Torwood House has a very homely and restful vibe. Linda provides a friendly welcome and every contact with her was smiley/accommodating. Steve provided a lush cooked breakfast and I instantly noticed the quality of produce being served on the plate eg free range egg, butchers sausages. Also a comprehensive choice of cereals and continental style appetisers to fuel up for a busy day ahead. Room was comfy, especially the bed, nice shower and had all the facilities needed for my stay.

There was nothing I didn't like, and if there had been anything that I needed to highlight then I feel that Linda would be only happy to help.

Spacious rooms. The host was very welcoming. The place was homey, feels like you’re staying with family. Lots of little touches 🌷🍪🥛 We should all avoid big chains such as Premier inn and help small local businesses like this. No comparison.

Lynda was a lovely host (we didn't meet Steve but his breakfasts were delicious!). Our room was beautifully decorated, with a huge bed and a nice, compact shower room. There was a great choice for breakfast, including cereals, pastries, fruit, yoghurt and lots of cooked options. The house is about a 20 minute walk from the station and is a great base for walking to Mousehole and Marazion.

It was no fault of the hosts but the people in the room above were very early risers (5.30 and 6.30) and once they were awake, so were we unfortunately, as the sound of their footsteps and the extractor fan in the bathroom carried down to ours.

Substantial breakfast with lots of choice. Very welcoming hosts. Room was clean and comfortable and a good size, especially important for us as we had two dogs who needed crates in the room. There was plenty of room for us as well. Coffee, tea and biscuits in the room were much appreciated.

Not sure there was anything that could have been improved. It perfectly met our needs.

The room was very clean and comfortable, exceptionally quiet and relaxing. Owners helpful and friendly, breakfast was perfect with every dietary need catered for as well. Great area to explore with exceptionally restaurants in the local area, especially for seafood. We will definitely stay again next time we visit, have already highly recommended to friends as an excellent place to stay.

Nothing, everything was perfect

We really can't fault anything.....Steve & Lynne go way beyond what most guesthouses provide & we were so thankful that they allow dogs....even our large Rhodesian Ridgeback!! Our room was large, comfortable & clean....I'm guessing a thorough deep clean is done after every guest/pets as there was NO evidence or odours from previous guests.The little touches like cleaning,fresh towels,bed made every day (not all guest houses do this in my experience!),the fridge in the room was a fab touch & very useful plus the fact that fresh milk is provided!! Both Lynne & Steve are so kind, naturally friendly & helpful.The breakfast menu is comprehensive & all superbly cooked,also an array of lighter offerings for those watching their waistlines.The guesthouse is in a very convenient setting a short walk to the seafront and two simple routes into town roughly 15-20 mins walk.We can thoroughly recommend Torwood House for any visit to Penzance & will visit again.....lovely to meet you both & thankyou once again for your kindness & making us feel so welcome!

Lynda is an exceptional host, and we look forward to visiting more again in the future. This was our third visit, and we brought friends! She set us up in rooms that were convenient to each other, and also so as not to disturb other guests. They laid out the dining room so we were all able to sit together for breakfast, and made sure we had all the information needed to enjoy our stay.

No notes! Torwood House is our favourite.

The property was in a good location. Easy walking to the shopping centre, eateries and the bay.

The only downside was the birds in the trees roosting overnight where you park on the street. Our car was covered in bird droppings out first morning and it was very difficult to remove. We just found somewhere elsewhere close by not under a tree and that solved the problem.

My mum and I stayed at this charming B&B for 5 nights and it was a delightful accommodation. From the moment we stepped through the door we instantly felt welcomed by our host Lynda, who was always extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and very spacious, we even had a small fridge. The breakfast was delicious and they offered a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. Thank you for a lovely stay. We cannot recommend it enough.

We stayed in room 7 right at the top of the house this was great as it was roomy with a sofa which was so good for resting on after the long walks around the area. Lynda was very knowledgeable about the area and places to visit and gave us good advice on places to have meals. We would definitely recommend staying at Torwood.
