Couldn’t get out of the hotel as door was locked even thought it said it would open at 7 and we tried to leave at 7:45. Was almost late for work. We also called both numbers provided with no answer and no staff to be seen.

Our room was absolutely massive. It could easily be a family room if you turn little sitting area into sofa bed room. Bed was also comfortable even though in the middle of city centre the noise didn’t bother us at all.

It’s not that I didn’t like but more convenient would be little fridge up on the table instead underneath table and like small things like more coffee and tea and bottle of water in the room. Little things make your stay more enjoyable 🙂

Great location, right in the heart of the city centre with easy access to all shops and mall

Staff’s answer from night time shift - it was raining really bad when we returned to the hotel in the morning - around 6am. Called reception to ask for a hairdryer - was told i can only get it in the morning. I had to sleep with my hair quite wet which i absolutely hate as i wear long hair extensions. In the morning, the daytime shift receptionist got me the hairdryer in 15 seconds from a storage room situated on the same floor with the room we booked. It was therefore bad willing and laziness from the nighttime receptionist, who simply did not want to move to go and bring it to me

Good budget hotel ,located overlooking high cross square , within walking distance of the Cathedral and Richard 3rd centre. Within 5 metres of a Wetherspoon pub for a great breakfast at cheap prices and good beer. Room was very clean plenty of hot water in shower.

Don't know if breakfast was provided as no-one mentioned it. Recommend High Cross pub adjacent for breakfast. Bed was OK but the pillows were not so comfortable, need lessons from Premier Inn!

Ive travelled all over the country on business and at leisure, and when on a leisure trip, i like to stay somewhere that’s a little more than average. The Villare did not disappoint. Id read the trip advisor reviews after booking this hotel, and had a mild panic, but not one to really care about other people’s opinions, i went in with open eyes. The main feature for me was location and somewhere to lay my head. For the cost, i considered myself as having a little bargaining power if the room wasn’t satisfactory. Some of the past reviews stated that its right above the main taxi rank, and was fraught with noise. I parked in the shopping centre car park round the corner, as advised and made my way over to the hotel. (Look for exit signs for the mini golf or st. peters square). I got the lift up to reception which is located on the top floor, in a spacious bar with a balcony overlooking the big wheel and Christmas market. I asked if iI could have a room at the rear of the hotel, just in case the noise got out of hand, but my love of people watching after a few beers in the bar later that evening made me regret that decision. No trouble, mainly students wandering back to their accommodation. The Room was large and more than adequate for my needs, with a large bathroom with shower. The heating was good and even in the cold weather with the window open i was very comfortable. There were a couple of small details with the room that could have been improved upon, one minor maintenance issue with the shower head having a little leak, that i forgot to mention. That shows how minor it was. The other is that the pillows weren’t to my liking, as i like a soft but supportive pillow, and the ones in the room were very firm, this is totally subjective to me, but on mentioning I recommended some firm box pillows as an alternative and was advised that this was being looked at. I had drinks in the roof bar, and after 10 this is for patrons only, so had the place to myself.

Pillows could be more universal and the bar could be marketed a bit more for not only the patrons, but as a place to have pre drinks as it has fantastic views and a lot of potential.

Spacious room with a decent bathroom and a comfy bed. Nice to have the option of a fridge too. Location was very handy close to shopping district and main tourist attractions and in a lovely open square.

No issue with room but just to be aware it's over the road from a Wetherspoons that was chucking tons of glass around at 4-5am! Bit of a surprise wakeup call but absolutely not the hotels fault... Just something to be mindful of if you're on that side of the building!

The location was a bit difficult to find but we got there in the end the view was nice

The outside on the balcony the decking needs up grading as bit unsafe. The air-conditioning could do with being a bit mors colder as it was very worm as we could only open one window cos we both suffer with skin condition other than that everythink else was to standards.

The bed was very comfortable. The room was decorated very well. There was a fridge. Safe. Telephone and plenty of tea and coffee. Large flat screen television. Double shower plenty of hot water. Extremely clean. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and always smiled. Very friendly.

Noise from outside because there are restaurants and bars in the area but also useful. It's a busy area and to be expected.

Excellent location. Discounted overnight parking from £20 to £6! Not on site tho. Best night sleep ever! Bed was so comfy! Lovely room with balcony.

If I’m being picky The Lift is extremely slow and the Tv remote either needs new batteries or replacing (temperamental) lots of cigarette butts on/in the decking. NONE of this affected our stay.

Firstly the location was perfect. Room was a good size, comfortable bed, clean and today.

Couldn’t hear any noise from outside the hotel which was a bonus but quite a lot of noise from inside from other guests. Doors slamming shut and walls are quite thin so could hear tvs and people snoring. Will bring my earplugs for out next booking 😁
