I recently stayed at the Duisdale House Hotel in Isleornsay, and I must say, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. My stay in a Standard Room with a queen-size bed and a bathtub was incredibly comfortable. The room was spacious, offering plenty of room for relaxation, and I loved that it was serviced every day, keeping everything tidy and fresh. The hotel also offers private parking, which was very convenient, especially when traveling with my furbaby, REX. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating, making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly – instead of just handing us the room key, the friendly staff (shoutout to the Indian staff!) personally guided us to our room, which made us feel truly welcome. The hotel’s restaurant provided great meals, and I was impressed with the quality of the food. Plus, the added bonus of being able to bring my dog made the experience even more enjoyable. I was also happy to note that there was no additional charge for our pet, despite comments from other reviewers. Overall, I highly recommend Duisdale House Hotel for anyone looking for a charming, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in Isleornsay. Whether you're traveling with pets or on your own, you'll have a fantastic time here.

One downside to the location is that it is in a very remote area. While there is an EV charging spot nearby, I did find it difficult to use due to very poor network services in the area. This made things a bit challenging when it came to navigating or booking things on the go. The hotel’s restaurant provided great meals, though the dinner prices were on the higher side. However, if you're open to a short drive (about 15 –20 minutes), you can find other dining options with more affordable prices.

I come from Fife and this was our first time visiting Skye - why didn't I come before!!. Very good breakfast and staff happy to help with specific requests. The surrounding grounds were pleasing, benches set up to observe the surrounding area. Hotel manager, waitress and the young waiter on our last day were helpful and happy to have a chat.

Potentially no parking spaces, lucky to get the one we did after a day out sightseeing, not in full season but would be a problem in the summer . Evening meal was good but a bit on the expensive side. Need to have a drip cover on the bottom of the shower door - water leaked out and under onto the floor.

Duisdale House Hotel impressed with its large, quiet rooms, comfortable beds, and modern touches, such as a nice modern shower. The peaceful Isle of Skye setting, near the storm beach and woodland, made for a peaceful setting, combined with ample parking, made it a relaxing retreat. Breakfast and dinner were excellent.

Rates were high, though that’s expected on the Isle of Skye in peak August season.

The property was beautifully presented and our cabin was very cosy with lovely decor. The staff were a delight. Welcoming, friendly and the service was outstanding. Special thanks go to Clara who gave us amazing service and the chef who prepared the most delicious meals and was so accommodating to our food allergies and requirements. The whole stay was a highlight of our trip around the UK.

Staff were excellent. The decor was lovely, and the location and scenery were beautiful. The meals were excellent with plenty of choice and food fresh and well presented. Bed was comfortable and room clean.

The tariff for our room was the same as travelling companions. Our room was much smaller, in fact quite pokey compared to theirs. Didn't feel this was equitable. The shower over the bath was awkward to get in and out of. Perhaps a handle on the wall would help. Panel in the wall was not secured and kept falling out.

We had a lovely time at Duisdale House! The hotel is gorgeous, our room was very comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent! Honestly, the food at Duisdale House was the highlight of our stay. Dinner was pricey, but absolutely worth every penny. The raspberry soufflé was drop-dead delicious.

The bed and pillows were a bit hard. The staff seemed a bit spread thin. They provided great service, but things seemed to happen somewhat slowly. I think this was probably due to lots of guests and few staff. The hotel is a bit remote from everything else on the island, but we were able to get around ok via the local bus.

Character property set in lovely grounds. Beautifully decorated bedroom with views. Very large bathroom with separate large stand alone bath, which was tastefully designed, if a bit impractical. Evening meal and breakfast were superb.

Only one small shelf above the bathroom sink for putting your toiletries on. Unfortunately the small corner shower did not have a very powerful flow of water at the time of our stay.

The place was clean, smart, comfortable and warm. The food was good and the staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and very well appointed with tea making facilities etc. The bed was very comfortable.

The annoying hum in our room which when reported to reception was explained as the kitchen fans (below our room). They went off at 9, although they did come back on at 7.30 in the morning. Luckily we were up already.

The welcome from Stefan was really nice and the staff as a whole were very hospitable. Super location, food was excellent

The hotel manager though ( I didn't get his name as he didn't introduce himself) treated us as though we were in a bus party despite paying 400 pounds per night but maybe the heat of the day got to him. T he warm weather didnt suit the hotel facilities and the lack of ac or ventilation in the rooms and restaurant made for an unpleasant experience, more investment needed which based on the room price is needed if the hotel is to thrive

Beds were very comfortable; rooms and bathrooms very clean, modern and well decorated. Very friendly and polite staff. The jacuzzi was closed unfortunately.

The quality and variety of the food can be very much improved considering the category of the hotel, it really did not meet our expectations.
