Location was great, really close to a tube station and a little grocery store. Room was clean, had a mini fridge, and good AC. Food downstairs was good, too, and you got a discount on it.

The shower water pressure was ok and then it suddenly went to a trickle. I couldn’t rinse off completely and had soap on me the next day. The shower head could not be adjusted and you had to stand right on the shower drain.

Location suited our needs, charming decor, hotel found flexibility to place my daughter and me in room with two twin beds, room was ready and we were able to check in early with no questions or charges, free biscuits and chocolate too. Though overtop a pub, noise was not at all an issue, and the street itself quiet. At a 3 minute walk to Farringdon, very easy to get to heathrow directly on Elizabeth line.

I missed during the booking process that we were on 3rd floor no elevator with steep stairs but fortunately the /proprietor/staff hauled our luggage up for us. The place overall was very clean, but the flooring and grout in the bathroom are overdue a deep clean.

The location was perfect for our stay. Walking distance to the Farringdon tube station as well as the Elizabeth line, which was super convenient to take train to/from Heathrow. There are a number of coffee shops around and also enjoyed having the pub below for drinks/dinner. The property was also convenient to walk to St. Paul’s cathedral, Covent Garden and other areas. We arrived early morning, and while our room wasn’t ready, the manager was super friendly and had bags brought up to room while we were out for the day. The room was a good size; bathroom updated and very clean.

Not a negative, as it’s noted in the listing, there only stairs to get up to the rooms. The hotel brought our bags up (which was great). It’s manageable with bags if they aren’t huge. There is some street noise but nothing that would be a deterrent as we expected some.

The location and the young lady who met us on arrival was nice and friendly. Our Room was kept clean and fresh towels daily.

The stairs (although they did warn you there wasn’t a lift) and being put on the top floor 🥵, but that was our fault for being so unfit 😂. The room was a bit tired looking and could do with a freshen up. Especially the mildew in the tiles in the bathroom. Stayed here 8 years ago and couldn’t fault it then. One of the blinds was broken in the room so it was permanently closed and made the room very dark.

The location is wonderful for where we wanted to be. The staff were fabulous and always happy to help, both in the Hotel area and the bar, can't fault any of them. A credit to the establishment. Decor lovely in all rooms. Our friends had rooms on the 1st floor which were lovely and large and big bathrooms whereas we had the attic room which was much smaller for the same price.

Unfortunately as women nearing 70 our room was on the 3rd floor (no lifts).so 6 flights of stairs!!! Also the walls appeared to be very thin and we could hear next door sneezing/having a shower/switching lights on and off. Drink facilities in the room we're very good with complimentary snacks chocolate and water. But only 2 breakfast teas with the rest being herbal and the same with the milk (soya) luckily the lady who cleans the rooms was very helpful and we swapped for traditional tea and fresh milk (we were told by the booking in staff we could ask for fresh milk but the thought of going up and down the stairs......) Also our room much smaller than our friends rooms!! We were only there for 1 night so not much of a problem.

I was delighted to find a room here - the quality of many room details was higher than rooms sold by the big brands for much more. The in room coffee making facilities are a stand-out - first time ever the Espresso machine is complemented by a convenient milk foamer! The bar will provide free milk in a small glass bottle. The furnishings are stylish, comfy bed, good shower, decent desk size. And the location is fabulous: Farringdon station is a few minutes away and the upscale Gymbox gym 5 minutes.

The place is quirky. While I didn't mind it, some guests might be bothered by the relatively noisy street - bring ear plugs if you want to sleep before 11pm or after 7am. Climbing up the steep chairs is a great workout but might bother those short of breath. Bathroom and room overall are brightly lit, only the desk would greatly benefit from more light.

Great sized room, exceptionally clean with helpful add ins such as robes, slippers, hairdryer. Very helpful staff. Excellent location - so close to the tube/Lizzie line and great breakfast/dining out options extremely close. Great value for central London.

The bed was really, really firm. I loved it but my husband less so. The pub was shut when we got back in the evening (10.30) which was early but the v helpful staff made sure we had a drink.

The Pub is full of character and all staff were friendly and helpful. Location is a minute or two from Farringdon Tube which makes it accessible to everywhere in London. The room was comfortable and quiet.

We were on the top third floor and thankfully only had carry-on luggage. The stairs are extremely steep and narrow, so it would have been impossible for us to negotiate the stairs with large heavy luggage. Thankfully, the kind staff assisted us.

I stayed here the night before an early fight from Heathrow and I was so happy with the whole experience. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable, the staff were really friendly and helpful. I decided to eat in the pub and the menu and food were also great. The location allowed for an evening walk to some other great pubs, also not far from St Pauls Cathedral, and the river, and the two minute walk to Farringdon station allowed me early and easy access to the airport.

The room was really comfortable and a pleasure to return to after a long day. It was perfectly clean, with a kettle for tea and everything needed to prepare coffee and cappuccino (including a milk frother). Since we were given a room on a higher floor, we had no issues with nighttime noise.

The only negative comment, although it’s very personal, is about the pillows. They lacked shape and support.
