A pleasant room with the expected sea view. I have stayed at the hotel before, about 10yrs ago. Staff are friendly and helpful in the main. The hotel has a good ambience.

I feel waiting staff at breakfast would benefit from being able to liaise more closely with kitchen staff. It is not good form to present a guest with the hot course of the breakfast when they have barely begun the cereal. I quite understand that the kitchen needs to receive orders for cooked/hot food promptly from waiting staff, especially when the hotel is very busy, as no-one likes to wait overlong for the next course. Whilst I appreciate swift service I do not have the inclination to bolt my cereal rapidly in order to ensure my cooked breakfast is piping hot. One of the waiting staff should be keeping a general eye on how tables are progressing, ready to clear first course dishes preparatory to delivery of the second.

Staff are very friendly, and helpful. I had my dog with you, the evening porter checked in on Bumble when i went out.

Its still needing decorating in parts.

Location of hotel is perfect with a wonderful view. Parking available on first come first serve basis and I had no problem getting a space. Room was small but ideal for one person and was clean and comfortable. Furniture is dated but adequate. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits available and topped up by reception if you ask for more. All staff I met were friendly, polite and appeared happy! With a ready smile and chat! Thank you! We only had breakfast at the hotel and there was a good choice of items available. Table service apart from getting your own cereal and juices when you arrive in dining area.

Some areas of the hotel are now very dated and carpets are worn. A dedicated games room would be nice for those of us who like to sit at a table to play cards and board games.

The location of the hotel is lovely being right on the coast. The meals were good and there was a nice selection of dinners for the evening meal. The room was clean and bright. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was only 1 spare outlet for plugging in electronics in the room, and it was In an awkward position for charging the phone. The wardrobe took up a lot of space next to the bed, so something narrower would be better. The WiFi was a bit spotty in the hotel and dropped frequently while I was using it.

Quirky building. Staff were friendly and very helpful, particularly the receptionist who arranged for our rooms to be changed to be more accessible for one of our party who has mobility issues. The food was good. The rooms at the front of the hotel have a great view. Easy access car park.

Decor of rooms is a little tired although I noticed some parts of the hotel were being redecorated. Used plates from a previous guest had been left in the room. The ramp at the front had a bicycle secured to the railings making wheelchair access a little awkward.

Lovely building from a forgotten era, nice reading rooms to relax in, lifts available. Room has everything you need, breakfast was delicious looking out to sea, it was a stormy morning, waves crashing over the side of the prom. Bed super comfy, would recommend. Parking available at rear of property. Location of hotel excellent for exploring Penzance. Love all the quirky old features like the Bathroom in corridor & old Room Bell Call boxes -fabulous!

Bath mat would hv been useful or extra towel, bath towel very small, shower took little while to get right temp & flow was slow. Strange noise coming through internal wall like vent of sum sort, around 10ish at night & just after 6.30am only for a short time.

The Queens is a lovely Victorian hotel that sits right next to the sea. The beautiful lobby and sitting rooms give the impression of being in 1900. Our room did not have an ocean veiw, but the large dining room and other rooms on the ground floor had large windows for excellent views of the sea. Our room was a bit small, but we expected the size given that this is an old hotel. We assume that en suite facilities were added to the rooms long after the hotel was built. The room furnishings were very nice. The food was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Hotel is a block from a wonderful botanic garden (Morrab Gardens).

Parking spaces are limited and some guests may have to park elsewhere. However, the hotel staff helps guests find a place to park. Somehow, a lot of cars are squeezed into a small area. Although the staff are excellent, the dining waitstaff were overworked. We thought that one or two more waiters/waitresses were needed during dinner and breakfast hours.

This is a lovely, old hotel right on the Promenade. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch drinking a beer and watching people walk along the seafront. All the staff was very nice and helpful. Our room had a great sea view, with two large windows. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large. Breakfast was nice, if a bit slow some days. There are a few restaurants a short walk from the hotel. We loved Gino's Spaghetti House right next to the hotel. We are there three nights in a row! The hotel parking lot is at the rear of the hotel and easy to access. The gals at the front desk were very helpful about carrying our luggage up and down the stairs to the parking lot.

This is an old hotel and thus does not have A/C and the weather was hot in July. The windows would only open a few inches, for safety reasons, so we requested a fan. The fan was small so we were rather warm, but this did not detract from enjoying the stay at the hotel.

The room was very nice. Bed comfortable and the bathroom was really spacious. The breakfast was excellent. The staff on the front desk was pleasant and very helpful.. The hotel in a good location very lovely flower displays

The staff at breakfast time could have been a bit quicker getting your order for food. And maybe have a bit of a warmer welcome not just room number not even a please. Could of done with more staff at breakfast. The breakfast room was the ballroom. Could of done with a bit of a refit. Very dated ceiling tiles not sure they would pass a fire regulations.

Our sea view room was lovely. Comfy beds and great shower. Yummy biscuits in room. Tea and coffee and hot chocolate and toiletries provided. Breakfast was very good and apart from full English, there was kedgeree, egg dishes, pancakes etc. All served by friendly staff. Must mention Sam on reception, who went above and beyond his reception duty. He very kindly brought up a tray of food from the menu to our room. We had got soaked through many times on one particular day and we were so exhausted from walking we couldnt face going out for an evening meal or even going down to the restaurant in the hotel. So I rang reception, and although they had stopped room service a few years before, he delivered a really lovely ham and cheese platter and a side salad and two glasses of wine to our room. Which we were so grateful for, so thank you again Sam. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Only one thing we thought was odd. We stayed for 3 nights and the hotels policy is that they only provide room service on the third day. So I had to ask to have the bins emptied and the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits and toilet rolls replenished. Something I havent had to do before in other hotels we have stayed in.
