Our room was warm, clean, big comfy bed, big bath, large fluffy towels with dressing gowns provided too! Complementary tray tea coffee etc. fresh milk can be delivered to the room. Lovely breakfast.

The Hotel is about 20 mins walking along the lovely New Walk promenade to the city centre. It is comfortable and welcoming. It has parking which is a big plus. It is a grand victorian property. Sometimes a little tired in the rooms but has a grandeur that the newer hotels do not have. It has a comfortable bar and terrace which is nice to lounge which are well decorated and cosy. It is near good restaurants in the university district. I would say it is good value for money. The breakfast was good. Whenever I come to Leicester I stay here now. I have tried several of the others but for my needs this is the best option

We asked for a ground floor room due to mobility issues and were given an accessible room. Big bathroom with a decent shower that had a seat. Only issue was the screen needed to be a little wider to stop the floor by the shower getting quite wet. The beds were very large and comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was part of the deal and we enjoyed it a lot. Friendly staff in reception, the bar and the breakfast room. Gluten free bread/toast was available. We were visiting for a funeral and the bar staff were great about allowing us to sit in there after the bar closed.

Good choice in the restaurant for dinner. Very friendly bar staff and waiters. Good choice of breakfast (extra cost) and delicious! Lovely bathroom in our room, shower worked well with plenty of hot water. Towels nice and soft. Good tea/coffee tray and toiletries. Ironing board/iron and hairdryer supplied (not used). Able to park for free and allowed to leave our car in car park after checking out, as attending an event at the University, so we could save time and walk there instead of driving to park elsewhere.

Had to move rooms on check-in as we were given a twin and not a standard double as booked. Daughter then ended up a long way from us at other end of long winding corridor, but was fine and loved her small but comfy double! The double we had was nice and large room with a lovely bathroom but bed was 2 single beds pushed together, so a bit disappointing. TV in odd place in room.

We were in Leicester for the comedy festival and it was only a 10-15 minute walk to the venues - Really nice breakfast, with full English and continental options available - Our room (115) was a good size with a comfy bed. The thick curtains blocked out all light, and the temperature in the room was comfortable

- A lot of noise could be heard from out on the street and inside the hotel. I was woken up several times throughout the night due to people talking and then getting ready early in the morning. It also sounds like there are a lot of creaky floorboards out on the hallways, which made it sound like someone was walking around our room during the night.

The hotel was in an ideal spot for us and offered all we were looking for. There's plenty of parking and the room was a great size and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the linen of good quality and clean. The decor is a little dated however this didn't affect our stay at all; we found it endearing. The staff were really friendly and welcoming when we arrived, and later in the evening when I was looking for decaffeinated tea. We stopped at the bar for a drink before bed, and the bar staff were really lovely. Breakfast was good and there were plenty of options, however if a member of staff is going to serve you from what looks like a self serve table, why not just plate it up in the kitchen to order?

Only a couple of minor quibbles. The walls are very, very thin, so we heard the room next to ours clearly, both before we went out for the evening and when they returned in the early hours of the morning. There was no decaffeinated tea in the room with the kettle etc, and when i asked at reception they had none either, so if like me, your a decaf tea drinker, it might be worth popping some tea bags in you overnight bag.

We received a free upgrade on our room which was very much appreciated. Loads of space and comfortable furnishings. Bathroom was really nice, especially liked the low level lighting that could be used at night! Reception staff were really friendly and helpful. Lovely facilities within the hotel and brilliant location to the town centre and De Montford Hall

Breakfast was a bit chaotic with the hostess station being located directly next to the food causing pile ups of people. Heard a few staff members being annoyed with guests for not 'checking into' breakfast, but due to the location of everything and there not always being a staff member present, it was quite confusing and staff shouldn't have taken this out on guests.

Stayed for our daughter’s graduation, had an evening meal in the restaurant. The staff were outstanding, especially the waiter for our evening meal, nothing was too much trouble. So attentive, made a small plate meal for my 82 year old dad bespoke for him, and then presented our daughter with a congratulations desert. Friendly and attentive, outstanding and very much appreciated Breakfast was very busy, but the staff remained calm and went above and beyond to get everyone served in a timely manner when they were clearly up against it, well done

Couldn’t fault the place, very good

myself and my wife stayed overnight at the Belmont as we were attending a function at the De Montfort Hall. We were greeted by very professional staff in all areas. Upon entering our room we were blown away by the size, facilities and cleanliness. We stayed for breakfast the next morning before checking out and was overwhelmed by the choice and quality of the food. This is somewhere we have spoken about with friends and family and will no doubt stay here again!!

There is nothing to comment here as we couldn't find any faults

Our room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre, along a leafy pedestrianised lane. What impressed us most about the hotel, was the staff. From the girls on reception, the chambermaids and the dining room staff, every one of them went above and beyond our expectations. We felt we received excellent service during our stay. It was a great breakfast too!

Our room, although comfortable and with everything in working order, just felt as though it would benefit from a little updating.
