I recently stayed at House of Toby in London, and it was a nice experience overall. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and room were clean, which made for a pleasant environment. The staff were very helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with anything I needed. They even accommodated a late check-in due to my international flight, which I really appreciated. The location is also great, being near King’s Cross Station, making it easy to get around and explore London.

One thing to note is that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, and my room was on the top floor. This made it a bit inconvenient to carry myself and my shopping bags up the stairs, especially after a long day of sightseeing. While it wasn’t a dealbreaker, it’s worth considering if you have mobility issues.

Close to St Pancras station and quite room. Air conditioning in room was a godsend.

Hotel in process of refurb and bedroom room walls were marked, needs painting. Rooms look to be potentially the last things to refurb. Room number 306.

How close they were at all times and always willing to help. I was alone and stayed 6 nights, the first night I was scared but then when I get to know the hotel I felt safe. They have 24/7 desk receptionist with also 24/7 security cameras so it is nice to know they are attentive. The beds are very comfortable after walking all day needed a good rest and was perfect. There are a lot of food places near, and one of the biggest stations at 6 minutes walking. Finally, I was able to leave my luggage until 7 p.m. which was nice to go see a few more places. I do not have any photos but I can asure it looks as in their pictures.

I was upgraded from a deluxe single to a deluxe double which was nice. The room was relatively small but perfectly manageable. It was extremely well furnished and decorated and perfectly clean. Similarly, the shower room was small but more than adequate from my needs. The shower was great with plentiful hot water. There was also very efficient air-conditioning whch was a great bonus in the few days I was there as temperatures were very high. The staff that I met were really great - always welcoming and friendly, and very helpful. I was able to leave my luggage there, both before checking in and again at the end of my stay before I went back to the train station. which was only a short walk away. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in London.

A noisy family in the next room, coming in very late one night with argumentative children but that was no fault of the hotel

First off, the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. I've read some reviews where others found the staff ... otherwise ... but our experience was great. Lots of stairs to get to the room, but the staff eagerly helped us with the luggage. Also, most folks need only negotiate the stairs twice daily. Given the location and excellent nightly rate, the room was spacious and very clean. There was plenty of space to move around the room. The shower was spacious for a budget London room. I'd definitely stay here again.

The only downside I recall was that 2 of 3 wall outlets were badly worn and the plug just fell out. The same plug worked great in the 3rd outlet - thankfully.

An excellent stay in this little gem just a short away from King's Cross St Pancras. Easy to find- warm welcome from the lovely gentleman at the front desk. The room was small but very cosy- the bathroom was standard size with one of the best showers I've ever seen in a hotel. Plenty of teas and coffees, very comfortable bed. I stayed during the week and it was very quiet. I didn't get to try the breakfast but passed the buffet on my way to work in the morning and it looked amazing. I would very seriously consider staying there for leisure in the future, as it ticked all the boxes for me.

More of a heads up for anyone with mobility issues or heavy luggage, there is no lift and the stairs are steep. Good free workout though- who needs the gym?

The staff where excellent, polite, helpful, and attentive, the hairdryer in the room was broken and within a short time we had a replacement and a letter of apology. The beds where comfortable. Breakfast was continental and a good choice and unlimited, there was no issue to have takeaway's in for an evening meal in their breakfast area they even provided cutlery.

Room was not ready, as we were settling into our room house keeping came to clean, should have been ready, there was less than minimal space between the walls and the beds quite difficult to move round and enter the beds. there was a slight smell of stagnant water from the bathroom, not overpowering but not pleasant the pop up sink plug kept jamming shut difficult to release water. But all said we would stay again. 27/32

This small hotel is inserted in the very busy area of London at a perfect location. We chose it because we wanted to travel back to the continent with the Eurostar and the St Pancras station was just an arm's reach away. If you need to be close to the underground or to the two biggest stations of the city, this is a perfect choice. The staff is highly professional and friendly, we really got a good feeling staying there. Also worth noting that the room was very tidy and everything was clean.

We knew that the room was going to be small but the bathroom was really tight and lacked the storage place for even the basics. We are not very large people, so we managed, but this needs to be noted as it can effect the comfort. The chair in our room was broken, which we reported, but it seemed odd that it was not notified during the routine cleanings.

Top floor room 307, Had a double and single, Did get a bit hot but A/C was good, Also very quiet so can get a good nights sleep, Rooms are not very big but ideal for a couple of nights, Staff were very good even offered to store bags after check out which wasnt needed but thankful for the offer, only thing which wasn't big issue that you are only provided with one card for the bedroom... Good location literally 8 mins walk from Kings Cross train station and plenty of good places and bars and cafes all within walking distance. Did not have food or drinks, so I can't comment on that....

Just the one card for the room but it wasn't really an issue...

Very reasonably priced and in a good location to Holborn and London Euston and St Pancreas stations. Room was clean and bathroom was very clean which was my priority. The room was small and it only had one tiny window at the top, but that's kind of what I was expecting for a hotel for a work trip. The staff were very nice and helpful. PErfect for a work trip where you just need a comfortable bed, clean bathroom and good location.

No window really, it has one small milk-glass type round window high up one one of the walls of the room which let some light in when I woke up (enough to light up the room) but besides that the room was just a bed, desk and a bathroom.
