Wow! What a wonderful view from our huge window. We saw seals in the Loch. Alan was really welcoming and helpful. He also provided the tasty breakfasts brought to our clean, cosy room. Hot shower over a bath if you prefer a long soak. Restful sleep in the large, very comfortable bed. We appreciated being able to warm up food in the microwave and chill drinks in the small fridge. Cutlery and crockery available. Wine glasses and corkscrew provided. A real home from home experience in a great location. Magical memories made at An- Airidh. Thank you to Alan and Alex.

We really enjoyed staying here and found the place very relaxing with fantastic views over the Loch with the ever changing view out of the window. We were made to feel very welcome by Alan who showed us our room and explained things to us and gave us suggestions of places to visit on Skye. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was brought to us in the morning as we had ordered it the night before, where you had a large selection to choose from. Everything was very well organised which we appreciated. The town centre of Portree was either a short drive into the carpark or a 15 minute walk. We did the latter in the evenings to our various booked restaurants as the town does get busy.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights at this B&B while touring the Island of Skye. We had a wonderful time here. Our host, Alan was great. He gave us many suggestions on places to go and see that avoid crowds. The room was great with a very comfortable bed, a wonderful view of the water out the back with comfortable chairs to enjoy the view. Alan brought us our breakfast each morning directly to the room. They were always well prepared and delicious. Katie the Golden Retriever always gave a soulful look out the window every time we came or went. We even got to meet him and give belly rubs on one of the days.

Everything was great!

The room is high quality with a great modern bathroom, the view from our room (7) was breathtaking. It was very clean and the breakfast was very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. Alan is a great host and very open with suggestions. The photo is a view from our room.

For Skye this B&B might be good value for money as Skye is expensive and the quality of the room was high but compared to others in Inverness and Fort William it was way more expensive. That at the others the room was serviced daily but not this one is the reason for a 9 and not a 10. The bathroom had towel warmers so they were always dry but you like someone to clean out the rubbish etc daily.

The location was excellent near to the Centre of Portree, lovely room, comfy bed and clean room with a large TV and amazing views from the room, breakfast cooked to order which was very tasty. Also worth a mention was Alan who was the host, very helpful and informative which came in very useful.

The breakfast is delivered to your room each morning whereas my personal choice would be to sit in a dining room, however this is not a criticism as the breakfast was excellent, as was the owner.

Our host made us feel really welcome, and was there when we arrived. The room we booked had a wonderful view of the bay. One evening, we saw four common bay seals swimming around for about 45 minutes. Facilities in the room include a fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery. On two nights, we decided to warm up ready prepared meals from the Supermarket. This was because on our first night, two of the places we went to turned us away-some hotel restaurants give preference to the hotel guests. Breakfast is freshly prepared and there is a range of very delicious hot food. The porridge was really nice. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom well designed and very clean.

Our stay at An-Airidh Bed & Breakfast Portree was amazing. The location was an easy walk to the town of Portree and all the shops and restaurants. The room was well appointed with a beautiful view of the water. We placed our breakfast order the night before and the next morning Alan brought it pipping hot to our suite. We are avid porridge fans and this was pretty outstanding (a old family recipe). This location was perfect for exploring the beauty of the Isle of Skye.

Most incredible home we ever stayed! Host very kind, with delicious details (like, welcome personalised note, map with the best places to eat, what we prefered for breakfast, places to visit) the room exceptionelly clean, breakfast prepared according to our choices. And the view...... the best view of Portree with no doubt. I didn't want to sleep, just keep on looking through the window all night long. IN-CRE-DI-BLE! To everyone who wants to visit Skye, please DO stay with Alan and Alex

Nothing to improve about the host. Regarding the city of Portree, please be aware that the city is really small and do not have enough restaurants for all the tourists in town. Very dificult to book a table for dinner... but possible :)

Alan couldn’t have been more helpful. He cleaned the room so it would be ready for our early midday arrival, he brought me peppermint tea for our room, he checked to see if we had everything we needed, he brought our ordered breakfast (absolutely delicious) to our room with a smile each morning & he gave us great information about what to do & see nearby. So many little things at this b&b that made our three day stay so much more comfortable & special. Great quiet location from which to explore amazing Skye!

There is nothing to dislike about this gem.

Lovely stay in Portree with such beautiful ocean & Mountain views. Downtown was just a 15 minute walk which we looked forward to each day. Our room was quite spacious & comfortable. Breakfast was very good, arriving at our door each morning. Our host Alan gave us lots of insider hiking/adventure tips that you don’t read about in the travel guides - all so awesome.
