Atmosphere, staff, location, people all good. Breakfast was fresh and excellent with plenty of food and drink. Really happy clean room and well dress facilities. Everything in walking distances to get to. Brilliant staff and happy to help and go the extra mile to please customers really excellent service.

Location of the rooms no sound proffing so woken up at 8am with banging of gas bottles, people locked out of their room shouting, constant noise unfortunately. As your at the back no one cares as it can be noisy as you like plus there is a games room next door and outside facilities so can be very noisy that's the only issue. During breakfast having a conversation someone turned the lights off so had to shout to let people know were still here.

Check in was efficient. Room was well presented and spotlessly clean. Contained everything we needed. Had been slightly worried as other reviews suggested room might be cold, but no worries here. Entrance was not in the actual pub and so very convenient as we like to stay out late. Breakfast beautifully prepared.

During breakfast a number of guests were wandering about looking for some where to leave keys/book out. The cleaner was very helpful.

The working team were very attentive and the staff actually looked like they wanted to be there which is always a bonus, the breakfast was delicious and the food (although we never had dinner as we'd eaten) looked very enticing. We'd definitely make it as a place to dine in the future. Beautifully set within a cricket green area, great location and friendly pub.

Nothing to not like to be fair. If I'm to be really picky then some EV charges would have been a complete 💯

The location opposite the Village Green, and close to Maldon. The Staff were super friendly and helpful. The local clientele were very friendly and welcoming....even provided a Cockapoodle to pet! The food, I had breakfasts and Bar food, everything I had was excellent,,,for my first time I actually ate the salad garnish with my sandwich, the dressing was super tasty. My 3 night break was too short.

The only drawback was the wifi did not work in my room.. it was ok in the Bar area. The Manager advised that they are in the process of changing their wifi provider.

The breakfast menu was fairly limited but not surprising for a small venue but there was sufficient choice. However, it was very nice indeed and the service was excellent. The room was well equipped and comfortable but it was a little hot. This is obviously already recognised as an issue and there was a free standing floor fan in the room which made a lot of difference. The room's location in the middle of a busy pub venue meant it was a bit noisy whilst the pub was open but apart from that it was very good.

Unfortunately the shower in my room wouldn't turn cool enough and was too hot to shower in comfortably.

Check in was smooth and easy Breakfast was extremely good, great choice and I had a request to eat early and that was accommodated very well Great view from the room “Tiptree Room” The staff member who checked us in was very friendly, and the guy serving breakfast is a star!

When we left the room to go out in the evening, we discovered there was no blind in the window, we went to the bar as we wanted to eat first and the manager came out and told us, that the blind had been broken the previous day and he’d not repaired it!? Why not? It’s July the sun was up just after 4:30am and although it was a beautiful view, I didn’t want to be woken by the sunrise which I was The shower sealant in the bathroom needs cleaning and or replacing.

A lovely country style pub with rooms set in a quiet & pretty location. Staff were great, especially the young man behind the bar, no trouble making a coffee & hot chocolate after we returned late from a party😍rooms are lovely, clean & comfortable, bed a little hard for me! Breakfast was very nice & served by one person( 8 in our party)great job!

Room was chilly, but had an electric heater in cupboard, plugged that in & warmed up nicely.

Free parking breakfast included location good for all surrounding events clean place varied menu local bus stop right outside Marianna was an exceptionally helpful member of staff who would go out of her way to make your stay as comfortable as possible & is very polite

The only downside was the cracked tiles on the floor in bathroom which needs repairing

A very convenient quiet location for purpose of our trip, visiting relatives. Good sized room with ensuite. Heating provided. Cooked breakfast options. Limited rooms in a separate building in grounds of Hotel. Ground floor room.

No cereal or fruit for breakfast but may have been available on request.....as was orange juice.

We stayed here for a joint birthday party held in the function room, we booked the 4 rooms as a family, we moved from one room because there was a smell of cigarette smoke, they soon came to clean and air the room, the next room was made up but the tea, coffee and milk etc wasn't replenished for our stay, the TV tiny, overall very comfy bed and a good sleep, we had lunch which was very nice, the breakfast included was great, very hard working staff, very polite

Little touches of decor to tidy up, other than that everything was good
