The communication of Clare and Kevin and their willingness to make sure we had every comfort we needed for our stay was very much appreciated. The breakfast provided and quality of food is the best I have ever had. Absolutely, my wife and myself were very happy. Thank you Clare and Kevin for giving us the best stay in Penzance.

It’s more about what I liked, lovely people, very caring and take pride in what they do. A home away from home. Thank you.

Breakfast was hearty or light, depending on what you want. You can have continental, toast with spreads, omelettes or full english (or variations of breakfast) to your own preference. Cooked breakfasts between 8-8.45am. Generous juices and hot drinks, plus cereals and yogurts. Claire was front of house, and very welcoming and accommodating and offered a daily refresh of the room if you wanted anything cleaned or tidied. She can give you tips for places to each, she recommended the Mackerel Sky Cafe Bar in nearby Newlyn, which was fabulous (there are 2 of them, several doors apart).

It was a great stay, I don't want to criticise anything. It is great value and not a rip off for out of town visitors, like some places. There are not many rooms, so hopefully the guests around you are considerate and don't make too much noise. We were lucky and I think everyone tried to be quiet to respect others.

Amazing hospitality from Claire and Kevin! I requested an early check-in after a long train journey, and Claire kindly had the room ready for me in no time. The room exceeded my expectations: clean, comfortable and welcoming. The location is ideal, especially if you're using public transport like I was. It's just a short walk to both the train station and the bus stop, which made it really easy to explore places like St Ives and St.Micheal's Mount. Breakfast was delicious and set me up perfectly for the day. I also had the chance to meet other solo travellers and even made a new friend, all thanks to Claire’s warm and welcoming atmosphere. I felt truly looked after throughout my stay. Thank you for making my spontaneous trip to Cornwall so special!

Spent two nights at this amazing B & B. There is onsite parking and is situated just off the A30, a short walk from the station. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. Our superior room had recently been updated - it was spotlessly clean and the huge bed was extremely comfortable! There was a bottle of water on each bedside table and a tray with tea, coffee and biscuits. You could help yourself to a small jug of fresh milk from a mini fridge situated on the landing. All these little extras made our stay very special. Kevin and Claire were excellent hosts. Hope to return one day.

From the warm welcome on arrival to the friendly and caring farewell, Bay Lodge was an excellent stay. Everything was clean, comfortable and warm, with great facilities and a really easy stroll to all the local amenities - including the spectacular seafront with its view of St Michael's Mount. Claire accommodated my needs as an ostomate sensitively and comprehensively. The breakfast was excellent, too. I will certainly return, and have no hesitation in recommending it.

It was tricky to get water into the kettle from the bathroom sink. Perhaps a refillable bottle of tap water could be added to the (otherwise very well stocked) tea tray?

Arrangements were made for my late check in. Fresh milk in the little fridge was a lovely gesture and the biscuits were great after my long train journey. The room was clean and and having a balcony was an added bonus. The breakfasts were delicious. An individual fresh fruit salad followed by a full English made with local produce. Various cereals were also available. Both Clare and Kevin are fabulous hosts. The location to the railway station and shops are ideal.

That I only stayed a couple of nights. Could have easily stayed longer. Felt very at home.

Claire and Kevin were great hosts, giving us tips about local attractions and food options. The breakfast was generous and the fresh fruit was excellent. We loved the fresh milk in the little fridge on the landing for tea in our room. We did ask Claire to take out one chair because we had 2 big cases but the window sill area was great for extra storage. The power point/USB cubes on each bedside table made charging easy. Nice to see St Michael’s Mount out the landing window. Help with our suitcases up the stairs was much appreciated.

It was easy to find. The decoration of the communal areas and also the room was very nice. The view from the hallway is straight towards St Michael’s Mount and lovely. The bed was comfortable. The shower was nice and hot. The breakfast was vast! So many options and well cooked, I left very full and not needing any lunch! The owners are very friendly and it was a warm welcome and breakfast service.

The bed although comfortable but slightly on the narrow side as a small single. The room could easily take 2 slightly bigger single beds. I turned over in bed and knocked things off the table each time. I do move around it bed a lot and am used to bigger bed so maybe just me being awkward. I wouldn’t let this stop me from coming back though. I would definitely recommend 😁

Clare and Kevin set a very high bar in welcoming and then looking after their guests. The breakfast is really a great start to the day and they are a brilliant team, Kevin’s omelettes are to die for, but also the other components and Clare’s attention make this daily experience a bit special. All in all our stay was comfortable and relaxing, just what we wanted, and it’s easy to see why the Bay Lodge has an ever growing number of repeat guests.

Absolutely nothing to complain about at all.

Super convenient location in Penzance overlooking the sea. Very comfortable room . The best breakfast ever - Clare and Kevin have thought of everything - fresh fruit ready prepared, good choice of cooked, real butter in a dish ready to spread (not those awful frozen little packets), lovely range of cereals. Very very good. Tea and coffee freely available at other times with fresh milk also available. We were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble..

I’m struggling to think of anything.
