Beautiful rural setting with outdoor seating overlooking the river and hills and yet only a 10 minute drive to Portree and only 5 minutes to Skeabost Hotel for a special dinner! Room 4 probably the biggest with a corner bath and quality shower, good TVs better than the pics! Luxurious towels. Good breakfast fruit, yoghurt, juice, cereals, pastries and once we were offered bacon or egg rolls. Option to eat in the room or dining room or guest lounge. So enjoyed our stay and will return if get the opportunity!

Mattress very soft and needs replacing. Duvet was.too hot for our stay so we removed it and filled the cover with a blanket instead so problem solved.

House on Falls is located in the Scottish countryside, yet conveniently close to Portree. Our room is spacious,clean and comfortable with the nice view. We had the chance to see the very old horses and got a close look at lovely sheep families. The hosts, Donna and Andrew, are kind and accommodating, especially with our early-morning schedule for sunrise. We truly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful Scottish countryside B&B!

Host was friendly, breakfast was delicious - local fresh fruit accompanied continental cereals, home cooked muffins every morning.

While the location was scenic and quiet, it was a fair drive from the town centre down a road reduced to one lane with passing bays. When we visited it was during a cold snap and sadly, the radiators in our room didn't work.

The property is situated in a good area to be able to visit easily the Isle of Sky, take the ferry to Isle of Harris/Lewis. The view and the quietness of the location was just amazing. The breakfast in the morning was just what we needed to get our day started. The host went above and beyond to help my daughter which we are very grateful for!

A little way from the main road but all the more tranquil for it. It is a beautiful location next to a river and so peaceful. Well-appointed property with all that we wanted and central to the visits we wanted to make.

Some other guests were a little too noisy and at times, inconsiderate. No reflection of property or owners at all.

Excellent and quiet location in the countryside, not far from Portree. In spring, when the weather is nice, you can watch sheep and lambs outside the window, better than TV. Cozy and spacious house with well-equipped rooms and bathroom. Breakfast good and sufficient according to your choice. Nice and helpful mrs. Donna.

House on the Falls was the perfect peaceful place to retreat to the Isle of Skye. Donna was a wonderful host! We loved that it was a short drive to Portree, a 20-30 minute drive from most points of interest all over the island, a lovely walk along the falls directly behind the house, a cozy atmosphere in the rooms and shared spaces, with a delicious breakfasts delivered to your door, and sheep & horses to befriend!

What a great find. Donna went above and beyond in making us comfortable and gave us some excellent recommendations of where to go. Fantastic spacious room, delicious continental breakfast and quiet surroundings. It's about 10mins out of Portree but a lovely place to come back to after a days exploring.

Very nice and spacious room, very well decorated, with cattle and wildlife themes. Everything was comfortable. Kettle and fridge available in the room. The self-service breakfast left at the door is a nice concept. Quiet and natural setting, with grass all around the house and outside tables where to enjoy the landscape and the sunset. Centrally located (to the isle), so exploring every corner was convenient, just 15m from Portree.

Maybe having a salty hot option in the breakfast would be nice, and the shower water temperature regulation was a bit annoying. But nothing major really.

Beautiful location. Friendly, very helpful host. Continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Spotlessly clean!

The only issue we had was our mattress. Whilst it is firm and comfortable in the middle, the edges have collapsed, and "dip" and do not naturally keep you on the bed as expected. I actually fell out of bed whilst asleep as I turned over and hit the point where the dip was.
