Tinhay Mill was in the perfect location for the end of Stage 4 of our Tamara Way Hike. We arrived a little wet, disheveled and somewhat later than anticipated, after a slightly difficult stage (mainly due to the weather). However, Suzanne took everything in her stride, despite the appearance of 2 muddy, wet strangers at her door!! She couldn't do enough for us and soon made us feel very welcome & comfortable, even switching the heating on for a few hours to warm us up and help dry our clothing & equipment. Suzanne was extremely accommodating in arranging for an earlier breakfast to allow us to set off early the following morning, nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted wonderful, with all sorts of other options available in addition to the cooked breakfast. Suzanne was very friendly and sociable and it was lovely chatting with her. We would fully recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.

A touch of history to the building. A car park. Nice dining room with log burner in a wide chimney space, and a lovely floral china set being used. Cooked breakfast was really fresh and yummy.

My en suite bathroom wasn't a proper room; it was just a platform behind a door, and it seemed to generate strong dissinfectant and drain smells of it's own accord continually, so had to keep door to it firmly closed and the bedroom window open all the time that I was in my room, so that I didn't feel sick or have trouble with breathing at night.

the breakfast was fantastic, perfectly cooked, really really good ingredients. I think it was the best cooked breakfast I ever had. I had different things on the two days we were staying, everything good, even the coffee (and I am very fussy about coffee) the bedroom was nice, bed comfortable, water and tea/coffee things in the room.

all good, if anything it would have been helpful to have a mirror with more light for putting on makeup but that is a very small thing to wish for.

Everything. From the car park to the decor. The location was ideal, only 4.2 miles from where I needed to be. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating; the cooked breakfast (a full English) was cooked to perfection, the bed was large and comfortable, and the room was spacious, quiet, and clean with excellent WiFi.

The lady of the house was wonderful, very friendly and welcoming, apologies for not having her name. The full english was very good, freshly made to order. There are other options including cereals fresh fruit and yoghurts. Free wi-fi as you would expect these days, which worked!

It is what it is, a very pleasant small family run hotel, and it is done beautifully. What's not to like. Thank you

Location was good for my needs. Breakfast was exceptional. The room was lovely and quiet with a very comfortable bed. Plenty of on site parking and Suzanne was a great host. Nothing was too much trouble

Low headroom on the bedroom door, not good at my height but completely understandable considering the age of the building.

Lovely welcome by the charming host. We enjoyed our stay at Tinhay Mill. The spacious accommodation was quiet, and the bed comfortable. We enjoyed the generous breakfast provided.

The only negative comment, which is something that can’t be easily rectified, was that the water pressure in the shower was a little low.

Very welcoming and comfortable place to stay. Really good breakfast made to just the way we like it. We'll certainly come back again. Just a few yards from the local pub which serves a good evening meal and a good pint too!

Stairs to our room were quite steep, a challenge to ageing legs, but it's a very old building, you have to expect these quirks.

The owner was very kind. The room was very spacious, tastefully furnished. The shower room was also very spacious and comfortable. The shower itself was a bit smaller than usual. The breakfast room was also tastefully furnished (for fans of the genre - there were many beautiful antique and vintage objects in the house). Breakfast was excellent.

We loved everything.

Everything is really nice. Suzanne is very friendly and helpful. She knows what's on and can recommend food options in the nearby pubs and restaurants. Will definitely be staying here again if (or when) next in the area.
