all the staff were really lovely my room was large warm and with a 46 inch smart tv that had all the channels you tube etc didn't have the breakfast but it looked good the restaurant and lounge all looked freshly decorated and modern, I have no problem in recommending the Regency for your stay

shame that there was no evening meal available, outside paintwork could do with a freshen up as the inside is really good

Nice comfortable period building, clean and smart. Staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient.

My only gripe were the fixtures and fittings...they seem to have been on an economy drive. There were no bedside tables, just a mini shelf for a smartphone. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I have book, reading glasses, bottle of water...all on the floor. There was no desk or indeed any flat surface were you could use a laptop or write something. The shower head would not stay in place, and then it fell to pieces. Basically it seemed like a good room ruined by skimping on the accessories.

Place looked slightly run-down on approach but the room was newly-refurbished and stylish. Warm, everything clean, full set of towels, a decent TV, USB charging and phone/watch/glasses ledge by the bed and a nice bathroom with soap, shampoo and shower gel dispensers. Handy for the Great Central Railway and a short walk to the town centre. Surprisingly quiet overnight for being on a main road, not noticeable until about 8.30. Basic tea/coffee facilities but only what I would expect for the price. Can't comment on food/drink as I didn't have any.

No opening window near the bed, only at the other end of the room (I like fresh air at night) and the bedside lamp was a little low for reading in bed. Nowhere to hang a coat.

We stayed with our kids and dog and the space was fantastic, very clean and furnished nicely. The staff were brilliant and so helpful when we wanted the kids bed made a bit more comfortable with some added mattress toppers. Walls quite thin, but the adjoining neighbour was very friendly and turned down the tv when we asked. It is quite bright in the room at night time due to the fire exit sign which illuminates green, so bring an eye mask if you like it pitch dark! Very clean and couldn't fault it. Lovely breakfast and great location. Would definitely recommend.

Because of a burst pipe putting some rooms at the Charnwood out of action, we stayed at Buckleigh Court. This was very good but some distance from our preferred location. However, we were very impressed by how well the change of accommodation was handled by the Charnwood and would like to thank those concerned in making arrangements for a more expensive alternative at no cost to us. We will certainly look to stay at the Charnwood if we visit Loughborough again.

The staff were lovely and I felt comfortable immediately. The room is well kitted out, with everything you need as well as a tv that is simple to use and log in to your accounts on. Cute little bar too, that we used before heading to an event. Close to station- 5 minutes Uber.

If I had to improve something it would be the shower, it is very weak. I found I had to shower much longer than usual to wash my hair and it was more effort than usually needed. I’m also quite sensitive to noise and soemtimes even with ear plugs the road noise did make it tricky to sleep.

Comfortable bed, decent shower, fluffy towels and good to have a car park on site too. Good location, near the local venue where we were working. Excellent breakfast, with plenty of choice for cooked and continental options. Friendly staff, especially the main chef, and all staff we met were helpful, polite and cheerful. Overall, very clean and tidy, and an attractive building too. We would stay again.

Breakfast service slow one morning and we had to cancel our order (but had we told the staff we were in a hurry, they would have prioritised us). Position of our downstairs room right next to dining room meant we were woken in the morning as soon as people started eating breakfast.

The breakfast was great and the room was a great size. Being able to park directly out side of the room was a bonus with the staff being very friendly and helpful.

the only let down was heating, one of the radiators needs bleeding. Due to the size of the room it needed both radiators be running. Also could have done with a small fridge.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of town on Leicester Road. It was easy to find with good travel links. The Skyline bus ran past every 20mins or so and it was a 20 min walk to the station. We were warmly greeted and our family room was clean and tidy. The bathroom had a large shower.

The 3rd bed could have been a bit bigger as my daughter (13) could hardly fit on it.

small accessible place near town ,quiet and clean,very helpful staff.

property was cold for me but staff immediately gave me a portable heater which was greatly appreciated.you can get your own food from outside that they would heat for you if\cleaning and replenishing of coffee etc was not done.
