Excellent location, stunning views, delightful staff and a good restaurant. My single room was compact but clean, warm and comfortable. The restaurant had plenty of choice. The staff are working very hard to make this old hotel a success. It is not cheap but Scotland is expensive and the Highlands even more so. Good value compared to many others up here. A lot of guests only stay one night on way to/from ferry - that quick turnover is a big expense for the hotel - and Morar merits a longer stay.

A couple of maintenance items in the room but nothing major.

Fabulous location and view, exceeding expectation (which I've had for a long time). Generously late breakfast and check-out times appreciated - I'm not an early-morning person unless I have to be! Dinner quite expensive as the only option, but very good quality, fully justifying the price. Service helpful and charming.

Closing the bar at 10pm is early - back to the 1970s! 11pm closing would be more like it (not later). Also the option of a less expensive, simpler bar-meal menu for dinner would be welcome - after a long day out, you don't always feel like a serious dinner menu, however good the quality (which yours is). Then again, I can see the hotel is short of bar/foyer space.

room view was great, staff were great . we ate in the bar at night and the food was outstanding. the breakfast ristorante was superb as was the cooked breakfast. compliments to the chef!!!

the room was cold. the heating couldn't be adjusted by us.im sure if we had asked they would have tuned it up for us as the staff were so helpful. they could do with a plain shelf in the bathroom for a toilet bag to sit on. the bar was pricey £12 for 2 pints. . as was the food, £20 for steak pie is too much. also. my wife went down to get a last drink before the bar shut and was told it was closed at 21.50hrs. it was advertised to close at 22.00 hrs. a minor complaint . the walls are very thin... we could here everything from other rooms including a couple who had asked to change to a double instead of a twin.... which they made the most of!!

Spent several nights in this lovely hotel. The location is stunning in a lovely quiet village. Perfectly situated to explore the Arisaig coast. Beautiful views from my room out towards the Isle of Rum. Also sea views from the hotel terrace. The food in the evening was restaurant quality, they obviously have a great chef. I recommend the herb crusted salmon, it was delicious. Rooms are basic but well equipped. Staff were very friendly, Tuan and Akram looked after me very well. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Location was amazing. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and made for a very relaxing experience. One of the highlights of our trip was watching the beautiful sunset from the terrace — it was absolutely stunning. The food was fantastic as well, especially the Sri Lankan curry, which quickly became our favorite. A special mention to Akram and Tuan, who were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality made us feel truly welcome. We would definitely love to come back!

The location was absolutely beautiful! They were improving the hotel on the outside but that didn’t stop the absolutely stunning views of the white sandy bay outside. Absolutely mesmerising. The hotel was very clean and the food was good! The breakfast had the usual English breakfast and continental. You could tell the hotel was old but it was comfortable.

The restaurant prices were way to high for the value but it’s understandable since it’s a remote location. The breakfast could do with a bit more fruit or pastries.

I stayed here only one night in November and everything went well, the hotel is gorgeous, has a huge balcony and it is right across the street from the train station. I travelled solo, stopped here on my way from Inverness to Glasgow and quite enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and lovely, very comfy, you could set the heating to whatever temperature you like which is convenient and it was quiet so I got a good night's rest. I met a few people working at reception, they were all so nice and friendly, they gave me information on the town and the beach, they gave the place a good and pleasant vibe. They kept my luggage safe after check out, because my train was leaving later in the afternoon, so I went for a walk in the meantime. Overall, a lovely experience and I would stay here again.

The beach is a bit further away than I thought, but i didn't do any research beforehand so that's on me. I was also without a car and stayed here in late fall which probably means less busses as well. I didn't mind the walk at all, I am just sharing info so that people can better prepare and take maybe this into consideration as well. Anyway, I loved my stay here.

The hotel was in a lovely location with lovely views. If wanted to take a train, then the station was just across the road. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and sought to help whenever they could. We really like that the staff was a really good team and worked for each other too.

there was no lift - understandable considering it's an old building. Without asking, we were offered help with luggage, both on arrival and on departure,

This is one of the best locations in the world. Paradise white beaches, no litter, no shops etc, nothing except fabulous sand and seas and the beautiful, accessible Scottish mountains and countryside. Eagles, buzzards, little birds everywhere. Great walking. Steam trains. Perfect and quiet. Hardly saw another car on good tarmac for hundreds of miles. Loch Morar at one side 12 miles long lake, the river Morar, and out the bedroom window is the sea !! So splendid you will not believe it till you see it. The Scottish Highlands in all their glory! It's a dream come true. Everyday a fab view from our window. Bluebells, deer. Lovely. Staff were lovely. Very helpful. Very attentive. Came back to you throughout a meal with more drinks and food. Nothing was too much for them. Loved the peace and tranquility both day and night. Noooo passing traffic. The large choice of dinner meals was amazing. The cooking was excellent. Breakfast was very good. Superb food all round. Fast service. Lovely meals. Some good wine, some ok wine.

Our room was small with a big bed in, so not a lot to walk about in. No bath tub as we hoped. Only a gentle shower. No lift. It was only a three star hotel tho and very economical. TV wasn't going to let us watch anything. A tad out of date for apps. Some small things didn't work like the towel rail did not get warm. It was not the end of the world but it was the beginning of heaven. All this beauty. It was a heavenly location. Lounge seating not very comfy for the days when it rained very hard and we had to stay in. But the smiling happy staff were always there when you wanted them. Always.

The Morar Hotel was spotlessly clean, with comfy beds and a great walk in shower. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Food was very good and service in the restaurant was exemplary. The hotel is very handy for the railway station and has magnificent views of the islands of Rum and Eigg and the famous silver sands of Morar. There are lots of other interesting places and beautiful beaches in the area, easily accessible by public transport as well as by car.
