This is a fabulous place! We stayed in the house (or manse as it is called) but there are also separate cabins. The rooms were fantastic and well appointed. The hotel offers a wet and dry sauna to their guests and has a fabulous bar and restaurant just across the parking area in an old renovated church. The property sits within easy walking distance of town and looks out over the water. And Broadford is an excellent stepping off point for Isle of Skye adventuring. This is the place to stay when visiting Skye!

The House of Juniper was updated and modern in a quiet location just outside of town. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and the sauna and steam room were a lovely feature. Having breakfast included was great and the food at the restaurant was excellent. We loved that they featured locally sourced foods and a modern menu. There was obviously great pride and attention to detail from the owners.

The only issue we had was that there was a lack of space in the room for our luggage…only a very small hanging space for clothing and little room to get around the bed.

We enjoyed the location very much. Broadford is quiet little village, not as crowded as Portree, but there are several good options for lunch and dinner, including an excellent restaurant at the House of Juniper. The breakfasts there were excellent. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, with a nice view out toward the loch. The owner, Mike, was very friendly and helpful. The property is quite large, so the setting is quiet and peaceful, and there is plenty of space for parking.

More options could be installed in the room for hanging clothes and towels. It would be good if breakfast could routinely be served earlier than 8.00 am to allow for an early start for trips to other parts of the island. The manager, Chris, seemed rather inflexible about the starting time.

First thing I learned was that in Skye reservations should be booked months before the expected visit. But as usually happens, better discovers born from mistakes. In this way I had the fortune to find this place, absolutely wonderful (seaview very relaxing), and with competent and very kind staff (Cris and Mike, a pleasure to met you). Very interesting the restaurant side the hotel. Unfortunately we had no time to use the spa. My experience was very positive.

Prices in Skye are in general higher than other places in Scotland, but I take into account my booking timing as a factor of increasing. Some informations on booking were not precise (staff agreed with me at first notice)

Our room was modern and had a fireplace with a glowing “fire” that made the room cosy. The king size bed was very comfortable, and the modern rain shower fixture as well as the handheld shower head were great. The view from our room on the 3rd floor was beautiful. Everything was very clean and the staff attentive to all our requests. Their new restaurant, The Sprig, served the best Eggs Benedict I have eaten, and dinner was very good. Wait staff were friendly and the manager very helpful.

The bathroom must have been designed by a man - I would have appreciated having a surface on which to put toiletries, there was space, ditto in the shower. Also the sloping ceiling was a problem in the bathroom being the same color gray as the walls - at least twice I hit my head not noticing it. Perhaps painting it a different color would make it noticeable.

Modern and luxurious accommodations. Our booking in the main house included the use of the dry and wet sauna and the cold plunge! The bed was very comfortable, shower was great! Breakfast was delicious.

The standard king room was very tight with nowhere to unpack from two large suitcases, and no where to keep and easily access our suitcases. Two lounge chairs was a bit too much in the small room as well.

The place is been done very well with good quality furnishings. The sprig has super food and the staff were really friendly . The relaxing area (sauna and steam) is a lovely added touch and it was in a great location.

We initially had an early check for a trip so I asked if it was possible to get a snack made us as we were missing breakfast. The man i spoke to who i think was the manager wasn't very flexible with which was slightly disappointing for the amount that had been paid.

We stayed in the Manse. Very updated and nice renovations, including the dining and outdoor cabins. We learned that this facility does a great job catering to hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts...and has facilities geared to their use. We were much more the driving and sightseeing folks. This means we ended up a bit further down on Skye than we wanted...so it took us a bit to backtrack up north a little. Other than that...great facility.

What you’d expect from a hotel with “luxury” accommodations. Clean rooms, aesthetically pleasing, amazing king sized beds, and various other facilities such as outdoor showers and restaurants. Each room had radiators and windows to regulate temperature. WiFi, once it worked, was fantastic. The free breakfast was also amazing, they had French press coffee and even a vegetarian version of the full English/Scottish breakfast.
