This property was not disabled friendly! It is impossible to get to reception without climbing stairs! We found a route with as few a steps as possible from our room to the restaurant or a much longer step free route When I phoned I was told the hotel was suitable for a mobility scooter! The pool is more of a kids splash pool Wedding venue so be prepared for some noise Friday Saturday and Sunday night! We were not really disturbed but other people were The hotel is dog friendly there was a very annoying barking dog on the first evening We had to request getting our safe open several times it wasn't done till the last day The window lock was broken on our window so we felt our things were at risk

I liked the proximity to the event I was attending. The room was clean and well appointed. It was away from the main building and nice and quiet. The shower worked well and the water was hot. The bed was comfortable. Although the hotel was very busy the staff in the restaurant were excellent . The staff in the bar were overwhelmed by the numbers.

I was surprised there was no sitting room for residents to get away from the noisy and not very comfortable bar. The directions to the rooms weren’t very helpful. I was with a group of elderly ladies and it would have been helpful for a member of staff to have walked least halfway.

We stayed at Sedgebrook Hall this weekend as a couple and had an absolutely wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable — they really set the tone with their friendly vibes. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with plenty of tasty options to choose from. We also loved the leisure facilities — having access to the swimming pool and sauna for free at any time was a fantastic bonus! Overall, it was a truly enjoyable stay, and we’re already looking forward to coming back soon. Highly recommend Sedgebrook Hall for anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant getaway!

The staff were exceptional, every staff member we met was helpful and friendly. Food was very good. The dinner, bed and breakfast package was fantastic value for money. Complimentary tea and coffee outside of the room in the communal areas was appreciated. The hotel approach could deceive you into thinking it wasn't as attractive looking as you'd hoped (the sleeping accommodation). Don't let this put you off. The main hotel is impressive and inside has been decorated superbly - well lit corridors take you to the sleeping accommodation. The beds were very comfy.

We asked for rooms next to each other as we were family who hadn't seen each other for years but unfortunately this wasn't accomodated despite saying when we booked that it would be. Most hotels I visit have hairdryers in the room. I appreciate it's not a necessity but appears to be the norm in most hotels, maybe something to look at.

Althorp House is not too far away. Staff at Sedgebrook Hall were very friendly, helpful and very polite. The food was very good, choices, tasty and nice sized plates for dinner. Breakfast was an ok English with some choices of cereals, toast and croissants. Free tea n coffee with some cake or cookies at the back of the bar area is a good thing. Didn't use bar.

Halls and our room are dated. Bed was, for us, too soft and uncomfortable and had broken sleep. Curtain, let's in light in the morning around the edges as not able to go right across, but apart from that room was ok. Gym/fitness room...was very small with very basic equipment, 1 lat pulldown, 1 chest press, 1 shoulder press and 1 leg extension. Some cardio machines. If you stand in the middle of the room with 2 others there, it's busy. The wife used pool, and it is small, but she said its ok. I found the biggest problem was the uncaring room occupants letting the doors slam shut late at night. Some at 1.30am. Maybe put a notice on the actual doors telling people not to let the slam or adjust the doors. Because they do make a bloody loud noise 💥

The variety of food at dinner was nice. Breakfast buffet was good. The jacuzzi and pool were pleasant as well the having a sauna available. Nice to have random snacks out near the bar. The clipper tea selection was amazing. The grounds were nice and you could walk down to the pub at the bottom. Good value hotel break.

The pool needed a little TLC, tiles need repairing, maybe a little clean up. The sauna door was scraping the floor and made a horrendous noise. The changing rooom doors slammed when closing. Changing room locks need updating as they'd often get stuck. Just a general hoover for the cobwebs. From afar everything looks good though. Booking.com need to clarify that half board it only 29 pounds pp allowance towards your meal. It's not truly half board but it's enough for your meal. Pillows were a bit stained.

The building and surroundings were lovely and ideally located to visit the area. A great well served buffet breakfast selection. Good rooms well equipped and great size walk in shower Well priced for what was offered with the option to add a well priced 2 or 3 course dinner

I had mentioned that I was not good with steps. Unfortunately to gain access to most areas of the ground floor - including entry to the building there were a series of steps - at least 5 each time The easiest way was to access rooms etc from the outside which was fine because the weather was ok but no good in the rain. I managed because I can use a stick but no good for walking frames/ wheelchairs. Another slight winged - outside seating was well placed but tables were left littered with coffee mugs, glasses and cigarette ends

Very pleasant and helpful staff, the room was a little outdated in parts and the windows and radiator where dirty which let the room down, my room had a brand new bathroom which was very modern and well equipped, the facilities including the gym where good and pool, but the sauna door was jammed which is very concerning. But in general I enjoyed my stay and I will be back later this year.

A very welcoming atmosphere and terrific food. We were impressed with the dinner menu and, in particular, the desserts, the majority of which were vegan. My wife is lactose intolerant and to have such a selection of desserts she could eat was a treat. Her favourite was the cheesecake! The restaurant staff were also very accommodating to our request for a late breakfast as we were out of the hotel at a local parkrun during normal breakfast hours. Thanks to Helen for organising for us.

A little dated in places but nothing really to complain about.

Breakfast was great, ( self service ) a really good choice on the menu, and the staff kept the tables clean and the food topped up. The room was well lit, with a chair each, and the beds were comfy. The pool and the very bubbly jacuzzi were wonderful and were open till 10 pm. There was a coffee machine available for self service in the bar area which was a defo bonus

The restaurant was only open for breakfast until 9 am Monday till Friday, 10am would have been better, like at the weekend.
