We've stayed at the Wardonia several times, which shows that we must like it somewhat. I'll be honest, as I've probably said in my last review of the hotel, we use it because (a) it's reasonably priced and (b) it's very convenient for St Pancras and Kings Cross. This last is very important to us, as we basically use the Wardonia as somewhere to leave our bags, use the toilet, and have a sleep and a shower between getting off the coach to London and catching the Eurostar next morning. For this, the place is ideal. Yes, the rooms are small, yes the shower room is compact, but the bed is comfy, the toilet is clean, the towels dry you, the telly works, and it's warm. The staff are welcoming and friendly, rooms are easy to find, and it's five minutes walk in a straight line to St Pancras. There isn't a kitchen or restaurant, but you're in London. There are shops and restaurants and pubs whichever way you turn. If you don't feel like looking too hard, there are loads in St Pancras, and the Brunswick Centre is not far down the road. You probably wouldn't want to spend a lot of your waking time in the room, but again, you're in London. Go to the pictures, or the theatre, or the British Museum, or the Foundling Museum (both just a short walk away), or just go and see the sights. If all you want is a reasonably priced bed for the night while you wait for a train or after a show, the Wardonia is perfectly adequate.
I'll be honest, for our purposes, I couldn't fault the place. If you want a nice luxury suite where you can entertain your friends, you won't get it here, but the Wardonia doesn't really pretend to be anything other than what it is- a cheap bed for the night with an ensuite toilet.

The Wardonia is an ideal hotel for travellers on a bit of a budget but still wanting some little comforts. This is my second time staying here and I would be quite content to stay again. I stayed in a single bed room which, as expected for a city hotel room, is quite compact however, still felt spacious enough to me. Decoration is a little outdated but it's clean, the window opens, and the bathroom is modern. The hotel is located just off Euston Road by King's Cross Station, a ten minute walk from London Euston, and I barely heard any traffic noise. It is well placed for the underground, local amenities and within easy walking distance of several popular locations. It is worth noting for those with accessibility requirements that there is no lift and the stairs are a bit tight for large luggage items. Would recommend contacting the hotel to discuss options. I had a lovely stay at Wardonia and have been recommending it to friends and family.

This property is incredibly close to Kings Cross Station, the Great British Library, several takeaways and a few shops for your food and drink needs. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming upon arrival, and the room we were given was fairly spacious and clean, and even had a door that led to a small outside patio-like area that we could step onto for whatever reason (because none of us vape or smoke, we did not need to use the outside area at all). There were tea and coffee amenities, as well as shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, which is always appreciated. There were also plenty of plug sockets dotted around the room! It was a small joke between myself and the others I travelled with, as usually the places we stay have one plug socket to share between everyone, but there were at least four or five in the room alone that we could all use. I personally found the beds quite comfortable, though I am aware comfort is subjective to the individual in question. We mostly used the place to sleep and relax when we weren't running around watching shows or musicals, but it was pretty decent and close to the station, which is what we wanted. Overall, a decent place to stay for a few days in central London!
The beds were quite small and though the double bed was described as a double, it was probably closer to a 3/4 bed. The single bed also seemed pretty slim. The hairdryer included in the room did not work, and we found that the room itself felt a little damp throughout our stay, so ventilation seems to be a slight issue despite there being a good window and door leading to the outside in the room. The bathroom was also very small, and we found the room got cold pretty quickly in the evenings. The TV also worked, but could not seem to connect to any of the terrestrial channels at all, which was a bit of a bummer, but I had brought my tablet with me, so we watched some shows on that, instead.

Great location, staff were so friendly.
The triple room would have been tight for two but we had to sit on the bed and take turns to step across the room. Also all of the TV channels were patchy at best.

Excellent location right off the St. Pancras/King’s Cross Tube and train stations. Lots of restaurants, bars and small grocery stores in walking distance. Everything was very clean, which is very important! Desk staff was on-site and available 24/7. They even allowed us to check in a bit early, which was a great surprise (don’t expect this but they do allow you to keep your bags there if you do get there well before check in). The rooms are VERY small. Enough space for a bed and very small desk. This is fine for a solo traveler or two people who are comfortable in close quarters. We knew these were small rooms, so we were not surprised or disappointed in the slightest. Bathroom was clean with good shower pressure and lots of hot water.
Nothing! Because we knew exactly what we were getting, we were happy with the hotel.

Close to St Pancras station, ideal for catching early Eurostar. Very friendly, helpful receptionist who carried our cases for us downstairs to our ‘compact’ twin room, which was clean and well equipped for an overnight stay.
On a slightly noisy street, our room which was single sized was very ‘compact’! Being thin we could each fit into the tiny bathroom, which wouldn’t have been possible for a larger person. There was no room for more than 2 narrow single beds, nowhere to open out cases except on the beds. The tv didn’t work.

My room was a single room. It was very tiny but comfortable because everything I might need was there. There was a kettle with plenty of coffee, cream and tea. WI-FI worked very well even on the 3rd floor. The place is silent and the bed extremely comfy. The bathroom is small, but the shower was perfect. The hotel is very close to King's Cross station and there are bars and restaurants all around. I can suggest this hotel to young people and short time travelers. I spent 2 nights there and it was perfect for me.

I've stayed here twice now. Rooms are tiny, a bit dated and basic but I wasn't bothered about that, I only book one night when going to concerts. Having said that, they have the comfiest budget hotel beds I've ever slept in. 2 pillows per bed (a lot of budget hotels only give one), one was memory foam, the other normal. Mattress was decent too.

If all you need is a bed for the night, a toilet and a shower, within very easy reach of Kings Cross or St Pancras Stations, the Wardonia is ideal. Rooms are small, but the hotel is very honest about this when booking, so that isn't a problem. Our room was very clean, with fresh bedding, clean shower and toilet, tea making facilities, and was as quiet as you'd expect a hotel in this location to be. The lack of breakfast and dining facilities, again something the hotel is open about, are not a problem, as there are plenty of options available within a few minutes' walk. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The weather wasn't brilliant, but (i) it was February, and (ii) there was nothing the hotel could have done about it anyway. To be honest, we couldn't fault the hotel. If you have mobility problems you might struggle with the stairs, but again, the Wardonia mentions this themselves.

The room and bathroom are very small. But that's not a problem, since the place was for sleeping, not dancing :) Clean, working Wi-Fi, kettle for instant coffee and tea, which are also available. Daily cleaning and towel change. The room has everything you need, nothing more :)
It was too hot for me in the room, so I turned off the heating. Since the room was on the ground floor and faced the street, I did not try to open the window, but the air would have been nice. A small fridge would have been nice.
