The room was stunning and absolutely comfortable! Huge, too (we had room number 1). Location was excellent for a week of exploring London and surroundings. The One Tun Pub does not have breakfast but there is complementary tea and coffee in the rooms for every morning (and a great, cheap pub next door, for breakfast, too).

The One Tun Pub is a very old building - hence the walls are not especially thick. You can hear people walking in front of your door very well, neighbours above you well. The pub closes at 11 p.m. so noise from the street (or the pub) is not essential. We had gotten used to the noise pollution very quickly but it could be a concern for light sleepers!

great location easy access to both buses and tube. Staff were excellent, sorted a problem with dates of our booking very well. couldn't hear anything from the pub downstairs. hubby was ill and had to spend a day in bed (he has cancer) and there were lots of places I could go to get food for our meals. I felt very safe walking alone in the surrounding area.

our room wasn't cleaned or serviced once during our stay. the pillows are terrible, when you put your head onto them they go as flat as a pancake, hubby and I had to use the cushions underneath the pillows to get any support. it's a pity the pub doesn't offer breakfast but there is a wetherspoons just across the road.

The staff was wonderful at the One Tun - warm, friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, bright and comfortable and the air-con worked well - think goodness since London was experiencing a heat wave when we were there. The location worked out well as the Farringdon tube station was just a couple minute walk away. The food and drink in the pub were excellent as well. I would stay there again and happily recommend the One Tun to anyone traveling to London.

The only negative was the very loud sound of bottles/trash being dumped at various times in the early mornings. But that's managable with earplugs or headphones.

The location was perfect for our stay. Walking distance to the Farringdon tube station as well as the Elizabeth line, which was super convenient to take train to/from Heathrow. There are a number of coffee shops around and also enjoyed having the pub below for drinks/dinner. The property was also convenient to walk to St. Paul’s cathedral, Covent Garden and other areas. We arrived early morning, and while our room wasn’t ready, the manager was super friendly and had bags brought up to room while we were out for the day. The room was a good size; bathroom updated and very clean.

Not a negative, as it’s noted in the listing, there only stairs to get up to the rooms. The hotel brought our bags up (which was great). It’s manageable with bags if they aren’t huge. There is some street noise but nothing that would be a deterrent as we expected some.

We really liked our stay in The One Tun Pub! The location was excellent, lots of restaurants and cafés and grocery stores nearby. Big plus for us was that Farringdon station was just 5 minute walk with connections straight to both Gatwick and Heathrow and of course tube lines around the city. The neighborhood felt lively but not too busy. Our room was cosy, well equipped (coffee maker, kettle and even milk froth maker, ironing board, safety box) and very clean and we appreciated the complimentary water bottles stocked up every day. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Location suited our needs, charming decor, hotel found flexibility to place my daughter and me in room with two twin beds, room was ready and we were able to check in early with no questions or charges, free biscuits and chocolate too. Though overtop a pub, noise was not at all an issue, and the street itself quiet. At a 3 minute walk to Farringdon, very easy to get to heathrow directly on Elizabeth line.

I missed during the booking process that we were on 3rd floor no elevator with steep stairs but fortunately the /proprietor/staff hauled our luggage up for us. The place overall was very clean, but the flooring and grout in the bathroom are overdue a deep clean.

Location was great, really close to a tube station and a little grocery store. Room was clean, had a mini fridge, and good AC. Food downstairs was good, too, and you got a discount on it.

The shower water pressure was ok and then it suddenly went to a trickle. I couldn’t rinse off completely and had soap on me the next day. The shower head could not be adjusted and you had to stand right on the shower drain.

Room 3 was a great room. Clean, comfy, included a mini-frig. Staff were excellent. Carried bags for us both up and down fairly steep stairs, keot our suitcases for 2 days while we did an overnight trek. Very accomodating. Location was super...close to.Leather St and Smithfieild Markets, 50 meters from tube including Elizabeth Line for easy Heathow access as well as train line direct to Gatwick.

Our first night in Room 5 was a bit worn and overall the room was fairly expensive, typical cost for London however.

Fantastic location for exploring London. Easy to get to from Heathrow (Direct on the elizabethtown line). Easy to get around to all the sights via the Tube (Take the Circle Line). Easy walk to the British Museum. Only complaint was there was a lot of noise from the street on Friday night and the steep stairs to our room on the 5th floor. However, we knew this was expected given the location and older building, and we were warned about the stairs. We would absolutely stay here again!

I loved the beautiful room (with air-conditioning!) and the friendly staff. The pub was great with excellent food. It had loads of character and was very comfortable.

Though it was close to the station, which was very convenient! It was a bit of a walk to all the attractions. As a solo traveler, coming up the alley at night—although I was safe and had no incident at all—was a little disconcerting. As is the norm, narrow staircase encourages one to travel light!
