The room I was given was so much more than I was expecting for the great price I paid . It was clean , comfortable and it had absolutely everything you could possibly want., from dressing gowns and slippers to eye masks . There was a great selection of teas and coffees including a coffee pod machine that made hot chocolate and brand name coffees. It even had a complimentary bottle of Italian dissarono for a tasty night cap. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Nicky who greeted me at reception.

If I have to say one thing that I wasn't a fan of ...it was the carpark location,you have to leave directly onto a busy road with limited vision of oncoming traffic , but they have put a camera and TV screen up to assist you with this . So I don't know how much more they could do to make the process easier for you.

The room and bed were extremely comfortable, and the double glazing very effective at excluding noise from the road outside. The air conditioning kept the room at a comfortable temperature during the heat wave! We only ate breakfast in the restaurant, but this was excellent (and had some interesting Italian themed aspects to the dishes.)

Getting out of the car park is a bit tricky, as it has a partly obscured exit on a steep hill with quite a lot of traffic. There is a camera arranged to give a view of traffic coming down the hill, and this is a good idea, but the screen was almost invisible in sunshine.

Comfortable beds. Clean. Attention to detail on extra as complimentary for the room, small fridge with fresh milk, complimentary cans of pop, Tassimo coffee machine, right down to a decanter of disserano spirit! It's all about the extras that wasn't compulsory but we're a nice little treat. Eyemasks, noise cancelling ear plugs, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, sewing kit, 2x room fans. Great location for a walk in the town, with a few restaurants, local shops, bars. Off road parking. On site Italian restaurant, what needs to sell a couple of chicken dishes. (This was my only fault if I'm honest?) . Full cooked breakfast set us up for going home.

Myself and two mates needed a last minute spontaneous hotel room around the area. Thankfully,the triple room in the Limes came up and we thought the price was great. We didn't need much in terms of facilities: bed, roof and shower! But we were all so impressed with the hotel. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast. The fan in the room was very well received given the temperature that day. Complementary soft drinks in the fridge too. I will definitely try to attempt booking here again if, and when, I am in the area. Whether it be for work or a weekend away.

I really enjoy the stay. Everything was excelent. Both ladies at the reception were very nice and helpful . We had a lovely room with 4 posters bed and a nice bathroom. Coffee machine and mini bar was handy. Our continental breakfast was very tasty. The breakfast which other guests ordered from menu avaliable also looked delicious and I heard it really was. Unfortunately we came on Sunday and Monday when restaurant is closed, so we have to come again to try the food there 🙂

Bathroom is lovely, you just need a degree to figure out how the shower works 🙂 Also I am not a big fan of showers with a rain showerhead only without a hose, but its just personal choice.

We loved the decor of the hotel and the location. The staff were exceptionally friendly and well and the breakfast was lovely 😍

It was a shame the family rooms do not feature a full poster bed, as the only difference we saw between the family rooms and the rooms with a full poster bed, was that the family room had an extra single bed. This could have easily been included in a room with a full poster bed as the rooms were the same size. We also felt due to the size of the hotel and facilities included, the price was a little high.

Hotel was in a perfect location for Maldon town centre we were staying to go to Chelmsford racecourse which was a 30 min drive away but with hotel having a car park that was helpful and also having electric car charging points an added bonus. Double room very nice and clean and had lots of tea and coffee facilities water and toiletries even air conditioning unit which we should have used as room was warm! staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious

What a find. This hotel and restaurant in a central position in Maldon was fantastic. An Italian family owned business which was well run and the food was exceptional in the lovely indoors/outdoors restaurant. All the food is home made to order and includes pasta and pizzas as well as other lovely dishes. All the staff really looked after us and it was no trouble to them explaining what the dishes were and how they were made. The breakfasts were equally good and cooked to perfection with an Italian twist. Our bedroom was comfy although the bed was a little small for us and the duvet was too hot. These are only minor quibbles and we shall return in the future to this lovel place.

Beers not chilled! Nothing else to dislike.

Our room was very small and with only 2 Tiny windows it was very very hot and the fan provided didn't work also the bed was very noisy so couldn't have any adult activities as even sitting on it ,it moved and made alot of noise . So laid as still as possible not to wake other guests . And the view wasn't good and cos we had to have windows open we could hear all the traffic so sleeping wasn't great and with the sky window which was a nice touch meant the room never got dark.

So comfortable warm and lovely bed everything you need shampoo and conditioner really great clean food wonderful too. Would stay again and highly recommend

The bed was soooo comfy the room very welcoming water in the room which we always like. The shampoo and conditioner amazing too. We stay away most weeks for work and would highly recommend the bed probably the most comfortable one we have had in the U.K. HIGHLY RECOMMEND we would definitely stay again
