This was a one night only stay coming from Glasgow with stop offs along the route. We arrived after 10pm however were provided with a code to enter and the area had plenty of parking. The keys are left in the rooms and there is no reception or someone who helps with a check, just the room number and you can enter without issues. The room we had was a family room, 4 single beds, and pushing 2 together to make a double, it was large enough for us, with plenty of space. The small entrance hall had 2 doors, one to the right (the bedroom) and one to the left, which was an area you can place luggage and off that is the bathroom. This guest house does not have a breakfast option however in the room, there is tea, coffee, sugars and a Walkers shortbread for everyone. There is a small fridge that had a small fresh milk and the next morning in the large room with some breakfast snacks for the guests (Cereal, breakfast bars, yoghurt and porridge with fresh milk. This I did not expect, and it was really nice sitting having an actual breakfast when i did not know one was provided. Overall the price was expensive for a night but it is really great what is on offer and the size of the guest house and location is pretty perfect for your adventure around Skye.

We were only sleeping here for one night, we arrived late and left 10am the next day, so there was nothing i did not like, i would only say when packing the car, the door locked on me and i could not get back in, the key also did not work but i think i was just useless at using it :)

The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast items in the room were nice to have when we were on the go. It was easy to find.

The code to open the door did not always work and we were lucky when other guests could hear us or others struggling outside and opened the door. We didn’t see a single staff member while on the premises, which ended up being fine, but if we would have had a need, we had no idea how we would have gotten help. It would have been in close proximity to several restaurants, but we went at the time of year when most were closed- obviously not a fault of the hotel, but if you want more choice during the off-season, you’ll be better off in Portree.

The Isle of Skye Guest House was clean, looked like recent renovations, and had a great smell to it. Although it was contactless check in, it still felt welcoming with nice music playing in the common areas. Comfy chairs in common area that could hold many. Appreciated the small variety of breakfast options.

Stairs for upper levels. Would have been nice to have the common areas a bit warmer. More shelving in bathroom, as there is ample space for it. As well as additional towel rack or hooks.

Very cosy place. We loved it so much we extended another night. We had an upstairs room in the garden room area, very warm, lovely selection of continental breakfast. Really handy location to get to all the sites throughout Isle of Sky. It does say self check in so thats a choice when checking in. Had issues with c/c via booking.com and the staff were helpful over the phone with another option to pay prior to checking in.

Didn’t seem to be a-lot of food options to dine out close by tho we didnt try very hard to find places, so we ate big lunches and brought back snacks for later.

It was lovely! I think anyone who left a bad review for this place needs to get their head checked. Keep in mind, it's Skye prices, but our rooms were spacious, very clean, newly remodeled, no odor. Shower was great. Everything was great, new, comfortable. Granted, it's an old building, so it has it's quirks (old windows, etc.... but it's newly updated, and a short walk to the beach. Perfect little stop on our way back to Edinburgh from Skype. We were very pleased.

The additional breakfast options and small fridge were a bonus. The property also had a lovely big lounge, if you are staying awhile or with other people. The location was perfect for us as there is a bus stop right outside.

The front door was a little difficult to get in. We weren't informed that the handle needed lifting up before pressing down. Lucky some other residents arrived at the same time and gave us this tip. The rooms also have thin walls and we heard our neighbours chats and activities. The bathroom was a little on the small side.

Great spot for a late night arrival on the Isle of Skye. Good sized room, clear instructions for the self check in and nice area to have out in the common areas. Great snacks and light breakfast in the fridge in the room which was really appreciated in the off season when much was closed. There's an Indian restaurant opened late just a few blocks up.

Room was right by the door so If you are a light sleeper you could hear the guests all rushing out to catch the beautifulness of the day.

We had a lovely stay at Isle of Skye Guesthouse as a family of four with two kids. The location is great , right next to the bus stop at the foot of Skye bridge. The rooms were cute and cozy, and we really appreciated the cute touches throughout. The open pantry with cereal was a thoughtful bonus, especially for the kids! The beds were very comfortable, and our host was incredibly kind and hospitable. Highly recommended for a warm and homey stay.

Room was clean and spacious. The fridge was a good extra and the mini breakfast bar options were a nice touch also. Not the four seasons but incredibly good value for the money and would definitely recommend

There seemed to be an issue with the drainage. We were in the annex building and I don't think the plumbing could cope with the extra pressure. Nothing leaked or smelled bad thankfully but the shower water took an age to drain and the toilet system would occasionally back up. Again Nothing leaked unless the shower overflowed but the drainage could definitely do with upgrading.

Excellent location for exploring Skye. I was on an organised 3 day tour and it was convenient for pick up and drop off. No hassle to get in - just used the code - quite like the hands-off approach to be honest after a long day. Room was light and big and airy with nice decor (albeit a little tired in places). Simple Breakfast items were provided (cereals, porridge, cereal bars etc). Bathroom was nice with a good powerful shower which was fab after a long day hiking around Skye. Everything was mostly clean Great to have TV with Netflix available!! Really enjoyed my stay and would come again.

Only issue was that the king bed had a seam down the middle and the two mattresses did come apart a little but I slept on one side. One of the bedside tables was slanting a little bit and might need repair. It is a little outside of Kyleakin so you do need to plan ahead r.e. dinner and food options
