The hotel is situated in a lovely location, the hotel grounds are fab, great outdoor area for drinks and a meal. We stayed bed and breakfast, the breakfast was really good, has a good selection of continental and a really good full English. The staff were very helpful, always polite.. one in particular who worked the bar (David) is an asset to the company, always greeted you with a smile, nothing to much trouble for him, lovely and chatty and really good at his job. The evening menu we also really good, fish & chips and the steak and ale pie were my favourite's. Can't comment on the Sunday lunch as they had sold out for the time we booked (gutted)... They have a lovely little chapel attached to the hotel, which we were lucky enough to get to look around and there was also a wedding while we were there. The rooms were comfortable and clean and quite spacious although a little dated but it didn't stop us having a great time and would definitely visit again.
Rooms a bit dated and we had the steak which was tasty but a little tough but if that's all there is to mention after a 4 night stay, it isn't doing that badly.

Really nice hotel lots of history in and around the grounds. Very well presented areas around the bar and restaurant (chairs kept in theme with the hotel but I would have liked them to have been a bit less rickety in the restaurant). Church was lovely and the service we attended went very well. All in all a very nice hotel with well priced accommodation nice food and very pleasant and friendly staff throughout.
The decor in our bathroom was a bit dated. Some water damage around the bottom of the bath decor but otherwise nothing that spoilt our stay. Room was very clean and plenty of storage.

Breakfast was very nice, full English for me, on a par with my preferred local cafe, but there were continental choices too room was not perfect,(also this was not expected just thought I would use context), but it was kept well for the age of the building, and a comfortable bed too. good water pressure for the shower as well.
the bathroom/shower could do with a grab handle at an adult height, I'm not as steady on the wet floors anymore. Also walking 50 yards to request a bath mat from reception is a bit odd, as if I wanted one it was too late I was already in the shower/bath.

Brilliant and generous good quality breakfast, lots of choice beautifully prepared and presented. Cinnamon rolls probably the best I’ve had when away from home! Nice age range of staff, good to see good role Modelling for the younger staff, and training and development for all. Housekeeping really friendly and bright people despite the nature of their job (hard work!).Rural location but a short distance from the city, a great pub - woodsman 10minutes walk away in the village definitely recommended. Loads of history to the Manor House, which had great charm and character. Honestly, we felt like the stay could have easily been double the price!
Nothing- but there is room for improvement that relates to estates upkeep, some tiredness in the interior decor and furnishings too. Grounds to the rear were very jaded. I wonder if volunteer gardeners or lottery funds might be able to resurrect the walled gardens and green house? . Was there a bowling green there at some point? I can understand why there were no frills in our room- to keep prices low- would have been appreciative of some posh toiletries, robe, slippers and a little table and chairs on the veranda - though I understand would have pushed up the price. In any case, I woke in the morning and felt really happy. (Got to say, we absolutely loved this place and would yearn to return)- well done everyone at Rothley Court-we really enjoyed our stay thank you

Quaint, quirky, historical. One of the best beer gardens you will ever go to. Been travelling for work for a number of years now and think Rothley Court has some of the most comfortable beds going. Room I stayed in seemed to have a new shower too. Good location, Rothley decent village and enjoy getting to Bradgate Park. Staff friendly and Chateauneuf du Pape by the glass is amazing. Keep on coming back here.
Creaky floors at times, can be hot in summer. Could do with an after hours key box as I tend to check out early morning

The hotel is beautiful, the room was clean and tidy , the staff were always smiling and chatty ,very friendly ,we were there to attend a festival and on the last day of our stay ,we overslept for breakfast and arrived at the dining area late and we thought we missed our chance of a cooked breakfast but Laura sat us down and we got our cooked breakfast ,which was excellent 😀
The pillows were very hard but that is not the hotels fault ,it is just my personal preference to have feather pillows

Me and my friend met up here and did a bit of ghost hunting! Didn't get much evidence but loved the location and the old building where the restaurant and bar is! Lovely chapel too. Staff were very nice and accommodating. It's a very old building but it's beautiful and the outside seating area is so great too! Shame it was too cold to hang out there. They gave me a family room when there was only one of me haha! Lots of room.
My TV remote didn't work, probably just needed new batteries but whenever I walked past reception there wasn't a staff member present. There was a weird smell in my room too. Like someone had been smoking in there before me or had cannabis! But it was a nice room overall.

Beautiful grade 1 listed hotel, some original stained glass windows leading up the stairs, 12 century church which you are able to look around and used for weddings etc.. Very comfy bed, tasty breakfast with many choices, beautiful grounds, and lovely helpful staff, the hotel has a long history and worth, researching. Sadly some reviews mention poor roof maintenance and draughty wood windows without understanding the rules these properties have in upkeep. When speaking to the receptionist they are very aware and are constantly looking to maintain the hotel to its former glory.
If I had to be particular, pillow's a little hard, but this is subjective.

Location was lovely no reception on our phones so it was perfect for us to have a night away. Room was lovely bed was really comfortable and staff were really lovely.
Dinner and breakfast could’ve been better, also the storage cupboard located on the first floor has the pipework for room one in it where we stayed. There was a function on so when the function had finished the staff made a really noisy racket putting the stuff away it was almost midnight. It woke me up and made my husband want to rip someone’s head off. Apart from this hiccup we had a really really lovely stay.

We received a warm welcome at reception and when we asked for two room keys we were accommodated, the extra key was even delivered to our room. The room was clean and well presented, with coffee and tea making facilities, a credit to the hotel. The buffet food at the family party we attended was excellent!! The bar staff were knowledgeable and really helpful a credit to the hotel. There was a great choice at breakfast the next morning. Overall a great experience.
The only thing we didn't like, was as the walls appeared to be thin, it was noisy in terms of hearing the guests in the next room which had an adjoining door, the guests obviously had children and they were all talking loudly. However, that is not the fault of the hotel.
