Location is great for Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. It is very close to the new Coal Drops Yard are to the North of Kings cross which is a bit of a new cultural hotspot with many shops and restaurants etc. The tube stations here are accessible and allow you to travel very easily to all parts of London. The views from the hotel were amazing. We could see all the major landmarks in the distance and they were all lit up at night. We were on the 7th floor and there was nothing really blocking our view at this height. The room was fantastic. We opted for a slightly larger room and we're glad we did, there was plenty of room for both of us to not feel too cramped. Special mention to the FOH staff who greeted us and quickly dealt with our check-in and check-out. They were extremely professional and knowledgable, a real credit to the hotel. We felt immediately welcome and comfortable.

The pillows were very soft (feather). This is personal preference but I like a firmer pillow and there was no option to change it. Apart from that very minor point, there was really nothing else we didn't enjoy about our stay.

Situated directly across from St Pancras International Station ‘The Standard’ is a super convenient base for anyone wanting to spend time in London. Check-in was straightforward and the staff were super friendly. I was located on the fourth floor with a partial view of Kings Cross. Bedroom was compact but it had everything I wanted plus space to sit when not using the bed. The bathroom was immaculately clean with a brilliant shower, loads of hot water and lovely scented body wash and shampoo. I opted to have breakfast in the hotel, the breakfast room is on the ground floor and all the tables are well spaced out. It’s set out in a buffet style with a selection of hot and cold options, juices that you can collect yourself and toast and hot drinks which are ordered from your table, if you do not wish to have scrambled eggs, the waiter or waitress will take your individual order as well so they are cooked to your preference. Had a fantastic day, the bed was super comfortable and the blackout blinds worked a treat, also it was very quiet and I couldn’t hear the road outside, even though it was very busy. Would absolutely recommend and come here again in the future. Thank you team Standard!

The highlight goes to the location, followed by service at the hotel. Specially the security folks at the front door, always with a big smile and nice greeting.

I understand London is expensive, not my first time there. Yet I was expecting more from the hotel room due to the rates, in reality I understand the only reason for the rate is the location. We could have stayed a bit more far from the King Cross station, and still be in a very nice area and considerably more cheap. I thought I had paid for breakfast within our rate, but in the end breakfast was not even included, so as a customer I was wondering: why this price ? Short answer: If you either value stay super close to the King Cross Station, or you are up to pay more and be part of the hotel's events, than you are good to go with this hotel, otherwise look around the area and you can find cheaper deals.

Loved the place, booked bc had a late dinner with friends and it was not convenient to go back home at night. Stayed in a windowless room, was a bit hesitant at first, but the room is superb! Spacious enough and has great facilities, bed is very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and nice. During the checkout we encountered Zii, he was generous with his time and showed us around and told more about the building. We are very pleased with our stay and will be back soon!

Position for Eurostar, canal walk & lots of other activities. The restaurant. Staff very friendly & seemed happy even late at night. Very convenient location. Nice terrace bar.

For your standard of hotel, it would have been nice to have had the first bottle of water on arrival on the house? Also with my early morning coffee or tea, I was looking for a cookie of some sort? Usually in hotels you are offered a small packet of 2 cookies on the coffee tea making tray each? Cookies can be bought wrapped in twos....! Another important fact, I was disappointed after having been to the theatre with my nephew & his girlfriend from Belgium, we w had a nightcap in your bar & wanted a few nibbles, but the kitchen had just closed! The time was 22.35pm,? I thought this country wants to boost the economy? London used to be the be the best capital in the world? All in all I enjoyed my stay. But next time remind me to buy some sandwiches when returning from a show?

Staff was extremely friendly.

We needed to change our accommodations, due to a memorial service, the Standard refused to make any changes, over a month in advance notice, no quarter, in absolutes; so that is the reason I would not stay there again. The place was very nice lots of internal options for dining and cocktails a plus. The wait staff was very sweet, but after dealing with management ... I would be redescent to book again unfortunately.

Convenient location a few minutes’ walk from King’s Cross/St Pancras station. King of Kings room was spacious and well appointed, spotlessly clean. Staff all well trained & friendly. I two meals from room service, both arrived promptly and were actually really decent food. Overall a proper five star hotel experience without the stuffiness of the older places!

When asked if anyone would be staying with me I mentioned someone might, and the reception person repeatedly tried to get me to give them my date’s name, in case she stayed over?! It felt a bit strange and invasive. Some people value their privacy, guys! Willing to chalk it up to maybe a misunderstanding by the receptionist though, as she was otherwise nice & polite.

The location was great and it was very easy to catch the train to different parts of the city. The room was clean and had plenty of space with great lighting. The staff was polite, attentive and allowed us to check in early.

We were looking forward to the rooftop bar and was part of the reason we booked the hotel, but it was closed for a private event which was disappointing. Going in we knew it was going to be more expensive than some of the other places we stayed, and I would probably take that into account more carefully if I booked in the future.

We stayed here the night before/of our wedding. The staff could not have been more helpful, leaving us a nice surprise when we checked into our beautiful room. The views over St Pancras are spectacular (make sure to request in advance to see if it’s possible). Hotel is completely dog friendly. Great breakfast, well equipped gym - probably the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The massive windows do a fantastic job keeping out noise and we were surprised at how little we could hear anything, but (as with any big city) be prepared for some noise from the street below.

We stayed here for one night as we were going to see a gig and would have missed our last train home. I booked a windowless room and didn't know what to expect from this hotel. But WOW! We were so impressed. Every single member of staff was so friendly and helpful. Check-in was very efficient. The hotel is really well designed and the room was impressive. Spotlessly clean, nothing missing, everything you need... We went up to the bar in the evening to get the incredible views (and the drinks were excellent too!). The location is so convenient. We will be staying here again.
