Clean and comfortable room with everything I needed. Very friendly, helpful husband and wife owners who did check in and breakfast (and probably everything else!). Excellent, good value breakfast with everything provided to set you up for the day. Good location a few minutes walk from the Great Central Railway station and near to a BP garage shop, Tesco express, Chinese takeaway and a fish and chip shop. The property has its own Thai restaurant, but I was unable to use this on this occasion.

The bar type stool in the room - a proper chair in the room would be far more preferable. I also think the owners could do themselves a favour by promoting their restaurant more - why not have a menu in each room? - this needn’t be a big, glossy affair, but could be a simple typed and photocopied document giving all the information.

Budget friendly, small, welcoming, family run, independent guest house. The bonuses are that it has a lovely Thai restaurant on site,  (takeaway too) with extremely good value bar prices.  Full breakfast is available, which must be pre booked the evening before. There is also a range of holistic  treatments on offer. I had an amazing  1hr 30 mins Thai massage from Susanne, special offer, for £70, which I recommend booking ahead for. Residents of the hotel can book sauna and steam room at a special guest rate, but both therapies and spa are available for non residents to book. If you like a great deal and like to support small businesses, this is worth a visit. Our small room was good value for money, especially as we had booked way in advance and was full due to graduation season. A nice stop over on our journey to Leeds They also gave us a late check out on the house, so thanks!

All good, but a curtain to cover the alcove where the attic window was would be great, as the daylight woke me about 4.30 am. A besdide lamp would be lovely.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Even going to lengths to lend me a phone charger when they discovered I had forgotten mine. They were really welcoming and made us all feel right at home and gave very useful directions too. The decor downstairs was lovely. The bedrooms were both plain white. A little dated but did exactly as we needed. It was the hottest day of the year and the rooms were extremely hot. In the attic room we had a fan, but in the room on the first floor they had to rely on windows which didn't create much of a breeze. The location is fabulous. Within walking distance of the centre and a Tesco express. We stayed here before doing a day spa trip to Ragdale Hall Spa and the location was perfect for us to arrive at the spa on time. Only 15 minutes drive away.

The owners & staff were very helpful & friendly. The decor of the reception was amazing. The cooked breakfast was very nice. Having a car park is very useful. I liked the lights & decor of the headboard area in the bedroom. The massage was good.

Not the best for disability. A number of stairs to rooms & massage treatment rooms. No lift. The toilet in the room could have been cleaner. The walls in the bedroom could benefit from pictures. A small table & comfy chair in the bedroom would be nice.

Great Location for our stay. Private Parking right outside Hotel. We were attending Download Festival and needed to stay close by to the Festival for ease of travel. Hotel was very clean amd inviting. All the staff were wonderful, answered all our questions and made our stay very relaxed and enjoyable. Rooms were spacious, tea and coffee making facilities, with towels, toiletries and a TV with freeview. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked to come stay again in June 2025 before/after Download Festival once again. Thank you 😊

Very friendly, accommodating staff. Really clean everywhere and loved the added bonus of the spa and massage, which was a reasonable price. Great room, spacious for the three of us, shower was good, and tea/coffee facilities available. Bar was small and friendly, just what you want from a family run guesthouse. Food was extremely tasty and something for everyone. We were made welcome from the moment we arrived until we left. We will definitely book again on our next visit to Loughborough.

The shelf above the sink in the bathroom could be in a different place as a bit annoying when you clean your teeth and knock your head on it. A bedside lamp would have been useful, too.

Friendly and helpful welcome shown to our room advice given regarding facilities and access to local town. Very clean and could see owners care about their guests. Required to complete breakfast order evening before, we did not do this so everything was put away however breakfast was kindly offered and made despite this and nothing too much trouble.

Decor could do with an uplift in the rooms such as lampshades, sealant around shower and plug sockets.

I visited for 1 night with my 2 sons. The owner himself was very welcoming and chatty. We also briefly met other staff members, all absolutely lovely! The bar was a great place to unwind at the end of a busy day. My sons enjoyed watching a basketball game on the lage TV. We really enjoyed our breakfast, especially the Thai option! We had some time on the morning of checkout and so used the spa facilities which were reasonably priced.

Would have been nice if jacuzzi was working. Some aroma oils in the steam room would also be a nice touch. Other than that, nothing to complain about. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back 😊

The location was perfect for my visit. The staff were very welcoming and friendly; the room and importantly the bed were comfortable. The large screen TV and the wide choice of programmes plus the quality of the WiFi were much appreciated. If I have occasion to be in Loughborough again I would return. And perhaps allow time to sample the Spa facilities.

It's easy to gripe about really minor matters, but in truth there was nothing that I would report.

The bed was so comfortable. Room was basic but had everything needed. The staff were lovely and helpful and the breakfast was lovely.

There was no plug in the bathroom sink, and the shower didn't have the right fitting to move the shower head properly. Would have been good to have a hairdryer. Towels weren't all clean. I had to ask for a clean one when given more towels.
