As you drive up towards the property, you come up to a Manor House then round the side of it is some bell tents, it was a lovely quiet location, the staff was welcoming and explained everything to us. Even though we stayed in the bell tent we had access to the lounge area that had a tv, plugs to charge your devices as the bell tents only have enough power for the solar lights, in the lounge you could also play games (card and board games) there’s a cafe where you could get breakfast at an extra price and an evening meal, we didn’t have these but we did sit in this area I had a lovely pot of Yorkshire tea (my favourite tea). There is unisex showers or there is a female and male ones in the toilets, and the shower was lovely in the ladies nice and clean, my husband said their was quite a few slugs on the wall in the men’s shower room. My son is a wheelchair user so he couldn’t access the outside shower but they had wet room inside the property that is lovely a spacious for him to shower dry and dress. In the bell tents the beds are comfortable you get a double bed 2x singles and a fold out bed bedding comes included (bring your own towels) there is also a wood burner in the bell tent you get a packet of logs for one night and can purchase more if needed. Beds are comfortable. They describe on the website how to get to the local beach as it isn’t walking distance.
I think they could add some fairy lights outside the bell tent that would add something else to it. Also a whistle kettle you could possible put on top of the burner to heat so you can have a cup of tea without having to go inside.

My first time in a hostel . I'm 60 and was worried I would feel awkward but there was a complete mix of people of all ages. Everyone was friendly. The lounge is a great place to meet people. There is a restaurant/bar with decent food. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm and people were considerate of others.
Nothing the hostel can do about this but it is about a 30 minute walk from town and you do have to cross 2 quite busy roads. Worth breaking up the walk at the Pirate inn which has a lovely beer garden with a play area for kids with swing, slide etc. There was a band on when I visited who were great and played on despite the torrential downpour we had that night!

Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Very difficult to fault! Loved the seclusion feeling of the property. The facilities were clean and everything worked well. I liked that the showers and toilets were private.
A little bit far from public transport. I came in winter so I’m not sure if there would be more during the Summer. But easy to walk to and from the town. I had a suitcase so needed to get a taxi to and from. Costs about £9. I would maybe request there to be more large bowls in the kitchen as well as some community essentials to cook with like salt/pepper, sugar, and olive oil.

Great stay at the YHA in Penzance! It's a lovely, well run hostel in a beautiful, quiet, location just 15 mins walk from the town and seafront and 5 mins walk to bus the stop. It's also near to St Michael's Mount. The facilities were excellent, with a large, well equipped self catering kitchen and dining room. It also has a café/bar/restaurant and a comfortable tv lounge with plenty of chairs and sofas. There were plenty of individual shower rooms and separate loos, including an accessible bathroom downstairs. The staff were really nice and helpful, and the place is kept really clean. It was nice to meet people from different countries. I would defo stay again!

I really like the look of the hotel with the fancy dining room and the study room where you can relax and read books with comfy seats. The breakfast was delicious and the bedroom is quite cosy and nice to have multiple beds with multiple guests or room mates to chat with.
I would say walking out the hotel and walking down to the main road can be very dangerous by how busy with traffic. If you have no taxi service and have to cross a busy main road just to catch a bus.

Good location, very clean. Good facilities, lounge, dining room, lots of toilets & showers
Breakfast: wasn’t expensive but wasn’t cheap. Three things make a good breakfast, eggs, sausages & bacon. Disappointed no fried eggs just scrambled, not come across that before. Sausages & bacon weird, served by the lady behind the counter but both items were on separate dishes but separated into two distinct piles, cremated bacon & normal bacon, was served the cremated. No idea why the sausages were separated into two piles but for my taste anaemic, I prefer crispier. I am puzzled as I was the first to eat at 07:30 when it opened, if it was freshly cooked why were they presented that way & cooked differently 🤷🏻♂️. So equals an average breakfast.

The property offered a lot of opportunities to explore by staff offering the most amazing advice and guide maps. on top of being knowledgeable of the area, they were super polite and professional! The rooms suited our group of 12 perfectly and offered lots of privacy even tho it was shared facilities there was a self catering facilities as well as catered facilities allowing us to do as we please for food choice the lounge was nice and cozy, offering us a communal space to hang out the hostel is very nearby to both train station and supermarkets, petrol stations etc
there aren’t any laundry facilities, and we had travelled in on quite the wet day, so places to dry our clothes would have been nice - our only option was to use the 1 radiator per room when it comes to cooling the room down, the windows open to a certain degree but due to restrictors, they don’t go a great deal

A£s ever with YHA the staff are fabulous, helpful and friendly. Pleasantly surprised to have a single room with nearby shower and toilet. Goof location just up and out of town, well within walking distance. Able to cook and use the food I brought in the well appointed kitchen and dining room. Value for money is ridiculously good. A great overnight stay. On a final not I left a phone cable and pug behind which the manager sought out for me to collect later. great service!
Nothing, this YHA is spot on good.

Location was nice and quiet, everything was clean and the staff was amazing and so very helpful (we stayed there as a group of 8, had a last minute change and they did everything to accomodate us). I honestly didn't expect this level of comfort for that price and I can't recommend this hostel enough.
It was a bit stuffy in the room and the windows couldn't be fully opened, but we were provided with a big fan, so finally it was all good.

Beautiful location to explore Cornwall, clean rooms, and very helpful staff, which will respond quickly to your messages. Parking available
The people who share your room, you might have a reserved bed and come back the next night, and someone else is using it. People who move around after 11 pm and make very loud noise while asleep make it difficult to fall asleep. If I rebook, I will consider a private room
