The location was very convenient although a bit loud due to proximity to the train stations, and a general nearby nightlife, but I felt relatively safe outside nonetheless. The park across the street was beautiful in the daylight. The room itself was clean and tidy and had everything necessary for the night. The shower could even get pretty hot, which is hard to find these days!

The park across the street was very sketchy when out after dark - I can almost promise you that I witnessed a drug deal when walking to the hotel after dinner. The stairs to the rooms were also very steep and tight, so not great for lots of luggage. Overall the rooms felt safe and comfortable though!

The shower was a little cramped, but the shower head was incredibly adjustable for such a small space. The location was perfect, with easy access to transport, laundromat and groceries.

There was a lack of hanging space for towels and heavy coats, and there was a intermittent smell of cigarettes through out my stay. The staff took steps to address the smoking issues when raised.

I stayed here for one night whilst on a visit to my son who lives in London; then I caught the Eurostar to Paris the following morning. The location was excellent; Just a very short walk to St Pancras Station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They brought my luggage upstairs to my room for me. The room, although small, was very comfortable and clean.

Nothing really

This was my first stay in this hotel. It was OK, which is far better than some other hotels I have tried in London. The location is perfect,very close to the stations and the tube,but in a quiet street,from where it is nice to walk into Bloomsbury the back streets. As a single traveller I had booked a double room,because the single rooms looked too tight from the pictures. The double room I got was still very tight,but just enough space for one person. The staff were friendly and I was also able to leave my luggage there before checkin time, something many other hotels in the same price category in London do not offer. The room was clean and cool, due to its location in the lower ground floor. That was OK,since the temperatures at the time were very hot. The room service was fine, fresh towels every day.

The double room got on the lower ground floor (L 6) had just about enough space for one person, without luggage. A second person could not get into the bed without stepping over the other. There is no space for any luggage, except on the floor or below the bed. If you put it on the floor, it is impossible or very dangerous to get to the window. Access to the room is down some very narrow steps, the hallway is dingy. There is a tea tray,which I used, but it is cramped and therefore potentially dangerous. The broken lid on the kettle should be fixed,because of the danger of severe burns. Why is it that Hotels in London are so much poorer than hotels in the same price range and comparable location in Paris?

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Nice location close to King’s Cross St Pancras and Kings cross. Lots of stores and restaurants near the stations and property.

The rooms weren’t sound proof. Because I could literally hear everything that the neighbours were doing, talking, walking even taking a wee. I didn’t see a breakfast option at the hotel while booking.

My wife and I have stayed at the Argyle Square Hotel before and were more than happy to use it again this time. It is absolutely ideal for a quick overnight stay in London, being located so close to King's Cross and St Pancras, so giving easy access to trains and the underground, although it's a surprisingly short walk to Covent Garden and the West End too. We knew what to expect in terms of the facilities in our room and were not let down at all. Once again we had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. Our room was clean and tidy, and the hotel itself is located on a pretty quiet street. We had no issues with external noise at night or at a stupidly early hour of the morning either. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, too. We were able to leave our bags prior to checking in, and after checking out. We were always greeted politely, asked how we were and how our day had been, and we were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay. We will happily stay here again in the future.

Not so much something we didn't like, and I don't think there's much the owners can do about these points, just a couple of things to be aware of. Firstly, the bathrooms are pretty small, notably the shower cubicles. Don't expect five-star luxury. That said, the shower system itself was excellent, really powerful with plenty of hot water, far better than showers I've used in more expensive hotels. Also, the rooms don't appear to be particularly soundproofed, so you may get noise from people walking past in the corridors, or the building's water system. We weren't particularly disturbed by this on our visit, the only noise was while we were getting ready so it didn't impact our experience, again it's just one to be aware of that there is a bit of potential if you're unlucky enough.

I've been coming to Argyle Square Hotel for three years and it's always been an excellent experience. The staff are super friendly, and the rooms are very comfortable; clean and modern decor in a traditional terrace building looking out onto one of Bloomsbury's leafy squares. The location is ideal; 5 minutes from King's Cross. I wouldn't change it as my chosen London short stay option.

I recommend asking if there's a room on the upper floors as the basement rooms are a bit too dark during the day for my liking.

Room was freezing, only got warm when u left the key card in, which doesn't help when your out all day + want to come back to a warm room

I was very happy with my stay. The building is old and the room is very small, but extremely clean and equipped with everything I needed; the bathroom is actually very modern, with extra light and defogging built into the mirror, and an adequate size and well functioning heater. The location is excellent, with a less than 5-minute walk to King's Cross / St. Pancras station.

The walls are very thin, and I could hear the person in the next room on the phone. But it didn't really bother me, and she stopped talking before it got too late.

I'm a 73 year old woman, and I must say the staff were amazing - they were extremely helpful, kind and went above and beyond to help me whenever I needed it - leaping to my assistance whenever they saw me carrying heavy bags. I had a lovely view of the park, and the water pressure and temperature in the bathroom were perfect. Location is central and connected to all the tubes, with the British Library across the street with a lot of lovely small restaurants.

The room was small, but when one is so central this is to be expected (unless you're willing to pay extortionate amounts). It was still very much comfortable and I was happy with the week I spent there.
