The location was great, just off the Skye Bridge in Kyleakin, close to restaurants and a pub. It's a lovely little town with an old castle ruin nearby. Our room had bunk beds, which wasn't the best situation for us, but we knew it was a hostel so we expected that bunk beds were a possibility. The beds were very comfortable and we were on the first floor which was very convenient, and there was onsite parking. We didn't use the common area fridge or microwave but it was there if we had needed it. The staff were very friendly. Our shower was good (hot) too and there was a sink in the room.
It was a surprise to us that our shower and toilet/sink were not in our room but were in separate locations across the hall, so using these was a little inconvenient, especially at night. The shower was in one room, while the toilet and sink were in a separate room. It was private though and only for our use and accessible only with our room card. As a hostel, this is probably a normal set-up but was a different experience for us. The carpet in our room wasn't very clean and I would suggest replacing it with a washable vinyl floor in the future.

What's not to like, The staff were friendly and very accommodating ( I changed my travel companions 3 times with no problem). The room was a double bunk, quite spacious with plenty of plug sockets, a sink, 2 chairs and storage. Saucy Mary's restaurant was amazing, I had the fisherman's catch and it was delicious 😋. I had a private toilet and a separate private shower room 🚿 , both clean and tidy. Checking in was easy, as was checking out. I didn't have a sea view on this stay, but woke up to birdsong and greenery, so it was lovely. The views outside Saucy Mary's are stunning . I will be back again ☺️
Nothing. Even with a rainy 🌧 weekend my stay was amazing

Room exceptionally clean and an outstanding bathroom/shower with lots of hot water. Very comfortable bed. Staff very helpful and friendly. I checked in later than usual but all went smoothly with text messages to arrange things. I did not book with breakfast as I had an early start and breakfasted elsewhere. I only stayed the one night. Great views across the Loch and only a 5-7 minute taxi ride from Kyle of Lochalsh. It would have been an easy walk over the bridge from Kyle of Lochalsh (probably about 30 - 45 minutes), but I had some luggage; hence the taxi ride.
Nothing to comment on at all.

After reading negative reviews, I was a bit worried, but it was the cheapest accommodation on the island, so I decided to give it a try. And it completely exceeded my expectations! The receptionist was very kind, friendly, and helpful, and I’m mainly leaving this review because he truly deserves it. It's nice to meet someone who enjoys their job, and you know you can always turn to him (even for local tips). We got a free upgrade to a room with a private bathroom, which was a pleasant surprise. Our room was clean and comfortable. There were no issues with staying there with dogs. The parking lot was large and right next to the hotel. We didn’t try the kitchen or restaurant, so I can’t comment on those.

The Location was great and we asked for a waterfront room and got one. The kitchen facilities were limited but had what we needed. It was also easy to find.
What wasn't explained was that a waterfront room would be up 2 flights of stairs and that the kitchen was in another building. For $256.00 AUD this was not value for money for 1 night. For that amount we would normally stay in a resort in Australia so we did not think it was value for money. But when looking for accommodation it was one of the cheapest I could find.

I was traveling up from England and I arrived very late into the Isle of Skye just before 12:00am. The staff we're amazing with putting my room card in a safe box for me on arrival. If you are getting into the Isle of Skye late like me just send them an email and they will organize everything for you. The location is amazing with being right next to the bridge and there are local bus stops near by if you are not driving. Overall the stay was wonderful and smooth. Plus if you are hungry there is a restaurant attached onto the hostel with a great dinner menu!! x
The only downside was I wish there were more showers and bathrooms. But I understand as it would only be very busy coming into the summer period and then it would die off again. Overall no complaints it is a great place to stay when traveling around the Isle of Skye!! x

Location excellent. Great staff and very clean and comfy. This is a hostel, so don't expect frills and luxury, it's basic, but very clean and comfortable. Cheapest place to stay on Skye, which has become exceptionally expensive for accommodation. You can help yourself to free tea and coffee as you please which is a major bonus and a welcoming, hospitable touch. Great stay and highly recommend it for budget travel.

great location, friendly helpful staff, great sea view from the window....good vibe in the bar. Food was very good quality...if a little pricey...we've been here three times before and will come back
OK so the tv in our room didn't work...not tuned in ...but we had our phones to watch stuff so didn't bother us too much. There was also a very sharp carpet strip that could have cut someone's foot....taped over but had come up again....

Room 102 had its own ensuite. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. New towels and toiletries included. Showers temp and pressure all okay. You could hear people walking down the halls and doors being closed but other than that it was very quiet overnight. The young man at reception was very welcoming.
One of the more expensive places during our Scotland travels - but comparable to everything else on the Isle of Skye

A warm greeting at reception, staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and plenty space for all our gear as we were on motorbike. Facilities in the room were perfect, coffee making and ensuite. Location was perfect beautiful view of the Skye bridge and surroundings. Had breakfast both mornings and a meal for 15 of us on the Saturday night, fantastic food, service is superb. Not overpriced. I feel based on our experience ,the rating is on the low side it deserves more.
