Stayed for 2 nights in one of the ground floor rooms, which was a good size, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great shower with good pressure and plentiful hot water. The house has great views across the water to Portree and the whole establishment has been very tastefully decorated. Great selection at breakfast and lovely dining area. This is a 5-star experience. The rooms are large, with extremely comfortable beds and a bathroom and shower to rival the best spas. Not only is it beautifully decorated in scottish design, but the little things like homemade treats in your room, lovely music, and outstanding views put it up another notch. Truly exceptional and Donal and Barbara could not be more welcoming.

It is a bit windy road at night if you have adult beverages, but Donal and Barbara will ferry you in and out of Portree for a minimal fee.

Such a warm welcome from very friendly hosts who bent over backwards to help us, especially with our car in the snow. A home-from-home experience, very well appointed bedroom tastefully decorated with Harris Tweed, comfy bed, luxury bathroom. Delicious generous breakfast with a wide variety of choice and accommodating our various dietary requirements - also many thoughtful touches, such as cake in the room and sweets/biscuits with a late afternoon cup of tea. Close enough to Portree to be super convenient, just far enough away to have an incredible view over the loch towards the mountains. Thank you so much.

We enjoyed everything about this B&B - the hosts were very welcoming, breakfast was grand and the view is probably the best of any B&B on Skye Island - great location, 10 minutes car ride to Portree at the very center of Skye Island - I highly recommend it !

This B&B had the most beautiful views and cozy atmosphere. It was so nice to come back to a peaceful, comfortable space after being out exploring all day. The hosts were so kind and they served you a delicious hot breakfast each morning. Going on quiet countryside walks in the morning and evenings around the property was one of our favorite things we did. It was conveniently close to Portree and we felt like we could access all Isle of Skye has to offer very easily (if you are traveling by car).

We got drenched walking the Skye trail and got lucky enough to secure a room at Heatherfield House at the last minute. Our hosts were so warm, welcoming, and helpful. The double bedroom was pristine, spacious, and comfortable. The view from the house onto Portree is superb, and breakfast was yummy. A perfect stop!

Beautiful location with stunning views across loch to Portree and beyond to the Old Man of Storr. Lovely hosts. Excellent facilities and immaculate throughout. Quite possibly the best B&B we've stayed in. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Stunning house and location. Hosts were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for me. Possibly the nicest place I’ve stayed while travelling for work.

I liked every thing there was nothing not to like

The location of the place is lovely! It's very closed to Portree but still sits outside of the main town area. You would need to have a car to reach it of course. The hosts are very lovely and provide a good breakfast. There is a separate cozy living room for the guest to use and it has the view of Portree over a body of water. We were warmly received by Barbara and she recommended a few places for good food. She even informed us of the weather the next day so we can put it into our plans. The room itself is very spacious and cozy. The bed is pretty big and it has the same view as the living room. The bathroom is amazing. The shower is multi directional with plenty of hot water and the water pressure is great! There is a 'smart' mirror that can show the time. The heated towel rack provided warmth to the bathroom.

Breakfast portion may be a bit too little and I didn't feel comfortable asking for more food.
