Location is excellent. One minute walk to King's Cross tube entrance & less than 10 minutes to Euston. Room was bright, comfortable & clean.

Minor complaint would be the squeaking floorboards. We were in room 16, a basement room. The floorboards above us, either from the hall, room, or staircase are very noisey.

Excellent location – no need for long metro rides. We chose a walking tour of London that started at King's Cross on the day we arrived. We checked in, had a great meal at the nearby Greek restaurant, and got to the meeting point in just five minutes. A busy first day with no stress or transport hassle! We also had an early trip to the Harry Potter Studio Tour, and getting to Victoria Station (where the Warner Bros. buses depart) was quick and easy – a huge plus for families. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, and very comfortable beds. Note: the staircase is quite narrow, so it might not suit people with limited mobility or families with small children. Also, small suitcases are definitely more practical here. The area is a hidden gem for food lovers – outstanding Greek, Georgian, and absolutely amazing Azerbaijani restaurants just around the corner. Dinner at the Azerbaijani place after a long day was pure joy. There’s also a lovely breakfast spot called Half Cup, only 3 minutes away. I give it a 10 for the unbeatable convenience of getting everywhere easily – truly appreciated! And a special thank you for the unexpected bonus of being in a true food lover’s paradise.

Some street noise in the morning and late at night, but not a major issue

It's a VERY basic place, but you can't beat the location and the price, and it is tidy and clean and comfortable. Until I move into a significantly swankier tax bracket, this will remain my go-to place in Central London without paying Central London prices. Literally right across the street from King's Cross, which is so convenient for getting anywhere you want to go, plus a one-stop shop to get to and from Heathrow. Also right down the street from Euston Station if you are traveling elsewhere in the UK by train. Very clean, TV gets plenty of local channels, the WiFi is fast (I work remotely and never had an issue). Front desk is always attended by someone friendly and helpful. Shower is always hot.

It's an older building so the soundproofing from the street is basically non-existent, which can be an issue in a city that never sleeps if you are in one of the rooms overlooking the street. It's a very picturesque street, though.

I am visiting the Alhambra several times a year, because of its super nice team and the perfect location. It is a simple hotel, yet very tidy with super friendly and helpful service and well equipped rooms. My usual room has a suffient (very) small bath, hairdryer, coffeemaker and TV and is always well maintained. I do not book breakfast, but appreciate the option to buy snacks and drinks at the reception. Train stations, busses and tube are 1 minute walk from the hotel and the area offers a wide variety of food options.

I personally don't mind, but one can of course hear the doors and guests mocing around in the mornings.

Location was excellent, really close to King's Cross with plenty shops, restaurants, etc. nearby. It's not far at all off the main road so it felt safe for me walking there as a female solo traveller. Bed was super comfy. Everything was clean and tidy. Room size wasn't huge but was perfectly fine. My room looked out onto the street, which I was worried might get noisy but it was totally fine. Great value for money given the location and comfort.

Decor is a little dated but ok. Had to climb over the bed to reach the window blind. Bathroom is a bit cramped. The staff member at checkout was disinterested - he knew I was standing there but continued on his phone until he decided he was ready (!), and he didn't ask anything about my stay.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - literally a 2 minute walk to Kings Cross Station, so super easy for getting around. The room was very clean and the facilities were great.

The room was smaller than we expected - we were travelling to Australia and had 2 big suitcases and it barely fit in the room. They had an issue with one of the smoke alarms which was going off for over an hour before they managed to disarm it - not ideal at 11pm when you're trying to sleep. I appreciate the effort they made to fix it and the staff were very onto it - it just unfortunately took a long time.

It is the ideal hotel to stay if you are traveling alone, close to everything, very safe area, check-in and check-out were immediate, the room is what it promises, it is small but so comfortable and cozy that its size does not bother at all, I even had work calls and I found that in the same room there is a very comfortable space to take them and be able to work without problems, meters from the central station and King Cross that connects to the entire city. Without a doubt, it will be my choice again when I return to London!

Location is brilliant. 2 minutes walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras stations and tube. 10 minutes walk to British Museum, 20 minutes walk to Covent garden and Soho, or easy tube ride. But still quiet and peaceful. Room was very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. Quite small but that is normal in London. Heating was good and I could open the window.

Shower worked perfextly in the evening. In the morning I usually had to reset the electric shower unit 2 or 3 times, but then it worked without further problems, so all OK.

This was my second stay at the Alhambra Hotel, and I've already booked my third. This hotel is such a fantastic value for money. Yes, it's small. The stairs aren't made for our massive suitcases but it doesn't matter when all you're after is a place to sleep at night. The location is superb, the rooms and bathrooms are super clean, the beds are comfy, and the staff is very friendly. I've read other reviews from people complaining about how this hotel doesn't do breakfast... you're in LONDON!! There are SO many fantastic restaurants and cafes that can provide you with breakfast. It shouldn't be a negative mark on this hotel.

Location is perfect, across the road from Kings Cross station. There is a bicycle hire stand right outside too, which we used to get over to Covent Garden. Only £6 for two bicycles for 24hours. Bargain. O’Neills pub right around the corner for watching the sport on tv & found a lovely cafe nearby for breakfast. Very clean & tidy. Quite small, but for the price it really is lovely. Staff at check-in were pleasant & we were able to drop our bags off earlier in the day. Hassle free. No silly hidden charges for stuff….which I hate. Got exactly what we paid for and I’ve paid a lot more for much worse in the past. As we wanted this as cheap as possible, we chose a room with no toilet/shower. It did have a small sink which was handy & the toilet was right outside our door & spotlessly clean. Didn’t use the shower so can’t comment. It was also just on the corridor outside our door. The stairs & hallways are quite narrow, so anyone with large luggage or mobility problems may find that a nuisance, but it wasn’t a bother for us. Reception also has a mini shop with some cold drinks & snacks (crisps, chocolate, fruit) which was cheap & handy. Again nice to see them not trying to rip people off with the prices for this stuff. Would highly recommend as a budget or one night stay.

Hallways & stairs quite narrow.
