The room I was given was so much more than I was expecting for the great price I paid . It was clean , comfortable and it had absolutely everything you could possibly want., from dressing gowns and slippers to eye masks . There was a great selection of teas and coffees including a coffee pod machine that made hot chocolate and brand name coffees. It even had a complimentary bottle of Italian dissarono for a tasty night cap. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Nicky who greeted me at reception.

If I have to say one thing that I wasn't a fan of ...it was the carpark location,you have to leave directly onto a busy road with limited vision of oncoming traffic , but they have put a camera and TV screen up to assist you with this . So I don't know how much more they could do to make the process easier for you.

I really enjoy the stay. Everything was excelent. Both ladies at the reception were very nice and helpful . We had a lovely room with 4 posters bed and a nice bathroom. Coffee machine and mini bar was handy. Our continental breakfast was very tasty. The breakfast which other guests ordered from menu avaliable also looked delicious and I heard it really was. Unfortunately we came on Sunday and Monday when restaurant is closed, so we have to come again to try the food there 🙂

Bathroom is lovely, you just need a degree to figure out how the shower works 🙂 Also I am not a big fan of showers with a rain showerhead only without a hose, but its just personal choice.

We loved the decor of the hotel and the location. The staff were exceptionally friendly and well and the breakfast was lovely 😍

It was a shame the family rooms do not feature a full poster bed, as the only difference we saw between the family rooms and the rooms with a full poster bed, was that the family room had an extra single bed. This could have easily been included in a room with a full poster bed as the rooms were the same size. We also felt due to the size of the hotel and facilities included, the price was a little high.

What a find. This hotel and restaurant in a central position in Maldon was fantastic. An Italian family owned business which was well run and the food was exceptional in the lovely indoors/outdoors restaurant. All the food is home made to order and includes pasta and pizzas as well as other lovely dishes. All the staff really looked after us and it was no trouble to them explaining what the dishes were and how they were made. The breakfasts were equally good and cooked to perfection with an Italian twist. Our bedroom was comfy although the bed was a little small for us and the duvet was too hot. These are only minor quibbles and we shall return in the future to this lovel place.

Our room was very small and with only 2 Tiny windows it was very very hot and the fan provided didn't work also the bed was very noisy so couldn't have any adult activities as even sitting on it ,it moved and made alot of noise . So laid as still as possible not to wake other guests . And the view wasn't good and cos we had to have windows open we could hear all the traffic so sleeping wasn't great and with the sky window which was a nice touch meant the room never got dark.

So comfortable warm and lovely bed everything you need shampoo and conditioner really great clean food wonderful too. Would stay again and highly recommend

The bed was soooo comfy the room very welcoming water in the room which we always like. The shampoo and conditioner amazing too. We stay away most weeks for work and would highly recommend the bed probably the most comfortable one we have had in the U.K. HIGHLY RECOMMEND we would definitely stay again

I loved the unique decor, towels, bath robes, complimentary drinks. The lunch we ordered before our event & the breakfast the morning after were amazing!!! Staff were friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was very welcome for a comfortable nights sleep.

Unfortunately we had a wedding party on the same floor who started to get excited from about 6.30am, front door & bedroom doors slamming, door knocking, skreetching, loud conversations outside our door etc. Not the hotels fault at all.

Good central location with car parking. Clean, good sized ground floor room with modern en-suite bathroom. Good shower. Hanging space and drawers Excellent breakfast options. Very accommodating to vegans. Ambiance of the Al Fresco was good even in cold, damp March. Generous heating- we turned it down quite a bit. Friendly staff

The only downside was the air freshener which seemed to achieve the opposite. Light sleepers might need to know that this is on a road which is busy 24/7. Despite double glazing some noise got through.

It was in a great characterful area of Maldon and in an attractive setting. It was everything needed for a 1 night stay with lots of little niceties - chocolates, biscuits, toiletries, fresh water, earl grey tea bags etc. Breakfast choices were interesting and what we both had were delicious. Although we hadn’t planned to eat in the restaurant, as our booked restaurant appeared to be closed (they didn’t answer several phone calls) we managed to grab the last table and weren’t disappointed - great Italian food!

I booked the room for my mother-in-law and the location was ideal, right near the town centre. She enjoyed her breakfast. Some other relations also had dinner in the restaurant which they said was excellent.

She said there was a "funny smell", which my husband thought was just polish. She felt the price should have included breakfast, for which she paid extra. The car park is quite tricky to get out of and the screen provided was difficult to see i n bright sunlight.
