Everything exceeds expectation! This is a friendly and cozy hotel. Every staff in the hotel is very very nice and supportive. The room enjoys peaceful lake view. I will definitely come back again!

Breakfast was very good. Also the vibe of the bar at night was excellent - it is great that locals come in to drink at the bar and have dinner at the restaurant. It made the environment a fun and happening place to be in. The staff were excellent. Glen, the manager, Douggie, the chef, went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The chef's Cullen Skink recipe was excellent. The location was ideal, and the immediate environment next to Loch Duich provided stunning scenery.
The day was particularly hot and this was a top floor room with the sun pouring in (which would normally be wonderful) that had no air conditioning and no fan.

Location and views around the lodge were good. Bar staff and drinks were great. Our room was ok. Did book a mobility room by mistake . Was spacious though with a garden view. Loved the breakfast though.
The room needed alot of attention- the tea box was broken and we had difficultyopening it.. Sink was uncomfortable- too low- I thing it was aimed for a wheelchair user but it was very small. Not much space for putting your toiletries. Staff could have been a bit more friendly and informative(the staff behind the bar was great) Food menu was not explained and not much interaction with staff. The bed was uncomfortable too.

The hotel is formally a shooting lodge on the shore of Loch Duich, so right on the Kyle of Lochalsh road and very easy to find. Large car park. Great pub food in the restaurant/bar. Super friendly staff (who were under pressure as 24 guests had arrived without a booking to eat!) who were very helpful and efficient. Lady owner/manager was friendly and chatty. We talked about the cute feral goats that roam the area. There’s a nice walk close to the loch from the car park, no roads involved so safe. We had a view of the loch which was nice and unexpected. Room had kettle and tea/coffee facilities. There’s a lovely lounge to sit in at the other end of the building after dinner with views of the loch and hotel garden. Would stay again, very good.
Only gripe was in this hot weather there was a super cosy duvet on the bed, however it was so warm in the night, and no sheet was provided, that we had to strip the duvet out of its cover in the middle of the night and just use the duvet cover on top of us! So a flat sheet on the bed in warmer weather might be sensible xx

used as an overnight stop during a motorcycle tour. It had been raining hard, so having access to a drying room was welcome. The host knew our need when we turned up, it was made available without asking! A nice bar/restaurant area. Great views from breakfast room and a small lounge area. The rooms were small but clean and well presented. Good food. the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The weather was not kind to us, but the views on a clear day would be fantastic.
the car park faces a busy road which caused some security concerns. However, all was good and no issues arose. There is CCTV covering the front of the hotel for peace of mind.

I had some issues with the booking. Booking.com was being non-responsive and not helpful at all. But the guy at the reception made my day. He recommended a suitable solution, responded to my request and fears of double payment. He was fabulous. The good rating is because of him. The location was real nice and the reception area is a wonderful place to chill, especially in bad weather
Unfortunately the food did not come up to the expected standard. It sounded good, but then was bland and then the Fish and Chips were undercooked ... we maybe also just ordered the wrong stuff.

The room was very pretty, there had obviously been some recent renovations. Food in the bar was delicious, we had our evening meal there. The staff were really friendly and efficient. Good beer. Lovely spot after a busy day exploring Skye. Beautiful views! Would definitely recommend.
It wasn't very clear where the reception was so we entered through the bar which was fine but when we found the reception the next morning it was beautiful and would have been less chaotic to arrive at. Breakfast was tasty but a little unorganised, the 1 member of staff on duty was rather under pressure and it showed. Ran out of bread by the time we'd turned up and some had to be defrosted.

A pleasant stay on our NC500 road trip. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely big room overlooking the loch, with a nice short walk from the hotel alongside the loch. Nice conservatory/lounge area to sit and read and have a drink. Evening meal was excellent, as was the breakfast which had a more varied choice than we'd found in previous hotels. Would definitely stay again, if we're back in this part of the world.
A lot of noise from the kitchen first thing in the morning (our room was right above). Mainly a door constantly banging - need to repair the door closer!

The warm welcome by the bar/reception. I learned that this place was a shooting range before and is now converted to a Lodge. The common areas still show the history of the place which is positive (but also negative, see below). The staff/team is very close and the host was able to get a chef back into the kitchen after hours to make us a lunch pack for the next day. What a service!
The rooms have been renovated and are fine. But the other areas, bar, entrance, meeting rooms, etc. need a 'fresh-up'. We have booked months in advance and the prices were already high. Must be related to the location because if it is just for the rooms then its a little on the high side.

We stayed here whilst driving the NC500. This was our last hotel on the route and the best! The room was large, clean with a great view of the loch. Sunset from the window was fantastic. The food was excellent, tip: book your table as soon as you can! There was a good selection of local food and the breakfast was great as well. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Point of EV drivers, there is a ChargePoint Scotland opposite. Don't know whether it works as we had enough juice to get back to Inverness.
