A very,very, short distance from Penzance railway station. The Bus station is equally close. Arriving late, the instructions to gain access to to Guest house and room were precise and easy to follow. The premises are spotlessly clean, in good repair, and decoration. Although on a main road out of Penzance, My room wasn't adversely affected by traffic noise, or the Pub next door. Room 3 is lovely and bright, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was included in the rate, and is cooked to order, by the owner / host Rob. I did say to Rob, if this had been the TV show, Four in a Bed, it would be a Ten (10) They do have a few house rules, which when explained to the guest, are more than reasonable, and help to keep the Carnson running efficiently.

Location is central to buses, trains, taxis and all amenities including beaches and shopping . Breakfast was exceptional and always servred with a smile and when asked suggestions for travel or where to go. Both Rob and Linda took great care of me when I stayed for 3 weeks and made me feel welcome, even putting themselves out when I needed to leave my bags after check out. I am eternally greatful to them for making this trip eventful and I will certainly miss them.

Check-in was 10 a.m. We were able to arrive in Penzance before 11 a.m., drop our stuff at the hotel (1 block from the train station entrance and bus station) and get on with a full day of sightseeing right away. The breakfast options were perfect (cooked breakfast to order from wide options). They had peanut butter and Marmite. Most significant, when our tour company dumped us without warning and our phones did not work, they contacted the company (who had supposedly sent us an email we never got) and then made calls to several other transport companies to negotiate a price for a taxi (Penzance Taxis) to take us to Tintagel which is close to 2 hours' dirve, wait 2 hours and take us home for close to what we were to pay for our tour with Meneage Tours. Our hosts at Carnson House saved our holiday that day.

We could have used a larger bed, but the one we had was as advertised, so not their fault. The room was on a busy street next to a pub, so I was expecting noise, but by 9 pm it was surprisingly quiet and traffic noise was light before 7 a.m.. So, unless you wanted to sleep during the day, the room was fine.

The hospitality received from Rob and Belinda is exceptional. They always extend a warm welcome, very supportive and kind throughout the stay. The BREAKFAST was just awesome!! Due to my job I have traveled around the world and stayed in many 5-7 stars regularly, but trust me their breakfasts were just awesome beats all the star rankers... It will just melt you in a cozy yummy world... Very conveniently located just off to the station and main bus stops. Also the shops and high streets include large stores ( sainsbury's, tesco) also convenient stores like tesco express other brands are very near buy. Lots of Pubs and restaurants are just within walking paths. You can literally went there with nothing packed and get everything nearbuy, in luding your sports gears from SportsDirect in 3 min walking distance. They have also a lovely sunny small organised succulent garden for you to enjoy tea/coffee in the morning. Rooms are cozy, small but perfectly organized. We stayed there couple and a 5yers toddler - with absolute ease. Thanks to Belinda for helping us with lovely succulents tubes - which are growing well in our hanging balcony garden. The property is very well managed with love by Belinda and Rob.... Thanks a lot we will come back again...

The property is just on the main street side, hence a little traffic noise, specially when you are in the street side room in summer days keeping window open. Else no problem at all.

The location is right beside the train and bus station so the accessibility was great . The hospitality of Rob & Belinda was excellent. the rooms were very clean and cozy. The toiletries provided was really of good quality . The breakfast served very quickly and was tasty . the overall property was really excellent .

The commode of room 3 was a little wobbling and I'm sure the owner would fix it soon .

I couldn't have asked for anything more Comunication with the proprietor was exceptional. Room was nice and cosy, I could have stayed in the shower all day, it was that good A good choice of on the menu If you want the extreme. Go for the Cornish breakfast. I decided to have Poached eggs on toast I would definitely recommend it. I would definitely go back there again. It's well worth the price.

There was nothing to dislike

I enjoyed my stay at Carnson House, Belinda and Rob were amazing hosts, nothing to much trouble. The breakfast was excellent every day. Room was comfortable, quiet and very clean as was the bathroom. No traffic noise or trains even though Carnson House is very close to the train station couldn't hear them.

Excellent breakfast, lots of options, full English, fruit, cereal etc. Very close to train and bus. Well maintained room on second floor of house, about 6 or 7 rooms in the b&b. No noise from road,train, or small pub next door.

Bit of a walk to pubs and more touristy areas, but not bad, 5-10 minutes. Small bathroom, had to have door open to use sink. But was a nice room.

The breakfast was really nice. The bedroom we had was beautiful and bright. It felt like staying in the bedroom of a friend's house (but with a much better and private bathroom). Loved the clever keys. And the early checking time was so helpful after our ferry was cancelled and we had to book this last minute. The people that run this place obviously really care about it and for it.

One of the windows was a little difficult to close completely but we managed it and warmed the room up lovely with the heaters on.

The room was clean and cared for, the shower worked well and the beds were super soft and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing 🤩 and the hosts were kind and helpful, and happy to cater for dietary needs.

Given it is right next to a busy road and the railway station, it was a little noisy outside and we had to close the window at night, but obviously you can’t have it both ways and the location is super convenient for travelling.
