Staff were amazing, professional and very helpful. Always smiling . The room was fabulous with great views and comfy bed . Perfect for our large dog. Dinner was great too and wine list nice. Lovely location. Would stay again .

The breakfast was very disappointing , massive queues for all aspects of the breakfast as coach loads of people were also staying that night and in the dining room at the same time. We had a ferry to catch and had to leave at 7.30 am sharp so horrified when we got there and 50 people were Aldo queuing for drinks and food !!! Food Also cool due to queueing and length of time it took to get what you wanted. Nearly didn’t bother with any food as time limited for us but overall experience awful compared to the dinner the night before in your bar area.

Very friendly reception and waiting staff! The hotel is not fancy or posh, but is more relaxed and casual. Fantastic sea views from the restaurant and the sea facing rooms. The evening meals were affordable and wholesome. Again nothing fancy, but everything you need after a day out hiking or sight seeing.

Not much to dislike. Very limited parking spaces at the hotel, but the near by Co Op doesnt seem to have any objections to hotel guests parking in their car park overnight. They probably appreciate all the extra business that they must get from the hotel guests.

The location is stunning and right beside a small shopping area with Coop and fuel station. The view from the bedroom was gorgeous and the room had been freshly decorated. The staff were very friendly, especially the 2 guys at the bar. Dinner was lovely and the whole building was comfortable and cosy.

The bar has no view which was disappointing. I think the restaurant has a sea view so will make sure we use it next time. We should have parked the bike at the front door (we were offered) as both mirrors had been pushed fully back in the morning in the car park.

Firstly, management and staff were very professional, courteous, friendly, accommodating and focussed on customer satisfaction. Special mention goes to Jim, Valene and Jin. They are engaging, welcoming and fun to interact with. Rooms are very comfortable, with functional modern bathrooms, ocean views, an inviting bar and lounge area with an excellent selection of drinks and food. The restaurant provides breakfast and evening meals with a great menu. Location works as a gateway enabling access to all points of interest the Isle of Skye has to offer. This accommodation has the added feature of being affordable when compared with the overpriced accommodation one finds when visiting Skye. This accommodation is real value for money. My wife and I would definitely return here in the future.

Intense storm Ashley, first of the season, with wind gusts up to 120 klm’s made our three days travelling around Skye, quite challenging.

Clean and comfortable beds and room. Three beds and large shower. Staff was wonderful and there is a bar on-site and a large gathering room on the first floor. Perfect location for a base to explore Isle of Skye and very reasonably priced!

There are no restaurants nearby. There was a restaurant on-site with limited hours which might be fine for some but our traveling party does our sightseeing late so didn’t work for us. That is not a negative reflection of the property at all. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a room with a sea view - lovely room and great view. Very reasonable price compared to other hotels on the Isle of Skye. Very comfortable. We stayed one night and on the second night there were no rooms available so we stayed at the Backpackers Hostel (which was more expensive than a standard room at the Donollie hotel). We were very glad to go back to the Donollie hotel to stay the third night.

We could hear the floorboards creaking on the floor above - on the first night I thought someone was in our room! It was good that there was a bath mat but short bath rails would be good as well. The restaurant food wasnt great.

meets the standards of a hotel room (lots of space in the room and bathroom), which come with the higher price (compared to eg. hostels and guest rooms)

at arrival, a form needs to be filled with the guest's personal data (including the next destination on the trip), which is a slight nuisance; parking is technically next to the hotel but if full, some improvisation is needed; breakfast fine but not necessarily to everyone's taste; the room had an odd smell

We'd read reviews on this hotel prior to booking, and I have to say they were generally rather disparaging! However, prices on Skye were extremely expensive, and whilst we would have preferred to have stayed more centrally on the island Dunollie's price of £189 for B&B seemed quite reasonable, so despite the reviews we decided we'd book here. We were so pleased with our stay - not a bad word to say, and those who know me would say I'm actually quite exacting in my expectations and judgement! Our room was excellent, the whole hotel was well presented, and the meals were simply brilliant! Completely surpassed our expectations and would definitely stay here again if in the area. I should also say that the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Maybe the hotel has had a recent shake-up!?

My wife would have liked a bath in the room, but apart from that no adverse thoughts at all.

Was pleasantly surprised given some of the reviews on this property. In reality, this was the only vacancy left that fitted the date we needed at the point in travel break on a long journey. We were met with helpful staff. The requests around our needs were met and we were able to get food. The barman was kind enough to charge me for the same price as the meal wanted when they had run out. There were limited gluten free options, but they still managed to come up with something which was tasty. All in all, we were pleased with our stay.

Very warm. A fan would have been great.

New bathroom. Sloping wall curtains neatly held back. Large TV. Comfy bed. Kettle & hairdryer. Towels nicely presented. Handy placement of sockets & light switches. Lovely soap. Communication & checking in/out was simple and efficient - a breeze.

Was never sure if door was locked (turning handle seemed to instantly unlock it) so I didn't feel 100% safe. Other minor things were: Shower screen too short for water spray wetting floor. Could clearly hear any noise from corridor (so could they hear any sound from room?) Only very minimal loo roll was supplied, no spare. Room was cold (but heated up quickly when radiator thermostat was set).
