Hotel room very comfortable location of hotel was good

Having paid for a breakfast this was only continental, had to pay extra for an English breakfast, considering the initial I thought the extra cost was excessive.

Location of the hotel is excellent with some amazing restaurants/cafes all within a 5 minute walk. We booked a family room that was located on the 3rd floor and it provided everything we needed for a family of 4.

It was possibly the hottest weekend of the year. 1 fan had been provided in the room but this wasn't enough to circulate enough air around the whole room so we were constantly sweating. We kept the curtains closed and the fan on all weekend but it didn't really cool down. It's perhaps our fault for not asking for additional fans. It felt warmer in our room than anywhere else this weekend.

The location was perfect and the view from our room looked over a gorgeous quiet courtyard. Despite how central we were the road was very quiet. The room was big and clean - decor is a little dated but we quite liked the charm of this. We had everything we needed - 2 fans already in the room, a hairdryer and a little kitchenette with a sink, a microwave and a fridge! Would definitely stay here again and imagine it would be so lovely in the winter.

The bed was a little hard for my taste but this is me nitpicking.

Amazing location, at the heart of Bloomsbury, steps from the British museum, cafes, restaurants, subway station. Quiet room - facing into a small garden. Completely quiet at the heart of London Kettle, tea and coffee in room, small fridge and microwave oven Friendly and helpful staff

The bathtub was a little too high and might be inaccessible for people with limited mobility

Our booked room was not available due to maintenance. The lady at reception did everything she could to ensure we got a similar room in another Grange hotel (the Buckingham). Because of the inconvenience, we even got free breakfast. As we have come to expect from Grange hotels, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Coffee, tea and water was replenished every single day. Staff were very polite and helpful in both hotels. Breakfast was well prepared.

Location perfect for us Room was a great size for a city hotel- a very pleasant surprise Also to our surprise there was a little kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. Bed was very comfortable Staff were very courteous and available when needed but not overbearing

The fridge was not working but when we reported it to reception on day 2 of our stay ,it was immediately attended to We had to request toilet paper on our last day as housekeeping had not replaced it in the morning

I have stayed on a number of occasions at the Grange range on Bedford Place and have never been disappointed with the Portland being no exception. I find the location is well placed for the West End attractions, British Museum, and theatres as examples. On all my visits, I have found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The room is clean with no complaint to be had. All in all, I find it to be of good value for the money. I will stay again on my next visit.

Great location for British Museum, theatres, Underground, Oxford Street, and some nice pubs. Very large room with comfortable bed. Nice little kitchenette. The room was on the street side of the hotel but we had no problem with traffic noise. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We did have to check in and out at a sister hotel just down the street, but that was no problem. Didn't order breakfast, so can't comment on that.

The decor looked a bit well-used and tired, but that wasn't a concern. We had a good stay.

Nice location, the hotel is located in a traditional Bloomsbury house, lovely atmosphere. Near to underground stations, very convenient for visiting London. Friendly and helpful staff.

Traditional means also, altough clean and well maintainad, that the room is cold. The breakfast is not worth the money, you have to walk anyway, and you get cheaper and better breakfast arund Russel square.

Great size room, lots of natural light and a very comfy bed, Check in was very simple, room was clean, would have loved AC (For the few days of hot weather we get) but they supplied a couple of fans in the room which was ok

Breakfast, and attitude of the serving staff at breakfast, We were told that tea had finished but only 9.30 on a Saturday, so gave us a hot water pot, But nothing else, kept having to go back and ask for tea bags, milk, spoons, We felt very rushed as soon as we sat down and that we were being a pain for asking
