Stunning entrance to the property. The room was modern, spacious and had plenty of additional touches to make the stay more comfortable, such as bath robes, a shower cap, soaps and shampoos etc. Cleanliness was great for the most part. Big TV. Big comfortable bed. Polite and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend & would personally stay here again without a doubt!

No lock on the bathroom door & gaps either side of the door you can easily see through so lacking privacy somewhat. Wouldn’t say we got a sofa bed - which we did book a room with, more of a lounger chair. There were two marks on the carpet that looked like tea stains & one red stain on the carpet beside the bed… can only assume what that was but rather not. These things could be addressed however they had minimal impact on our stay, just worth mentioning!

Th breakfast was excellent . The location for the city centre was excellent. The hotel was quiet and the windows provided excellent soundproofing from the street below. Sadly we really did struggle to find the car park provided by the hotel, more signage is necessary and somehow we were expecting it to be in a multi storey facility which is not the case. Also my husband is disabled and it was some distance from the hotel. That said, the staff( team Jess and Chandana ) were brilliant and went above and beyond to help us at all times. They are a total asset to your hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

As said the parking is a problem, many other guests also struggled to find the car park and it is not obvious that you can pull off the road immediately in front of the hotel onto a pedestrian area to unload luggage and passengers .

The breakfast was exceptional. It exceeded our expectations. It catered to all palettes. There was great variety and the food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. Lots to choose from, both hot and cold. It really sets you up for the day and the staff were very friendly and willing to assist with special requests if they could. The hotel is very centrally located and within a minute of the city centre. It is on a busy street but it’s still very quiet and you wouldn’t think so. We slept very well on the firm comfortable mattress with good quality pillows. Room was well appointed. A small fridge is handy. The bathroom is a good size. Clean and has a tub and combined shower. We loved this hotel. Excellent value.

I can’t think of one thing that could have been better except maybe a better designated pick up and drop off spot. But that’s a very small knit.

Excellent room given, very comfortable and breakfast was fantastic.

Finding the car park was a challenge due to it being apart from the hotel and in the middle of the city. Paying an additional £10 for parking on a £160 room is a bit ridiculous to be honest. Light got round the curtains and as it was city centre was difficult to get to sleep as the room was not dark enough for me. Good but does not justify the price tag it comes with, I have stayed in better hotels for less.

Breakfast was disappointing in 2 ways: 1 - We were told it would be available between 06:30 & 10am, yet when we came down at 09:45, all the hot breakfast had been taken away. However the staff were very good & provided a full English breakfast, so redeemed themselves on that score. 2 - You have possibly changed your supplier, as the sausages were not nice at all to the point I ate 1 & left the other 2 (& I Hate wasting food). Everything else on the plate was very nice, but the sausages, left a rather unpleasant taste in the mouth.

I looooooved the fact that this hotel is so central and yet the rooms were so insulated from the external noise. The hotel is next to a main road and you would NEVER know from inside on the comfort and peace of your room! I liked that even though we arrived before 3pm a room was available to us and there was no waiting around. Staff were friendly and helpful. We opted for breakfast and were so glad we did! The selection was fab, with poached eggs/omelettes on request, and I've never seen a pancake machine before in a hotel so had to have a try of that too! All in all we felt like we were in London for the night, not Leicester!

Strooooooing smell of marijuana coming from another room down the hall on our arrival - would be nice to know the smoke alarms are working.... 🤨

The location was excellent. Very conveniently situated for bars, restaurants and sightseeing. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The cinema opposite was an added bonus too. Also the car park was very close by. Fantastic!

There were not enough lights in the room, making it very dark and dingy. The large lamp could be adjusted but even on maximum it wasn’t very bright. There was little to no light from the window either as it faced a wall. More illumination is definitely needed, especially if you’re applying makeup. Also the plug sockets were quite far from the mirror making hair drying difficult.

All the staff were so nice and helpful. Big room. Very comfortable bed. The room had a fridge - not one of those you have to pay if you move anything - just a normal fridge and it was very useful. Good storage. Able to charge devices by bedside. Nice bathroom (shower only, but that’s all we needed anyway). Very nice restaurant. We had dinner which was excellent. Plenty of choice at breakfast. We had a room on high floor and enjoyed the views very much.

One of us found a chair in the room was very heavy.

First time staying in Novotel. Brilliant stay, other big hotels need to learn from novotel... The hotel was full but felt like we were only ones in it. We were on floor 2 but no noise from the corridor or neighbouring bedrooms. We were on the front and very little road noise. It was clean and welcoming, fridge in the room big bonus. Staff were lovely. Didn't get a 10 purely because the bed, albeit comfy, was a bit to hard for us. Overall I would not hesitate to stay in this or another novotel again well worth the money.
