Room was adequate with all required service provisions in working order and clean Buffet Breakfast was good and provided a nice early meal however there was a large touring party at the hotel at the same time so had to compete a bit to be attended to Location was fine for what we needed to start our tour of the island

Only negative was the level of service provided by the staff as we found their attitude fairly abrupt and not very courteous. Menu was fairly expensive and although reasonably good felt that there was a fairly limited option. We had to book a table from a small timetable where we were required to be fitted in around the large touring bus party.

After reading most of the reviews, my expectations weren't high. However, we weren't disappointed, as the rooms were good with clean bathrooms and a quite stable WiFi connection. The breakfast was also nice and had both warm and cold options. Many restaurants were a walking distance away and the view from the street on the bridge of Skye was breathtaking.

We didn't get the spot in the parking on the other side of the building, but were suggested other places where to leave our car, which wasn't too far away from the hotel, but still required all of us to go to be able to take our bags. Not a big issue for our group, but I kept thinking about others who might not be able to make that distance on foot. The price overall was too high for the overall value, but I guess at that time it was a busy period (May bank holidays) and most places had raised their prices, including this.

Neat little room that was fairly quiet despite the place looking rather busy. The staff were happy to help with questions that I had and I’d likely book again in the future when visiting the Isle of Skye as the price was appealing considering the location. One thing though - cleanliness standards seemed on the low side as there was thick dust in the corners of the room, parts of furniture and even the towel rack. My room had definitely been cleaned as the bedding and towels were fresh, which I was happy with, but giving the rooms a deeper clean would really spruce up the overall feel of the place. But as I said, this place was still great value for money and I’d book again.

Perfectly situated on the shore road in Kyleakin with views over Loch Alsh to Kyle on the mainland and of the nearby Skye Bridge. Very pleasant, friendly staff - thank you for making my stay so special. I had a single room with a view out over the Loch. It was compact but had everything I needed for my 2 night stay. Very clean and everything in good condition. Comfortable bed. The room was relatively quiet despite the large bus groups staying in the hotel. Good, self-service breakfast. I came by train from Inverness via Plockton to Kyle and then hopped on a local bus just one stop over the bridge to Kyleakin. The bus stop is just a short walk away from the hotel with services to other parts of the Isle of Skye, Kyle of Lochalsh and also long distance buses to Fort William and Glasgow. Some buses even stop right at Eilean Donan castle - just make sure you keep an eye on the return bus times. Apart from the Hotel bars and restaurant there are a few places locally which you can reach on foot. Important to book in the evening, wherever you choose. Kyleakin is a pretty village with a working harbour and there are castle ruins nearby which you can also visit. Or take a walk along the beach for closer views of the bridge.

We wanted to give 7/10 but decided to give 8, because we want to raise the booking.com rating, 'cause we don't think it's fair :) - Great location, nice view - Price is high, but this is Skye - every accommodation is expensive, so I don't complain about it. - The bathroom was renovated and spotless - Clean room overall

- Yes, it's outdated and needs to freshen up here and there - The bathroom door could not be locked (it was broken) - It was especially noisy from the hallway (Room 101)

It is just opposite the sea with a great sea view. There is a mail box inside the gate for the guests to send post cards!

You'd better drive your own car since the public transportation has a long interval.

The meals were good and plentyful, a good variety of both hot and cold dishes for breakfast and a nice choice of evening meals.

It was probably not the right hotel for us, with us both being in our eighties we found the late evenings to be very noisy with people running up and down the corridor, even had teenagers knocking on our door after ten at night. Perhaps we just chose the wrong week to stay.

Hotel well located . Stayed in single room end of corridor. Bed comfy enough . Staff very friendly and informative. Good cooked breakfast and food from menu very tasty

Hotel needs a bit of upgrade . Old looking carpets, wallpaper and have a bit of old smell as you go through the corridors. My room was a single room . Functional but not beautiful. I stayed 3 nights and never was clean.. therefore any rubbish I had stayed there till I left. Also not enough car parking spaces.

The room was well located overlooking the sea. The bed linen and bathroom were very clean. The dressing table was not correctly fixed together and risked collapsing. Evening meal was excellent. Breakfast, not so good. I believe that the Coach party had helped themselves to pastries to take out and what was left in the Bain Marie was not fresh and little of it. Staff did not seem to be available and there was no food being replenished ( no pastries available in the kitchen apparently).

See above. The receptionist was not very welcoming.

Staff on reception were helpful and efficient but looked a bit over-worked. Staff in restaurant were very young and a bit inexperienced but friendly. Fish and chips for dinner was good but a little expensive Good to see local beers on offer but again a bit expensive Dolphins passed through the channel in front of the hotel!

Room was very hot on arrival - heating on full and window open!
