I’ll outline the most important points: the hotel is newly built, the beds are comfortable, and the location is good — though keep in mind that it’s not central. If all your meetings and activities are in the city center, it’s about a 50-minute walk or a 30–40-minute taxi ride. The hotel has a partnership with a well-equipped gym, which is great if you want to maintain your fitness routine. If you enjoy jogging, the nearby canal area is a wonderful spot for it and very close to the hotel. The staff were very helpful and professional.

The only downside was the breakfast — it could be better and felt a bit overpriced. Fortunately, there are many nice breakfast spots in the neighborhood

Bathroom in room was a bit messy (pulled wad of hair from drain & floor was sticky). Bar had loads of fruit flys had to cover my drink to keep the flys out. Location seemed a bit rough. Maybe not terribly safe at night.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the level of service and professionalism at this hotel. After a long and exhausting day of travel, being greeted by such friendly and attentive staff was a true relief. What really stood out was how accommodating they were in arranging an early check-in for me. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and every staff member I encountered was courteous, efficient, and eager to help. It’s clear that customer service is a priority here, and it genuinely shows in how they treat their guests. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed — everything I needed to relax and recharge. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is inviting, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed, which made my stay even more enjoyable. This experience left such a positive impression on me that I won’t hesitate to return. In fact, I’ve decided this will be my go-to hotel for any future visits to the area. Highly recommended for anyone who values excellent service, comfort, and a team that truly goes the extra mile.

I stayed at Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell with my 10-year-old son for one night, from June 21st to June 22nd, 2025, and we were absolutely delighted with our stay. The hotel is brand new, and it really shows — the lobby is spacious and beautifully decorated, with a large chess set and books for relaxing. There are also cozy spots to work or plug in your laptop. The elevators are big and easily accessible, and our room, which overlooked the street, was incredibly well soundproofed. The room itself was very large, which was a real plus — especially as I’ve had experiences in other hotels with tiny rooms in London. Here we had plenty of space to move around, a spacious shower, and everything was spotless. Our twin beds were extremely comfy. The TV was huge and very easy to “cast,” so we could stream our own content. A coffee machine, kettle, and a complimentary bottle of water were also provided. Finally, the breakfast was simply wonderful! José and his team took great care of us. The buffet offered a great selection, as well as hot dishes cooked to order — we had the eggs, which were perfectly prepared. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from two Underground stations, and the neighborhood is nice and quiet over the weekend. Overall, an excellent hotel that I highly recommend for anyone visiting London.

Nothing. Perhaps to say something, AC when we arrived in the room was too low (20°) compared to the 31° outside that weekend. But at least we were sure it was working.

Brand new hotel and very well designed throughout. Lots of communal spaces to enjoy, from a bar and pub to the extensive lobby area. The room was nicely appointed and had everything we needed for our one night stay. Beds were very comfortable and air con worked perfectly which was a relief as it was mid-heatwave in London. Rooms let in a fair bit of light in the mornings but that was about the only negative from the hotel side. I’d definitely stay and again and would highly recommend.

Kitchen closed earlier than the advertised 22:00. We had mains and finished around 20:30, my son wanted dessert but the bar man said chef had already gone home. They also added service charge when we ordered the majority of our order at the bar. This was in the pub bit so may have a different team to the hotel.

The room was very comfy and clean. The facilities were good and it was a pleasant stay.

The hotel clearly has had some kind of issue with guests not paying and that has turned into some strange collective trauma. All staff seemed uneasy about payment, I was phoned to come to reception at 10pm to pay for my room service. I paid in the morning, but it was a shame the communication on the topic was so poor, it was a minor issue, it's a great hotel.

Nice hotel for a short trip to London and would stay again. Really clean, good beds, nice location and cool decor. Breakfast was good too and staff very helpful

Nothing to complain about. The only thing I would mention is that its a new hotel obviously building its reputation and you could sometimes sense a bit of anxiety from the staff in making sure you were happy - too frequently asking you if everything is okay which I found a little bit annoying. But like I say nothing to complain about :-)

Lots of character and history, the interior is stunning and everything is brand new. I am sure I am the first person that ever used the hairdryer in the room where I stayed. Super clean and new. I also got a room upgrade and a free welcome drink, so I really felt treated like a Queen. The adjoining pub was very convenient for a lazy dinner after a long day of working and travelling.

It is quite pricy but you definitely get value for money.

Great brand new property, everything was wonderful. Great facilities, comfortable bed, attentive and friendly staff, and a delicious breakfast. The location was right near Barbican which is a must see for anyone appreciating architecture. Also an easy enjoyable walk down to St. Paul’s, Convent Gardens, the Millenium bridge, the Tate Museum, Nation Theatre and fun riverwalk area.

All was great!

Very clean, the public spaces smelled amazing and the staff were very attentive. Room service food was very good if a little limited in choice.

Minor criticisms that wouldn’t stop me booking again are that the pillows were a little hard and all the coffee in my room was decaf ( I’m sure I could have asked for coffee but was only staying one night and leaving fairly early).
