The rooms was spacious, bright and comfortable. There was a fair-sized surface to work on, though it wasn't a proper desk. There is plenty of space for parking in an enclosed area (locked at night). There is a good variety of public spaces, including a couple of garden areas. Only a short walk from the town of Melton Mowbray

The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that the front desk was deserted so much of the time. I expected the night-time closure, but even during opening hours there was seldom anyone there. No doubt they were occupied with administrative chores in a nearby office.

We had an excellent experience from start to finish. The cleanest room we have ever stayed in and very comfortable and quiet. We slept very well. The hotel staff were very friendly. We would recommend the hotel to others. We are already planning a return visit. Parking was good and we loved the garden area.

Overall breakfast was good but the toaster didn't work well so we ended up with 3 rounds of burnt toast before getting some that was edible.

Property is deceptive, from the road it looks quite small but behind is a lovely building with great gardens. Room was clean and comfy. Best thing by far are the staff, very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Only downside is the rooms at the front face a road so if you open the windows it can be a bit noisy but at the weekend this didn't cause us too many issues and next time we will make sure to get a courtyard or garden room.

A very nice hotel with a lot of character. The room was absolutely superb with four-poster bed which we found very comfortable. Comfortable chairs provided in a large room and the bathroom was very nice. The gardens are nice but the view beyond is unfortunately spoilt by new housing development. Breakfast was nice.

Rather slow service from the staff. When I requested something, I had to wait for the staff to be available, and my breakfast was not exactly as I ordered due to one or two missed out. "Starter" breakfast rather limited and I had to wait for yoghurt when it ran out from the self serve area. Also, tea/coffee provision in the bedroom could have been better with more choice of tea and biscuits.

Slept really well both nights. Quiet room overlooking garden. Very clean room and EnSuite. Comfortable mattress. Helpful staff. Breakfast top notch and Sea Bream cooked perfectly. Would stay again. Much better value than budget hotel such as Premier Inn which for those nights was charging more.

Forgot about the safety speed bump second morning - quite severe.

The hotel was in a good location in beautiful grounds. The staff were lovely, very helpful. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean. Lovely area's to sit and read inside and out.

The only tjing my partner didnt like was he felt his breakfast wasnt big enough, he likes two eggs and to sausages.

We had an excellent evening meal and breakfast. Our room was spacious and spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. We like how the car park was securely locked overnight.

As well was the complimentary tea and coffee I think some bottled water would have been good. The decor was tasteful apart from the portraits of hunts people.

Dog friendly (i am not a dog owner) there are lots of separate areas in this quaint place. I really enjoyed having dogs around but not part of the restaurant and they enhanced my visit. Talked to people I may not have connected with but for the pooch. Loved it.

This stay met my expectations

Had to have breakfast very promptly due to day plans. Staff very accommodating on meeting us halfway with this. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious. Gardens picturesque

Spacious room with twin beds and sofa. Well heated. Bath with overhead shower. Nice towels. Breakfast very good. One of the ladies changing the beds etc very kindly came down to the car with a piece of luggage I'd left behind. Lovely gardens and close to the shops in Melton. Would stay again if passing that route.
