The house was full of character. Our room was huge , with a big bed, sofa, chair, tv. We didn't have an ensuite, but we had a private bathroom just outside of our room. The room was very clean, and we had complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits . The breakfast was lovely, and so were our hosts. If you stay in the summer there is also a beautiful garden . There's also off-road private parking, which is essential in Nether Stowey. We will definitely stay again. Thank you.

The only thing I could suggest was adding a bottle of water to the tea tray. Everything else was perfect.

Our room was enormous, very comfortable and full of history. It included a sitting area with sofa and table. Excellent breakfast. Beautifully fresh fruit salad with locally produced muesli and perfectly cooked bacon sausage poached eggs etc. Lovely white China and white tablecloths and vases of wild flowers. The garden is absolutely stunning, immaculately well kept and a sun trap. Although the bathroom is separate, it’s not a problem at all as you literally come out of the bedroom door and the bathroom is opposite. A dressing gown is also provided. I would be very happy to stay again or recommend to anyone thinking of booking. Thank you to Manor the host and his wife for a great stay.

What a beautiful find! The Old House is an absolute gem - our room was huge, the gardens were glorious and the breakfast was excellent. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our bed was very big and the pillows really comfy. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was of good quality and well cooked: very tasty.

The only downside was the bathroom being across the hall: this was literally 3 steps from our room, and the bathroom was private to us. A bath robe was supplied for this reason, but as a suggestion, a larger size would be better!

Friendly welcome. Straight forward check-in. Spacious comfortable room with a pleasing view over the courtyard and garden. Attention to detail with furniture throughout really compliments the history of the property. The extensive breakfast menu caters for all. Our English breakfast was great with toast and tea top ups if required. It's difficult to see how anyone could be disappointed with a stay at the Old House.

A lovely spacious and clean large room in a quiet setting. The house itself is full of history and character with many original features. It is well positioned for walks around the Quantock Hills with lovely scenery. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived. There were fresh flowers in the room which were a nice touch. The large private garden was lovely and peaceful with plenty of seating. The breakfast was superb, well cooked with plenty of choices. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Highly recommended

Manor was such a welcoming and helpful host, which made a lovely introduction to the property. Our room was huge, and very elegantly furnished. We had an excellent night’s sleep in a large and comfortable bed, in a wonderfully quiet village. Anne’s garden is so pretty - the perfect spot to sit and read in the sunshine. And her breakfast was superb. We really couldn’t fault The Old House - hope we can think of another reason to visit before too long.

Nothing not to like!

All good - reception, room. breakfast, location, cleanliness and excellent hosts. My best wishes to Manor for a speedy recovery after his operation.

As it was chillier than expected for Sept, I used the small portable heater but it was inadequate for the The Coleridge Room which was really very big (with a separate bathroom). No doubt with the central heating switched on in off season that would warm things up.

We had a fantastic one-night stay at The Old Manor House. Our room was spacious with comfy sofas, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was spotless. Breakfast was delicious, the host was really friendly, and having off-street parking was a bonus. Even in just one night, we felt so welcome—would definitely return!
