The location is perfect and the breakfast was very yummy. It is made to order and has some tasty ingredients. I would say that the naming of the breakfast is slightly incorrect, the sausage, beans and bacon used are not typically in an english breakfast.

The overall quality of the room could be improved, the fittings and carpet used are incredibly tired (stains and signs of wear). It would be nice to see this hotel have a revamp over the next few years to give it the real luxury feel. There were also stains on the bedding which was further evidence of a lack of quality and care provided.

Excellent, helpful and timely staff; extremely comfortable bed; great location for local and international trains, close to good grocery stores, shops, cafes and restaurants; spacious, comfortable room; large, great flowing shower rose; fabulous decor; extra items (nail files, cotton wool balls and buds…) in bathroom; and complimentary snacks etc.

Heavy doors not automatically opening and not enough space for mobility impaired or luggage to be easily manoeuvred through certain doorways; not all power points working in our room; no high desk or table (for working or dining); insufficient lighting when curtains closed; shower splashing outside shower area.

The location is great, you can see St Pancras station in background of one of the hotel photos, it's really just a few minutes walk from there which is where we arrived and only 50 steps from the nearest tube station entrance (I counted). The room for two adults and two teenagers was still comfortable and nicely designed with lighting that actually illuminates. The shower had plenty of rapidly warm water and fluffy towels, there's a mini-bar with free chilled still and sparkling water. The staff were friendly and capable and the WiFi was excellent. The area has plenty of places nearby for breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee.

The noise from Euston road directly outside is constant until late evening although not too disruptive apart from the occasional motorcyclist speeding away from the traffic lights.

The location is perfect for anyone needed to take one of the very early Eurostar trains from St. Pancras (which is why I had booked it). Given the early morning departure from the hotel (5:45am), we didn't get an opportunity to try out the restaurant for breakfast. The en-suite bathroom was lovely. I particularly liked the coffee machine with the expresso pods as I like real coffee and the hotel branded lager plus soft drinks in the fridge, which were included in the price along with crisps, etc. I booked at the last minute and the price (by central London standards) seemed very reasonable. Front desk staff were very friendly.

We had booked in for a Friday night and one could hear live music from somewhere nearby. To be fair, it had stopped by 9:30pm, but it was annoying given that we had planned on a very early start. Otherwise, I don't recall any other issues.

I returned to The Megaro after staying there over 10 years ago. I was excited to return as I enjoyed my stay, the hotel and my room back then. Was I excited as previous? Not so much. Don’t get me wrong. It’s a nice place and all but I was a tad underwhelmed. Maybe I had romanticised my memory of the hotel or had the hotel become a bit tired, overpriced (yes, that could have been due to it being the Easter weekend) and not that special: I still can’t answer that question. It’s in a brilliant location. Lively, busy, tube station close by. I could walk to anything. And I did The breakfast was fantastic in the cafe/restaurant attached to the hotel. Great food. Awesome coffee. Lovely staff. Overall. It was ok. Would I stay at The Megaro again? Probably not considering there are so many options available.

Everything about the hotel and my room was great. My room looked out over the streets in front of Kings Cross and St Pancras train and underground stations....but soundproofing was really good and sounds from outside where minimal and certainly didn't keep me awake. The bed was really comfortable and the amenities were great. There was water and sodas and I think a type of beer in the little fridge. There was a coffee maker and things to make coffee plus cups and glasses. There is room service if you want it. There's a restaurant and a really cool bar downstairs, Hocus Pocus-Alchemy Bar.

On the morning of my departure I went downstairs to have my included breakfast. I asked for the simplest of breakfasts...an egg sunny-side up and toast...because I wanted to eat and go back to my room to finish packing. 20 minutes went by, then 30....no one came to my table to refresh my coffee or to explain why things were taking so long. Shortly after that I got up and said I need to leave without having breakfast because I need to finish packing and catch a train. The hotel apologized profusely But since I had booked through booking.com they could not issue any kind of credit to my credit card. The front desk person ran and got a couple of pastries for me to go...but I told her with the luggage I already have to deal with...I couldn't carry anything else.

The location was excellent. The room was very well equipped and clesn

The reception staff on a couple of occasions were a bit off hand. We had a problem with our fridge. They said it would be fixed while we were out but it wasn’t. Also we were questioned if we had a reservation in the cocktail lounge whilst they sorted it but it was the manner in which we were asked was a little upsetting. Also at one point the lift didn’t work and we were asked could you not walk up, it was the sixth floor and I also have asthma. They did rectify the warm drinks problem by swapping them for cold ones.

We called to request a quieter room as we were overlooking euston road, and were upgraded by the lovely receptionist to the 6th floor into a suite. It was divine!!! No complaints here, stunning room, great views, high class amenity. Thank you.

Review is a tale of two halves - the price for the standard double room, which we originally booked and what you get for your money, is not good - the quality of the furnishings, and the general ambience in the 'normal' rooms is not worth the money charged. The bathroom was tired, the bed was lumpy and it just felt so drab. Do not recommend a stay for the standard or 'deluxe' rooms.

The room was large and comfortable and the location excellent - just across the road from Kings Cross, St Pancras and the British Library, but in a quiet side street so that there is very little traffic noise. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of Brunswick Square, which has a cinema and numerous eating places, and Russell Square Park where there is a very nice cafe where you can sit outside.

The only thing missing was a desk. As an academic I really missed having a comfortable spot to work on my laptop.

Both the hotel and the room were nicely decorated with creative and interesting artworks. The room was very comfortable and clean, it included everything one would need while away from home. The location of the hotel was so central with major public transportation and international stations across the street. Very convenient!

There was construction going on next door from the hotel during the day and then some city pipe work going on at night. The windows were not completely soundproof but the noise was never really an issue. The nighttime city work might be done by the time I'm writing this review but the construction next door looked massive and will probably take another 8+ months at least to finish. No problems with the actual hotel itself!
