Accommodation was in a large and comfortable double room, with ensuite bathroom. We were attending a Pie-Making course at Brocklebury's and Bertha very kindly offered to put our "wares" in a refrigerator overnight so as not to spoil before setting off the next morning.

We booked through booking.com and there was a bit of a mix-up about the rooms that I had requested, but that was put right with a phone call directly the hotel itself.

Breakfast was an additional cost - this was very nice and you could choose what you wanted. I would say that it is a good price if you are taking full advantage of the full English. It was all very well cooked The rooms are a little dated but they are comfortable Staff were lovely, we only interracted with one lady as the others were on holiday. But she couldnt do enough for us

Rooms - a little dated and could do with a refresh. Also very hot in the night as the radiators could not be turned off/down. Still very comfortable rooms though and had everything you needed

room was clean , didnt eat there thought breakfast was a little expensive wetherspoons just down the road half price !!

nothing we enjoyed the stay been there many times will go back if the rumuors are not true about it to become a hostal it does not mix with paying guests and gov paid freebys

Staff very friendly, room and bed a good size. Lounge and bar pleasant with good prices. Evening meal very nice. Daily replenishment of tea/ coffee, milk and biscuits.

TV reception poor and erratic. Bath good but shower over the bath not very powerful. One electric socket taped over with a do not use sticker. No accessible sockets either side of the bed, only one double socket for the bedside lamps on the wall right under the headboard under the bed.

The location is just a short walk from the town centre. The breakfast was good and well organised. A specious room that was nice and quiet. Check in was easy and prompt.

The bath room was a good size but the bath/shower and toilet were cramped together. Shower was too cramped and the controls were poorly placed leading to alteration of temperature and flow when showering.

The hotel is just 3.5 miles from a popular wedding venue (the old cow shed barns) so location is ideal in that regard. Staff went above & beyond to ensure we were all accommodated- rooms (5 of them) were made ready early as the wedding was 12.30 and we had travelled nearly three hours so needed to change & freshen up. Truda had ensured a sofa bed was made up for a 3 year old in her parents room. All the rooms were spacious, well equipped & clean & staff bent over backwards for us always with a smile. Breakfast was excellent & really good value.

No criticisms at all

The location was perfect with a short walk to the town centre. The staff were most welcoming and the ambiance was excellent. We checked in and had a drink before walking round Melton Mowbray. Free parking at the rear of the hotel. When checking out in the morning I asked if it was okay to leave the car whilst we went for another walk and they said it was fine. Never heard any other guests so a peaceful nights sleep.

Breakfast 7am to 9am. A bit early for us and a set price. So didn’t have it.

We travelled for a wedding which was just 3.5 miles away at 12.30 - spoke to Truda who kindly ensured our rooms (5 of them) were ready early so we could change & freshen up. She also accommodated our 3 year old granddaughter with a sofa bed in our daughters room. Breakfast was lovely (juice cereal & full English with toast & marmalade) and an excellent price! All was very clean and the rooms were well equipped. Nothing was to much trouble.I would certainly recommend this hotel.

I have No complaints or niggles whatsoever

cleanliness of the whole hotel and the room, bathroom were very spacious comfortable . The bed bed linen and towels lovely and clean. plenty of parking ,within walking distance to town centre , friendly staff .Breakfast was good plenty variety on offer cereal yoghurt etc . We felt they would try to accommodate most dietary needs if requested .

we thought there was a restaurant which was open to public as well as hotel gusts but we went to order a meal and it was all shut- up but with it been in walking distance to town it was easy to get an evening meal

Very spacious accommodation. Closeness to the town centre. Parking. Comfortable bed. Pleasant staff.

No walk in Shower. We are in our 80's and shower over bath not suitable.
