a couple of pints on the nights I was there. There is a pub within 20 yds but I'd rather the money had gone to Mark and his partner.

Mark and Arleta were wonderful hosts, welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was very pretty and faced towards the river, so no traffic noise. Our stay at The Steam Packet and meeting Mike and Arleta was one of the highlights of our trip to the UK.

It was no problem for us, it added to the atmosphere. However, guests looking for a quiet stay should keep in mind that they're staying in a pub and the noise from the bar can be heard in the room.

Superb location with beautiful views over the River Arun. Hosts Mark and Arleta extremely friendly and helpful. Room spotless with fantastic facilities. Bed very comfortable with high quality cotton linen. Lots of little touches which are appreciated from the plentiful and high quality handwash, shower gel and handcream to the well stocked kitchen. Breakfast was fantastic, cooked to perfection and I so appreciated you accommodating my coeliac needs. The beautiful table display and flowers were so nice and inviting and the coffee was just divine. Mark was so wonderful each day offering his insight to the area and the history of Littlehampton. They are a wonderful couple with a real gem, one we intend to visit again and tell all the family about too.

Not one thing. We could have done with more time so we could have stayed a day longer to have Marks roast! But now we have an excuse to come back. If the breakfast is a glimpse at the food on offer in the evening/Sunday Roast this is a la carte indeed.

Facilities in the room were exceptional with a cooker, microwave, fridge as well as crockery, cutlery, teapot and large kettle. Room was very quiet as it faced the river. Did not notice the passing electric trains, of which there were many. Very friendly hosts and proper cooked breakfasts.

The owners of this character B&B were so welcoming and cooked tasty english breakfasts to order. There was a kitchen in the room which was great for preparing a simple meal as we didn't eat out every night. Has a fridge. Great location with pubs nearby. Short walk to centre. Right next to river walk, you can get to the beach along the riverwalk. Parking was on property and free.

Pub is only open on the weekends, but the upside is that it's very quiet in the evening.

Location, distance to town, beach and getting to other places. Room had a kitchenette so you didn’t have to rely on takeout or restaurants and could enjoy a chill evening in. Owners are marvellous, could so easily chat away the hours, wonderful people. Really went above expectation to make us welcome and serve excellent breakfast. Proper milk in the fridge for tea.

The shower didn’t drain away and I forgot to mention it, I’m sure it would have been sorted had I done so.
